  1. Hmmmmm Beer!! And a happy Friday to you all as well - it's been a long week and I'm pleased it's the weekend! I'm quite relaxed now too - I made us chicken arabita with tagliatelli and had a Peroni or 2 whilst cooking. Then a glass or two of wine followed with dinner and now I'm posting rubbish on the forum!! As for the rest of the weekend; tomorrow I plan on polishing the new car I have just bought for Julia, then out for a meal tomorrow night and possibly a blast in the ZX somewhere on Sunday. Richard:cool3:
  2. Many happy returns Graham!! I hope you had a great day mate...:happybday: Richard:cool2:
  3. FunkySi - Permanent Ban due to repeated warnings about his behavior and posts the committee have voted to issue a permanent ban to this member.
  4. Oh yes - I remember her!! Richard:wink:
  5. Welcome to the club - and that's a tidy looking Z you have mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
  6. I'm inclined to agree!! It's still a Mk1 Escort - and whilst they have gained status over the years (when I was 17 Mk1 and 2 Escorts were tossers' cars) - I'd be happy with an RS or Mexico for a 20th of the price!! Richard:biggrin:
  7. Brilliant......
  8. How about - keep the Beemer as it is and insure the ZX on a classic policy. You won't need any no claims on the ZX then - although you will have limited mileage. You could pay around £2-300 with about 5k miles p/a; I have another daily driber and I'm with Lynbrooks for the ZX..... Richard:thumbup1:
  9. Good to see you back buddy! Richard:chef:
  10. Welcome to the club James! Richard:batman:
  11. RichardS replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - Non 300ZX
Back on topic...... ....Craig, i can recommend hydrochloric acid - that'll "take care" of your skin..... ......at least so you'll never have to worry about it! Richard:tt2:
  12. Happy birthday mate! Richard:thumbup1:
  13. I think it's more due to when they make the cars in right hand drive for the UK market..... ......Whilst you can make a RHD dash, swap the steering wheel, brake servo and battery etc; you can't change things like the position of the engine and gearbox or the shape of the bellhousing! A lot of Audis and BMs have oddly offset pedals (or an awkwardly positioned clutch) because of that! Richard:blink:
  14. Nice one JAson..... ......again!! Richard:thumbup:
  15. Many happy returns Mike - I hope you had a great day mate! Richard:rockon:
  16. I'm not keen - for the same reasons posted already. And if they look too blue (like in the pics), one would be more noticable to our friendly traffic officers.......:pinch: Richard:chef:
  17. Hi Jane, You have given me an idea - "knowledgeable club official!" Hmmmmm - one for me to discuss in The Committee rooms.....:winkiss: As for your question - JeffTT owns Zedworld in the traders section. Give him a call; he's always willing to help us! Otherwise he is frequently online as well.... Jason Farrow is the owner of "The Beast" and is indeed also a regular on the forum. Good luck - BTW I'm with Lynbrooks too; they are very good! Richard:chef:
  18. I was going to ask what tyres you have - as they can make one hell of a difference! I ran Dunlops (the SP Sport 9000) on my old red Z and it behaved fine in the wet. My current Z had Avons on the back and TBH they were rubbish - the car was not stable in the wet when driving even slightly enthusiastically. Now I have the new Goodyear F1 Asymetrics all round and the car has sooooo much more grip; the right tyres really do transform the car! As for your tyre size - the rears should be 265/35/18 to maintain the correct rolling circumference. The "40" profile is too high on an 18 inch rim with tyres that wide......... But, pussies or not, do take care in wet or slippery conditions. There have been plenty of nice Zs written off, with some sad pics posted on here to warn others....... Richard:chef:
  19. That was my thought to Graham.....:whistling: Richard:detective:
  20. Welcome to the club Kris - and to the world of Zedding!! Get some pics up too buddy..... Richard:cool2:
  21. Very good..... .....and this one made me laugh too.... Richard:whistling:
  22. Some nice arty pics there Santa!! Richard:cool2:
  23. I've had this too; only once though - on a mobile phone IIRC! But as soon as the buyer give you positive feedback they release the money That is indeed what it's there for - I contacted Paypal to ask why. And yes; whilst it is inconvenient for the seller it is a bit of extra peace of mind for the buyer. So I can appreciate it as a bit of a step forward.... Richard:cool2:
  24. Welcome to the club - and nice car you have there! Richard:cool2:
