Disabled Drivers Free Road Tax and Parking
Don't be daft mate - you don't owe me an apology at all!!! If anything matey I should apologise to you as it seems like my own comment - which perhaps with hindsight I should have explained better (or just not said at all:yinyang:) - started the whole sorry issue in the first place!! I have no excuse at all - and if my post led thing way off topic then my sincere apologies too you my friend! On a lighter note, are you going to JAE next week as it would be great to catch up once again mate! Richard:thumbup1:

Disabled Drivers Free Road Tax and Parking
No need to apologise at all Ian - you said what you said fair and square, just as you are entitled to matey!! As Gary says above, no-one can even begin to wonder what it's really like to be disabled until it happens to you. What made me comment about the free tax and parking came purely from the person I know - he does have a blue badge and benefits from free road tax etc; but he could easily afford to pay for it. Yes, he is a pensioner - but he has no mortgage, good life savings and his ex-work pension is in the region of a decent starting salary for someone beginning work today; not to mention the standard old age pension plus increased tax allowances due to his age. I was in now way suggesting such benefits should be taken from those who genuinely deserve it!! Richard:flowers:

Finally picked me new car up, so new problems lol
...Oh and as for the noisy lifter, it might be something so simple as an oil change being required!! Before we topped it up at my house yesterday, the oil looked a bit black on the dipstick... Richard:ninja:

200k miles in a zed
Exactly mate, hence some of the tales of woe we read about on here!! The VG30 engine is probably pretty tough really - it's a Nissan after all - so I have a theory that many of the catastrophic failures that get mentioned on the forums are down to the fact the the cars in question have really covered a galactic mileage; hence it was only a matter of time before things went wrong..... Need a silly name for my Zed...
....In that case, what about Zedna....?? Me, I just call mine Zed.... ....... and a 300zx is definitely a male car because it's a hairy chested monster with big balls!!! Richard:laugh:

200k miles in a zed

Professional Undersealing
Yup - same here..... .....if the underside is clean, rust free and dry then it's just a case of slapping on the underseal to increase the protection. Richard:thumbup1:

300zx Mobile Phone contracts thread
Interesting comments here - I tend to agree with Groover TBH.... ...I too have been on Orange for ages (17 years now probably) and whilst they have their moments, I must say that I have never had issue with their coverage. I have to the extremes of Cornwall and the wilds of the Yorkshire Dales but still had full reception when others on O2 and Vodafone have had nothing - hence I'm reluctant to change!! I have an old price plan still; and I hardly ever go over the £15 per month I pay - plus the unused minutes get carried forward each month too. For that price, I'm even more reluctant to change. Especially as I can't be doing with an iPhone etc - I only need it to make calls and the occasional text. As long as it's small, tough, fits neatly in my back pocket and works with the Bluetooth in my cars then I'm happy! Richard:biggrin:

Bath
LOL - no mate; she just sees the reasoning behind my argument...... ......either that or have me being Mr Sulkygit for the entire trip!!! Actually though, she knows I hate shopping and don't want to waste a holiday doing just that - but there's always room for a little compromise! We can visit the local one-off shops of course as you don't get them at home; or if we must visit Debenhams or whatever, then we have to do something I like in return.......:shifty: Richard:laugh:

Noooo!! Dean mate - just say to your mrs what I say to mine..... ....."High street shops are all the same nowadays; and I didn't drive xxx miles so you can look in Debenhams/House of Fraser/Dorothy P etc etc when you can do that with your friends at home!! We're in [bath] for a few days so let's enjoy what DIFFERENT things the city has to offer and you can go High Street shopping when we get back..." Always works - it's only reasonable..!! vauxhall zafira vxr any good
Hi Mark, for what my opinion is worth - don't do it mate!! I personally hate MPVs with a vengeance - and to coin a phrase from Jezza Clarkson; "Nothing says that you have given up on life so spectacularly as buying an MPV...." If you have family and stuff to carry around then why not just keep with tradition and buy a decent estate car. MPVs are just fashionable (and have been for ages now) because the car makers have convinced every man and his dog to buy one. Families managed fine for years up to that point with estate cars so why change anything...?? Just my personal opinion though folks - please disregard it if you are happy with your MPV..!
