  1. It sure is a great place to visit now Jeff..... I remember the first time I went I was not impressed as it was a throw-back from the old "Rover" days; but since Jaguar/Landrover (and Aston) took control of the place it has improved no end!! Well worth a visit - and a superb place for a car show too!! It's a bit further up the M40 than Oxford though - it's one junction south of Warwick.... Richard:thumbup1:
  2. Well said matey....!!
  3. There is no light mate.... ....the guage reads normal oil pressure when cold, but once up to temperature the needle drops to zero - or just above zero - during normal running. Sometimes the reading is intermittent; it sometimes reads normal and fluctuates between that and zero pressure!! Richard
  4. Many happy returns mate - have a great day!! Richard:clap:
  5. Sorry to hear your bad news Rob...... ......the two options I would consider (funds permitting of course) are: 1. A full rebuild by Jimmer - expensive but worth it from all the evidence I have seen. And you can have it built to take the extra power you chose to run at, providing you have deep pockets.... 2. Get your car to JeffTTs for an engine transplant with a known good replacement - and don't run it at more than 14psi of boost!! Richard:ninja:
  6. Hello and welcome to the club mate!! I read your other thread too; so I hope you find your ideal 300zx..... .....and I've moved this to the newbie section for you as well!! If you are after information on any meets, take a look in the North West section of Events & Meetings here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?92-North-West You can always try and stir up some interest in a get-together yourself!! Richard:thumbup1:
  7. Happy birthday to our club TLO; Groover!!! Many happy returns Graham; hope you have a great day matey!!! Richard:clap::thumbup::happybday:
  8. Happy birthday mate!!! Richard:thumbup:
  9. Many happy returns Paul...!! Richard:thumbup:
  10. Many happy returns mate!! Richard:clap:
  11. If you're not worried about the cost but want quality, then you can't go wrong with Goodyear Eagle F1s. They are probably the best tyre for a ZX..... .....Conti Sport Contact 3s are very good too; I have them on my Z now and I've never had any brown trouser moments regarding grip.... Richard:thumbup1:
  12. Good luck Al...... ......and if you would like a free plug in our services to members section let me know and I'll sort it for you mate!! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?166-Services-to-Members-(by-members) Richard:thumbup1:
  13. Great idea there Graham.....:thumbup1: I have some old stuff I no longer use - and some new items as well - but I never seem to get round to doing it!! Richard:laugh: PS anyone want a nice pair of brand new, unworn Ralph Lauren jeans; straight leg 32 waist and 33 inside leg? Only £20 plus post....:shifty:
  14. Nice one Lee.....:thumbup1: I don't know how you found the time though mate as you're always fettling with things on here for us.... Richard:laugh:
  15. Hello and welcome to the forum mate!! My advice about buying a 300zx is to ignore the auto vs manual (unless you buy an n/a then it has to be manual) and just buy the best example available to you at the time.... ......the auto boxes are not bad - but as said, on a 20 year old performance car some will have been cooked to almost death by now. There always seems to be more autos available for sale than manuals (probably as most 300zxs were sold from new as autos); but there are decent manual cars out there for sale from time to time!! Plus is you buy an auto and the 'box dies then you can always do a manual conversion! Good luck in your hunt, Richard:thumbup1:
  16. Many happy returns Jamie - I hope you have a great day mate!!! Richard:happybday::clap:
  17. And if they don't come up with enough I'll sell you mine and buy Berrica's myself.......
  18. LOL - mate, for me it would have to be Steve's former car (Now Berrica's).... .....one of the best on the forum I reckon!! Richard:thumbup1:
  19. That's what I'd do also...... Richard:biggrin:
  20. Hope your mate gets his car sorted Vods..... ......but with you to help him out I'm sure it will be fine!! Richard:thumbup1:
  21. Many happy returns mate! Richard:thumbup:
  22. Very good..... ...and profoundly true!! Richard:thumbup1:
  23. LOL - I have to agree..... ....the Prius has to be the worst car ever in my opinion - not only is it fugly (why not make an electric/hybrid car look like a car instead of a washing machine on wheels??); but I hate what it stands for. And by that, I don't mean its (alleged) environmental credentials - even though you get better economy from a Golf diesel - but I simply HATE the sanctimonious cretins who actually CHOSE to drive a Prius..... .....those people are the very antithesis of what driving is all about; they look down their noses at the rest of us in v6 sports cars as if we have personally gunned down a polar bear!!! They generally hate driving but, because they have to, they drive a Prius - although they wear it like the proverbial hair shirt; as if to make a broad statement that they are actually saving our souls by not destroying the world as they pootle along at 56 in the middle lane.... Get it swapped mate - otherwise people like me will sadly mistake you for "one of them" I refer to above!!! Richard:biggrin:
  24. Lovely cars mate...... ....but too "premiership footballer" I fear!!! Richard:biggrin:
