  1. Wow - that is just awesome!!! Great find Allan... Richard:bow:
  2. Hahahaha; brilliant!!! Richard:lol:
  3. Yup - I'm with you there Allan!! Richard:clap:
  4. Yup - probably that silver Subaru estate next to the ZX in one of the pictures..... ......and I cannot believe this car is up for sale AGAIN..??? Honestly, what it wrong with it as it has changed hands more times than a busy watch-mender of late? I saw this car at Voddy's place and it looked a tidy, original example.... Richard:huh:
  5. It sounds unlike Rob to do something like that mate - although he has not been online since 21 November. He does have a few friends on the forum so hopefully someone will let us know if there's anything wrong. I'll also flag this up to Groover - our TLO - who can try to contact him on your behalf if you still don't hear anything. Richard
  6. Congratulations on your new job my friend; I hope it works out well for you!! Richard:thumbup1:
  7. Good luck with your new car mate - but don't be a stranger; you'll still be welcome on here even if you drive a Scooby!! Thanks for that mate; I guess that's why many people stick around after selling up..... Richard:thumbup1:
  8. Happy birthday mate!! Richard:red_indian:
  9. Many happy returns mate! Richard:clap:
  10. My UK spec has heated mirrors also; they come on with the heated rear window. I think it may have been on the series 2 cars though.... Richard:thumbup1:
  11. Dead right - there are good UK sources; and there are possibly cheap UK sources (although cheap and 300zx don't actually go together)........ I can well believe that too Bri; Nissan is a mainstream manufacturer after all so there will certainly be parts commonly sourced from other cars in the range for the 300zx. It's perfect economic sense.... Although no doubt when you mention their flag-ship car, Nissan doubles the price!! Toyota did the same thing - I remember needing a headlamp beam unit for my old Mk3 Supra 10 years back. I went to the local main dealers and the old fella in the parts department looked up the part number and quoted me well over a hundred pounds. However when he examined the old broken unit, he also noticed it was the exact same part as the Mk2 MR2 (obviously; same pop up headlamps), the Celica from 1990 and - best of all - the HiAce van!! The price dropped from £100+ for the Supra light in increments through the Celica and MR2, down to about £60 for the van lamp unit!! They were exactly the same part, but the part number differed by a digit or two - no doubt to differentiate between vehicles (and ultimately price); so one paid a premium for the Supra unit!! Rip-off.... Richard:shifty:
  12. Agreed - you know it makes sense.....:thumbup1:
  13. How heavily tuned is your car mate? If it's relatively stock, then I'd not bother with a second hand Brembo set-up as you don't know how hard a life it has had on the previous car. The stock 300zx brakes are actually very good when working properly; so I'd go for a caliper refurb (or buy newly refurbed parts on an exchange basis) with new OEM replacement Brembo front discs and pads from Ebay. Unless your ZX is heavily tuned or regularly used on a track, that's all the money you need spend to get brakes that function very well indeed. Richard:thumbup1:
  14. Great pics Allan - he sure has grown mate... And he looks such a happy little chap too, he's a real credit to you and Shell... Richard:thumbup1:
  15. LOL - me too......:euro: ....plus those hands could do with a bit of detailing as well if I'm honest....
  16. LOL - and I reckon I know some of the same ones matey.....:shifty:
  17. I have the heated seats - but I thought they'd be more common among series 2 UK-spec cars with leather.......! I'd say the OEM HID lights would be a cool factory fitted option to have.... Hell, the whole genuine 99-spec twin turbo (like Roobarb's) is a rare beasty I'd like to have!! Richard:thumbup1:
  18. Flippin' 'eck..... ....I'd have given up after all that time!! Top marks for your enthusiasm guys; I'd not have the patience to keep a car off the road for that long. Richard:thumbup1:
  19. All it needs it a bit of insulating tape and it will be just fine....... Richard:laugh:
  20. Ooh, nasty. Sorry to see that Anthony; hope Primrose is OK mate. Richard:sad:
  21. Whoops!! I guess the "garage" wasn't originally intended as a garage if it's listed...... Could you rent a garage nearby for your ZX in the mean time; and then some "accident" could befall upon your own garage, which would enable you to rebuild it to a more suitable size.....? Either way, good luck in your new home Andy; whereabouts have you moved to mate? Richard:thumbup1:
  22. Heh heh - very true!!! Richard:laugh:
  23. Thank you Dave; much appreciated mate! Richard:thumbup1:
  24. Me too.... .....and I'm pleased it's back out on the road where it should be mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
