  1. Balls of steel........ or just a load of balls..... Judge for yourselves!! Richard:online2long:
  2. My first thoughts - you didn't say whether you have already had a V5 for the car. DVLA is currently issuing the new red/pink V5 doc to replace all the old blue ones..... .....so unless you have just bought your ZX, have you checked the details on the new V5 against the old one? If different, just return the new one to DVLA with a copy of the old one, to show what should be on there! Richard:cool2:
  3. That is a very good point!! And like you I'd never buy part-worns myself. But the Ebay ad was clearly misleading so Z32bolt should be entitled to his money back.... Good luck mate! Richard:flowers:
  4. Just my own 3 cars - Merc SLK350 at 308bhp; the 300zx at 300bhp and the Rav-4 at just shy of 150bhp...... So a little over 750bhp every day (although the ZX actually lives in the garage).... Richard:chef:
  5. Welcome to the club mate! Richard:chef:
  6. Welcome to the club mate! Richard:thumbup:
  7. Mine is about the same as Allan's - but that's because I live at the arse-end of a very old exchange and there is very little choice available..... ......but before November that cowboy outfit known as "TalkTalk" could only muster a mere 0.3mbps; so I am not unhappy with the 2-2.5mbps I get from BT now. But I will be upgrading to BT Infinity when it arrives in my village around April.....!! Richard:detective:
  8. Definitely!! The 300zx is a GT car and most people would, I reckon, prefer to keep the a/c - it's essential on a hot day and I would not buy any car without it!! As for power drain, unless you are using it as a track toy only, I doubt you'd notice. Besides I seem to remember that when you slam your foot down, the a/c temporarily switches off to use all the engine's power for accelerating.... Richard:thumbup1:
  9. Thank you all....!! Richard:thumbup1:
  10. I'm sure that once Lee has ironed out all the important bugs in the new software, that he will sort the forum rep thing out properly.... ....please bear with it for now as it will will be explained properly in due course..... !! Richard:oops::yes:
  11. Yup - and still will for the rest of the series. And the next one...... ......for the reasons you mentioned above..... Richard:innocent:
  12. Exactly what he said........ ......and a lot of 300zxs are autos; simply because it is a GT car (like a Jag XK8 or Aston DB7 back in the day); hence the original owners would most likely have preferred an auto. But as my learned fellow owner says, in reality there is very little difference in performance. Or economy for that matter - as overdrive in the auto is at least as high (if not higher) a gear that 5th on the manual. Fact is, the 300zx TT is a 3.0 twin turbo car from the 1990s so in either format, fuel consumption is not going to be anywhere near that of a similar car from today. Think low 20mpg at best and you won't be dissapointed - but expect 18-20mpg unless you drive like a vicar heading off to Sunday School. Good luck in your search - we're always here to help!! Richard:cool3:
  13. Thank you soooo much!! Julia treated me to a very nice meal (and a drink or two) in our local pub - which was very nice!! Thai crab cakes followed by monk fish wrapped in parma ham........ And I am now a little under the influence. It all started so nicely with a beer or two, but then a cork was popped and, well, here we are!! Richard:pint::pint::pint:
  14. Thanks everyone!! I see the new forum has generated a big birthday banner when I logged on - great idea; cheers Lee!! Richard:thumbup1:
  15. Happy birthday Bazza - and what a great day for a birthday it is matey!! Richard:happybday:
  16. Shame as they are nice wheels which really suit the 300zx...... ....he says having had them on my old red one!! I believe they are still available new too - however the original importer is no longer on business it seems. Richard:whistling:
  17. It was still entertaining but not one of the better ones.... .....and there was a moment around 8.35 when I thought "hmmmm, only 25 minutes to go - that's gonna fly by. Not!" Richard:mellow:
  18. Happy 50th mate! Richard:happybday:
  19. Hi Chris, after reading your second post - and how much you're charging - I wouldn't bother with her mate! Richard:thumbdown:
  20. Banners are occasionally available to traders Dave - but at extra cost I believe - for more info please contact Groover mate.....!! Richard:cool2:
  21. Just seen this myself - and at only 48.... RIP
  22. Yours is way better Chris...... .....but then the customer is always right, so they tell us. Even when they are blatantly wrong, stupid, obstinate, misinformed; the customer is still right...... Richard:2guns:
  23. Exactly mate - it doesn't..... ......however if your turbo seals are on the way out, then a decat will actually show the problem more as the absence of the cats will allow the dreaded blue smoke to be more visible! So if you decat - or simply fit a less restrictive exhaust than standard - and start to see smoky turbos, that's because the problem was already there!! Richard:yes:
  24. Welcome back Si...!! Richard:cool2:
  25. I agree Kim...... .......Thanks for all your hard work last night Lee - and your continued efforts in ironing out all of the little bits over the next few days! And on behalf of the committee, please bear with us during any teething issues that materialise over this initial period; we apologise in advance for any inconvenience..... Rest assured that Lee will be on the case to fix anything, so that it should not spoil your enjoyment of the forum - and please do report any issues that you notice whilst online, that way Lee will know about them earlier and can fix them quicker!! Once again thank you all for your patience last night - and please enjoy the new forum!! Richard:cool3:
