Your car history
Here's mine..... Way back in 1987 at the tender age of 17: 1976 Mk1 Cavalier 1.6GL saloon 1978 version of the above 1977 Mk1 Cavalier 1.9GLS sports hatch Then in 1988: 1979 Opel Manta Berlinetta - twin Webbers, Janspeed etc. Excellent car! 1984 Cavalier Mk2 1.8 SRi 1986 Cavalier Mk2 1.8 SRi Another year later: 1988 Astra 2.0 GTE 8v (fook knows how I afforded it at the time) 1988 Mk3 cavalier 2.0 CDi 1961 Rover 100 P4 (classic car - was my dad's, he gave it to me when he stopped driving) Then from the 1990s onwards: 1989 Mk3 Cavalier 2.0 CDi auto 1991 Mk3 Cav 2.0 CDi auto 1992 Ford Scorpio 2.0 saloon (crappiest car ever. 6 months old and back to Ford every week) 1992 Mk3 Cav 2.0 CDi manwell 1994 Toyota Carina E GTi 2.0 173 bhp. Fast, under-rated saloon car 1974 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 - kept it as a classic car for 5 years until it broke 1991 Toyota Supra Mk3 turbo auto 1992 Mk3 Supra turbo 3.0 targa GT (Import special edition - it was just like KITT!) 1991 300zx twin turbo auto UK spec (my first 300zx!! - sold it when I bought the blue one) 1999 Toyota Rav-4 2.0 GX 3-door 1999 Mercedes SLK 230 kompressor auto 2002 Toyota Rav-4 2.0 NRG 2006 Mercedes SLK350 auto with paddle shift. 1994 300zx twin turbo auto UK spec (current car) 2006 Toyota Rav-4 XTR (Still got - Julia uses it mostly) 2009 Mercedes SLK350 AMG Sport auto with paddle shift (current daily driver) I'm getting old and my memory is fading, so I found this from the last time we did it and just updated it with the latest additions!! Members / Reg Users Banlog
Hollowpoint ~ issued with permanent ban from the club and loss of all benefits. The committee of 300zx.co.uk has given serious consideration in whether to take any action following the vicious and hateful online attack over on zxclub.net that Gary Wilson was subjected to from Hollowpoint. Not to mention Hollowpoint’s further vitriolic and spiteful insults levied at further members of the 300zx.co.uk committee and moderators. This particular episode was unprovoked as Gary did no more than post over there, that he believed his name had been called into question; he did not incite any trouble and Hollowpoint just launched into a vile and nasty tirade of abuse. Hollowpoint failed to respect any attempt of a complaint against him and continued using puerile and profane language; culminating in stooping so low as to wish certain people (Gary for one) dead. We are disappointed that no action was taken against Hollowpoint other than a simple warning "not to do it again;" when such atrocious behaviour is clearly against their club’s AUP. We are further disappointed that Hollowpoint showed no remorse for his outburst and, quite blatantly, has no intention of offering an apology. In fact he seems to take not being apologetic with pride. Hollowpoint's venomous attitude towards our club was compounded today in a thread from TonyB on .net wishing Vodkashots well after his recent accident - Hollowpoint clearly displays his hatred of us. Whilst these events did not take place on the 300zx.co.uk ‘site; Hollowpoint was nonetheless a member of our club so the committee has decided that he is no longer welcome here. Therefore he is to be permanently banned from this club with immediate effect. He the right to appeal and should e-mail me within 7 days; I will post any developments in here. True mate - but the quote is £2000-odd plus VAT on top of everything; so the garage is right to quote all the parts without VAT (you're right about them missing the delivery though) as they would otherwise be adding VAT to a price that already included VAT...... TBH Ian, I reckon I'd go along with that as well. It's a much easier option and when you get the cash, just get yourself another, less troublesome, ZX..... Good luck in whatever youdecide mate! I agree with you Allan...... ....and I'd do a similar thing Dean as £1m is not enough to retire on now - and the interest nowadays wouldn't amount to much anyway.... .....so I'd clear the mortgage for one; buy a new SLK and a modest house in Cornwall (which I'd rent out as a holiday let until I was ready to move down there myself) and just carry on as normal..... Richard:biggrin:
