  1. That's actually not bad mate...... ......I once bought the "Z" CD case (350z style); but have no further use for it now I have all my music on a USB stick... Richard:cool3:
  2. All I can say is "wow!" It's looking awesome mate - I just love a tidy, shiney red 300zx - and yours is just that!! Thanks for sharing the pics with us... Richard:cool3:
  3. Many happy returns mate - have a good day!! Richard :happybday:
  4. Awsome - I had a look around PhilP's one at JAE last year and know what you mean about the size!! Love your choice of colour too mate - enjoy!! Richard:thumbup:
  5. LOL at Jaikai and Steams........ ....And to answer the original question; yes, the door card has to come off to change the door handles. But having taken them off myself to fit new speakers, it doesn't take very long and I'm not the most technical person!! Richard:cool3:
  6. As title really..... It has been drawn to our attention that some members are not receiving notifications via e-mail of pending subscription expiries; of new PMs etc etc. This is most likely because the e-mail address stored in many people's user profiles is out of date. Please can all members check their user profiles to ensure that we have your correct e-mail address on file so that you can continue to receive notifications from the club; and add 300zx.co.uk to your "safe senders" lists so that mail from the club does not go into your spam filters. It would also help, particularly for trading transactions; issuing membership packs etc, if everyone could please complete their full name and address details as well. Please be assured that ALL information is held in complete confidence - the 300zx.co.uk club fully complies with the Data Protection Act - and your personal details will NEVER be forwarded to ANY third party by us (unless you specifically instruct us to in writing on any single one-off occasion only). Thanks for your help. Richard For The Committee
  7. Thank you Lee - it's certainly a good thing for all members to check their profiles are fully up to date..... I have also given an explanation in the other thread...... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?167247-Zedworld-closed-Saturday-19th-Jan&p=1706424&viewfull=1#post1706424 Richard:cool3:
  8. Good call on the closure today Jeff - it's not great weather to be out in any car let along a 300zx!! As for your subscription, having looked into it in more detail, it is usual for the forum software to notify everyone about a week or so before renewal time; whether one is subbed, a trader, a moderator, or committee member. However the forum software will only send the notification to the last known e-mail address (or addresses) stored in each members' profile; so if someone's e-mail address is not up to date, any notification will not get issued to the right place. It seems that many members have not updated their profiles after changing or accumulating additional e-mail addresses; hence the reason Jeff (among others) no longer receive warnings. So Jeff's expiry reminder did get issued; but to an e-mail address no longer valid. Following the new forum upgrade, Lee does receive notifications that e-mails have been rejected - but of course, he will not know what members' correct email addresses are - hence cannot do anything more with that information. Hope that makes sense! I am going to put a reminder thread in committee announcements; to encourage all members to keep their profile updated on the system to ensure notifications are received in a timely manner. Like any computer software, its capabilities are naturally limited by the information originally input into it!!! Richard:cool3: EDIT - Actually Lee does not automatically receive notifications that outgoing e-mails are returned undelivered. In Jeff's case, Lee went and manually searched the forum software to find out why Jeff had not received his e-mail!!
  9. Enough already guys - thread closed......
  10. I understand your anxiety Jane..... ......I made the mistake of driving to work in the Merc this morning so I decided to leave early to ensure I could get it home. I managed very well until I got to the vilage and had to negotiate the very steep hill up to my own road..... .....faced with leaving the car down there (at the mercy of everyone sliding down aimlessly overnight tonight) and walking home; or desparately hoofing it up the hill in the remote chance of making it to the safety of my drive, I decided to at least go for it. Much sideways drifting and sliding later, my dogged determination paid off. I made it, where the BMW behind gave up and left his car at the roadside. I'll be using Julia's Rav-4 for the next few days if I need to go out.... Send Mark out there with a shovel in the morning to dig the car out; and clear the drive so you can rest easily.... Richard:cool3:
  11. Hi mate, you have replies on your earlier thread!!
  12. Yay - it's not just me then.....
  13. Heh heh - it does mate..... .......but that little bit of snow over the rear spoiler....... made me think of the Prius. So there you have it - you own a Lambrius!!! Richard:biggrin:
  14. Looks superb Andy - amazing work there mate!! Richard:cool3:
  15. I believe that all 300zx indicators (apart from proper 1999 spec perhaps) have in-line pins..... .....as none use orange bulbs as standard because they all have a separate orange diffuser inside of the clear light fitting. Those cars with clear lights are most likely DIY removals mate.... Richard:cool3:
  16. Nice one Mark - what is sad though, is that there are some people out there who still actually fall for this type of scam. If there wasn't, then the scammers would not still be trying it!!! Richard:censored:
  17. Oooh nasty Sambo - I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery mate:flowers: LOL - there's always one....!! Richard:clover:
  18. Agreed - pure genius matey!!! Have some rep for that my friend!! Richard:sorcerer:
  19. Hats off to you Daz - but at least you're home and warm now mate...... ......enjoy your dinner buddy you've deserved it I reckon!! Richard:sorcerer:
  20. LOve your second pic mate - the side on view...... .......but I have to say that the back end looks like a squashed Prius....:winkiss: Richard:sorcerer:
  21. Sorry to hear that you had to finally let it go mate..... .....don't be a stranger though; you're always welcome on the forums even without a ZX!! Richard:flowers:
  22. We have about 6-8 inches here in The Chilterns!!! I knew it was coming but I still ignored the forecast and drove the Merc to work this morning..... And as the snow fell, the more I felt it was a mistake!! But I left early and made it home safely; once I got out of Aylesbury the roads were not too good, but at least they were empty and I got to Great Missenden with no drama...... Until I tride to drive up the very steep, long hill into Prestwood. Not easy, in a 308bhp RWD auto - but with the TC off, 'box switched to manual plus some handy accelerator work and flappy paddle action, I made it - albeit mostly sideways!!! Merc is safely on the drive - and Julia will be home later with the Rav-4; so that will be our mode of transport for the next few days. LOL Richard:cool3:
  23. Makes sense - and welcome aboard Edwin!! If you'd like us to merge the two usernames, please give Jaikai a shout and he'll sort it for you mate, Richard:sorcerer:
  24. LOL, oo-er, no; that's really is not my bag baby.....:whistling:
  25. Seconded - it's good to see the return of your techie threads Jeff!! Richard:sorcerer:
