  1. Top job there Rose - it looks superb!! Richard:thumbup:
  2. I never let any car warm up before driving off - it's much better for the engine to start the car and drive off right away......! Richard:yes:
  3. That's what I was thinking too..... .....best of luck out there mate; those islands belong to England! Richard:cool3:
  4. Yup - the 300zx was the car which sent Toyota's engineers back to the drawing board to re-design the new Supra. The Z32 was a tough act to beat, which was why the Mk4 Supra didn't finally appear on the market until late 2003 - when the ZX was in it's final months on sale here.... Richard:cool3:
  5. That was the UK spec car - which was officially rated at 326bhp remember!!
  6. The prices went down towards the end of their UK production as Nissan tried to shift them out of the showrooms; hence they represented good value in the day when compared to the Mk4 Soop, Mitsi 3000GT and Pork 968. I have the WhatCar magazine article pitting them against each other, when the Soop came on the market - it was the October 1993 edition. The 300zx weighed in at £33,230 with leather and CD; compared to the Soop at £37,500; 3000GT at £38,329 and Pork 968 at £36,722 (no extras in that price!) Performance stats as tested by WhatCar (if you're interested) were: 0-60: 300zx = 5.6; 3000GT = 5.8; Supra = 5.1; Porsche = 6.1 0-100: 300zx = 14.5; 3000gt = 16.1; Supra = 12.3; Porsche = 15.7 All top out at between 153 & 155mph; with only the ZX and Supra being limited. Hope that helps..... Richard:cool2:
  7. Eeek, that could have been a lot worse...:scared: I'm pleased Danni is OK though; so please wish her all the best from me Jeff, and I hope she gets the house sorted mate! Richard:sad:
  8. Hi mate, Headlamps are H1 in the main beam but the dipped depends on whether UK or J-spec. UK cars have H3 dipped beam but imports are H3C..... ....although if you're upgrading to HIDs then you just need the H3 kit for dipped - whether UK or import. As for your front tyre - yes, a chunk peeling off the sidewall will be an MOT failure. What size do you need - post it up as someone might be able to help? As for the other bits, I'm sure others will be able to advise you on those shortly.... Richard:yes:
  9. Welcome to the club mate! Richard:cool2:
  10. Welcome to the UK and to the club mate! Richard:cool2:
  11. Nice one Keith - and thanks for stepping up to the plate!! Good luck in your new role - I'm sure you'll do a fine job mate! Richard:thumbup:
  12. I would like to inform the membership that owing to the need for constant IT support and forum administration, the job of It guru is too much to ask of just one person. So, despite the fantastic job that Pete (Turb0z) does for the club, we have decided that a deputy is required to ensure the smooth running of the forums. The Committee has given its full backing for Jaikai (Lee Young) to take on this role within the club; which also entitles him to a role on The Committee. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Lee on his new position; welcome Lee - on behalf of The Committee, I'm sure you will do a great job! Richard Club Secretary For The committee
  13. Nice one Keith - and good luck in your new role mate! Richard:chef:
  14. Always disclose the facts to your insurance company! In your case though you could probably say that the car is an imported twin turbo; and then list the modifications to the car, from the normal stock TT spec. With imports they are not always registered correctly upon entry to the UK, so there is a possibility that it will just be recorded as a 300zx and nothing more. On the cost comparison between a UK spec TT and an imported NA; whilst there are many specialist insurers who do not load the premium for imports, I bet most "normal" companies will still quote lower the UK spec even though it's more powerful than the imported NA.... Richard:yes:
  15. Welcome back Jerrick! Richard:rockon:
  16. Welcome to the club Lance - you've come to the right place!! There are a few for sale on here at the moment actually; do take a look in our for sale section. Also if you find a potential example, I'm sure that there'll always be a member local-ish to its location who would be only too happy to accompany you on a viewing! Good hunting mate! Richard:cool3:
  17. Hey Chris - just don't forget that when you next log in mate....!! Richard:sorcerer:
  18. A belated happy birthday Alex - hope you had a good day! Richard:rockon:
  19. I do have a few small investments in quoted shares - but I tend to just leave them running, as i have no need (or desire in the current climate) to cash them in...... My main investments are in share ISAs though - I invest my full allowance each tax year with a company called Investec. I forget how many I have on the go now - but the monthly income is currently over £400 per month and it's tax free! Richard:yes:
  20. Hi Rose, I have just checked and Alex is showing as a subbed member - so he should now have access once more..... Richard
  21. Many happy returns mate! Richard:rockon:
  22. Many happy returns John - have a great day!! Richard:happybday:
  23. I reckon it would be tricky mate - the oldest 350zs are just coming up to 10 years old and most classic insurers require the car to be at least 15 or 20 years old to qualify as classics. There will no doubt be some insurers who might though.... Richard:cool2:
  24. D'oh - I didn't read that bit..... Still, I did say I was no expert....
  25. Good luck to you Del; I hope it all works out for you mate. Especially with a little one to take care of too..... Richard:cool2:
