Top Gears Worlds Worst Car In History
For me it was a J-reg Ford Scorpio 2.0 twin cam that I had back in 1993. The damn thing was barely a year old and in the 3 months I had it, I must have driven it only a third of that time as it spent it's life in the Ford dealers having one thing after another fixed. And fixed again, and again and again!!! Whilst I know that modern Fords are much more reliable - and are pretty well built and drive well too by all accounts - I'd never have one as the Scorpio experience finished them off for me!! New owner just joined
Welcome to the club Rob....!! I'm not sure of any garages in East Anglia that are knowledgeable of the 300zx - but if you don't mind travelling then you cannot go wrong with Zedworld in Birmingham...... Richard:thumbup:

What is the best oil for my zed and filter
I reckon I agree Bri..... .....So on that basis; with your relatively low mileage, stick with Castrol Magnatec 10w40 (about £25 for 4.5 litres in Halfords). You need just short of 4 litres for a full change with filter on a twin turbo - oh and ALWAYS stick with the Nissan original oil filter and you won't go wrong! Richard:donatello:

My new car (sorry guys its german) lol
I agree....... ......enjoy your new car mate; and there's nothing wrong with going German!! I have a fast, lithe German mistress as a daily drive - and with the exception of the 300zx Z32, the NSX and now the R35 GTR I would always have something fast and interesting from Audi/BMW/Merc over anything Japanese TBH....!! hid time
Hi Stu, I can recommend this company: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/categories/hid-kits/hid-kits-by-bulb-type/h3 They're not the cheapest, but their customer service and warranty is good - I had a balast unit fail after about 15 months and they sent me a new one by return; no quible!! Plus they are UK based, which always helps!! As Yowser says, the HID fitment is the same for Uk or J-pec; the bulb seat pattern is H3 for both. And as for the colour/temperature, the higher the number the more blue (and less useful) the light is. 4300-5000k is whiter and more in-keeping with the modern OEM units in Mercs and BMWs; whereas 6000k is more on the blue side. It's all down to personal preference; but I have the 4300k kit which is a bright, crisp white light - I would not go above 5000k myself; but I believe a lot of folks are still happy with the 6000k.... RIP Quincy!
I agree..... .....and TBH I thought he had probably passed away some time ago - but I guess he was one of those guys who always looked old before their time (Leslie Neilsen, Steve Martin and Richard Wilson for example). Nonetheless, I always loved the show; so RIP Jack.... Richard:sad:

child tax credits
Hey Allan, I'd have thought you'd be eligible for something mate; I know a couple of people who get it and the main earners in their household are on around £28k and their partners each work part time and probably take around £10k.... ....I don't know what the limits are nowadays; but from my days as a tax manager in an accountancy practice, I do remember the forms were a bloody nightmare - like they were specifically designed to put people off of claiming! Give it a go mate - if you don;t ask you'll never get. Good luck! Richard:thumbup1:

wheres my ABS unit gone???
As Pete says, some NAs did not come with ABS..... ......easiest way of spotting it is whether or not you have an ABS light on the dash when you switch the ignition on! Richard:sorcerer:

Magnetic Oil Drain Plug - Recommendation.
I can't see any harm in it either - as long as the plug is not too long like Gary refers to in his quote from Andy...... Richard:chef:
