  1. Last few, just before Julia and I departed......
  2. A few more cars - that AC looked to be a genuine early 1960's Cobra.....?
  3. Gary and me trying out Craig's lovely (7.0 litre V8) Ultima for size.........
  4. As you may have read, we had a small club stand at the Pageant of Motoring, held in the grounds of Sandringham, to celebrate Her Majesty's platinum jubilee yesterday.... Thanks to Craig and Gary for coming along; it was a real shame that Paul did not make it. We all missed you mate - you weren't the first and sadly you won't be the last... It just serves as a painful reminder to take care in the wet ? Despite that - and the weather - it was still a good show. Sandringham is a lovely venue, with so much more than the cars to see. That aside, here are a few car-related pics of the day.
  5. Hi and welcome back to the club mate! If your Zed has only just started doing this after a cam belt change, then I would ask.... 1. Who did the 'belt change 2. Did they use a genuine Nissan belt kit The timing marks on non-OEM kits - even supposed quality brands like Blueprint - have been proven to be "out" And whilst a competent mechanic should still be able to perform a cambelt change, they would probably not realise that the timing marks were not quite right! One tooth either way, may not damage your engine, but the car sure as hell would not run right. That's why I would only use a Nissan belt - and why I would only trust Jimmer to do the work, these days.
  6. Hi and welcome to the club Will....! Richard?
  7. Happy birthday Mike - have a great day mate!! Richard & Julia
  8. Congratulations Your Majesty..... Long may your reign continue!
  9. Nice one Gary!!
  10. Thanks for the update Azzy - it's coming on nicely mate!
  11. A sad loss to Acting - Ray Liotta passed away aged 67 today. I thought he was great in Goodfellas - one of my favourite movies..... RIP sir ?
  12. No worries JP - albeit a shame that I won't be seeing you there, getting your fine Zed back to its former glory is far more important..... I know I'd be doing the same mate ? So I shall look forward to catching up at another event later this summer - then AGM, hopefully!
  13. I just love that 'phone - it adds to the provenance of the car, commensurate of the era from which it came?
  14. If it's clean and rust-free then definitely £20k+ 300ZX. 89,000miles is still very low for a 30 year old car - even if mileage becomes irrelevant at that age... ?
  15. My thoughts exactly - lovely example indeed and certainly worth the investment from the right person?
  16. Lovely - and cherry red pearl too, rare car in a rare colour.... Awesome?
  17. Hi and welcome Pete, I can't add anymore than my fellow members above have - but concur that a nice, unmolested, UK-spec car could be worth in the region of £20k if it's in good (rust-free) condition. Also, it it manual or auto?
  18. Thanks for the messages folks - I'll get the first batch ordered ?
  19. UPDATE...! Looks like I can't just order "X" number of exhibitors tickets and allocate them on the day - the registration site wants names and vehicle details.... I guess it's part of the security, seeing as it's in HM's back garden ? Rather than publish personal details on the open forum, please PM me - or e-mail richardsmith at 300zx dot co dot uk Thanks!
  20. Nice one Paul - look forward to meeting you there mate!
  21. ....And as for what I did to my Zed yesterday - I took mine our nice and early, did the supermarket shop at 7am and then took the scenic route home. And then gave it a nice wash before the sun got too hot.... Then following the little mis-hap in my post above, I got the dual action polisher out and buffed the rear bumper to polish out the scuff. Although I didn't stop there... I was enjoying myself so much, that I went over the whole car. Firstly with Meguair's Ultimate Compound, and then with Autoglym SRP. I then gave it two coats of Chemical Guy's Jet Seal - which came recommended by Peach - I love that stuff! My Zed is now sitting in the garage with a very nice shine. I'll leave the Jet Seal a few days, and then add a nice layer of wax - probably Purple Haze. to bring out the blue-ness ? All ready for Sandringham on the 5th!!
  22. LOL - I reckon most of us do that.... I know I do! Sadly, even though I parked like that, on an end bay, in Sainsburys car park yesterday, some idiot still managed to scuff my Zed's rear bumper.?? Luckily I was able to polish the worst of it out, but there still remains some light crazing in the lacquer; albeit not so visible unless you look hard enough.
  23. Thanks Trevor - and thanks for your help too mate?
  24. I think we can hold it open for you mate ?
