FAO:- Mr. Chris Bower
Exactly Bri - bad show indeed. And to add insult to injury, Daz has lost a £25k sale to a competitor as his 'site was not up and running properly thanks to Chris not completing his part of the deal they had. That kind of thing is bad enough normally, but in the current economic climate when sales are not so easy to come by, then it really hurts. Daz, you are welcome mate. We all feel for you right now and any sympathy that fellow members had for Chris has, I expect, faded right away following this news. Richard

Daz mate - I am so sorry to hear you still have not received your discs. Personally I have heard enough now and, despite the personaly problems Chris may be experiencing, I agree this situation is simply not good enough too. Whilst you can appreciate there is not much the club can do in respect of private deals between individuals; we can still take action to reduce the likelihood of this happening again. I will be putting the issue before the rest of the committee and I can promise there will be repercussions for Chris as the 300zx.co.uk club will simply not tollerate such behaviour towards fellow members. Prom night
Seconded - a belated many happy returns Roobarb and (F&B's aside) I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day!!! So true Jeff - we come from the same school of thought matey!! And as for respect - the little fookers of today use the "R" word when it suits them; like they deserve respect from the off. When I always learned - and still believe - that one must first earn it..... And my final comment on the subject - I have 2 branches of Frankie & Benny's within 12 miles; 1 in High Wycombe and 1 in Aylesbury. One of my best frinds and his wife quite like F&Bs; so on the last couple of occasions we have been out together, that's where we have gone. But like Roobarb's experience (although not so bad as we were not celebrating anything), I found the place was full of over-excited 12 year olds; none of which was fitted with a volume control. And sadly the food in the branches I have visited is pretty ropey too - so I can truly liken the whole experience to a McD's birthday party from my school days............:clown: Richard:laugh::rockon:

Just love one of these
I like everything about the car - except that "go faster stripe" but what a car it is though.... ....the updated front end is like a cross between the '89 and '99 spec; plus 350bhp stock is not to be sneezed at!! Great find I reckon Gary..... Richard:thumbup1:
-
A stunning classic......
You're right there Gary - I've never seen one before. However the German fella also has another 220s back home!! Although that one is the 4 door saloon variant in black; still a 1959 though and, according to the pics he showed me on his I-pad, it's in just as good condition as the white one. He has built an underground garage at his house to store them in... Richard:thumbup1:

New LED Rear Quad Lights In Carbon Fiber Andy Isherwood - The Whole Story!!
Tis done mate!! That looks superb Andy - I was intrigued when you showed me the pics on your phone at the last Red Lyon meet. But seeing the bigger pictures on here does them a lot more justice. Looks like a lot of work has gone into that but it has definitely paid off mate; I cannot wait to see the car in the flesh at the next meet!! Richard:thumbup1:

A stunning classic......
As nice as it was - it would have to be a no! The 220s was simply beautiful, but it was rather an old girl more suited to cruising sedately along Sunset Boulevard as opposed to storming around with the turbos screaming!!! That said, I'd happily have one as well as the ZX etc...... Richard:rockon:

A stunning classic......
Whilst Julia and I were in the Isle of Wight a couple of weeks ago, we returned to our hotel one afternoon to find a gorgeous 1950s Mercedes in the car park. It was a 1959 220s convertible on German plates. I got chatting with the owner over pre-dinner drinks - a very nice old German chap; who also happened to guess that I owned the Z parked next to it - he imported the Merc from California (hence the amazing rust-free condition) and he took me out for a spin the following morning!! It was a nice surprise to our holiday!! Richard:thumbup1:

sunny days are here for now
Looking good mate - I cleaned mine and Julia's cars today as well!!! Nice ZX you have there too; I love a shiney white 300zx.... Richard:rockon:

motorscape banger rally to prauge lexus ls400 4.0 v8
LOL - I wouldn't have it done either.... ....not for the suspense element, but the 60k limit (or 100k overseas - which might actually be kms not miles; 100k kms = 62.5k miles remember) is always going to be on the cautious side! Chances are it will soldier on long past 60k without snapping. So as you've bought it just to do a banger run, why spend the money? Just take the chance - if it fails you're out of the running, if it doesn't you've saved yourself some cash and had fun into the bargain!! Richard:thumbup1:

Made me smile :)
LOL - Lionel Rich-Tea!!! That's just as funny as the joke about how you turn a duck into a soul singer..... ......you put it into a hot oven until its Bill Whithers...... Richard:clown:

Happy Birthday DJ_Party_Favor
Many happy returns mate!! Richard:rockon:

Inspirational journey
Sounds great mate - congratulations on your wedding and enjoy the trip!! What could be better than an epic road trip in the ZX with your wife (and don't say an epic road trip in the ZX WITHOUT your wife.....LOL:blush:). Good luck to you both and enjoy the rest of your honeymoon....!! Richard:thumbup1:
-
1678 Km, 433 pics, £300 fuel, 6 days road trip, AWESOME!!!
Great pics Daz - and the ZX is just the car for such journeys. I'd always take my ZX on a trip like that - I have no concerns on the reliability if the ZXs are well looked after examples like yours and mine!! Richard:thumbup1:

opinion on Zed
Exactly mate - all the more reason to stay away I'd say..... Richard:tongue_smilie:

Made me smile :)
That's the spirit Al - you'll be "Up all night" at this rate; but you'll not be "The only one" Richard:laugh:
-
Made me smile :)
LOL - but I could go on "All night long"...... ......and "I can't slow down" Richard:rockon:

Made me smile :)
Yup - "say you, say me" mate!!
