  1. LOL - where's the fun in that....!! Richard:whistling:
  2. No mate - I missed that.....
  3. B@stards...... I cannot make it then, as I'll be on holiday. I worked off the dates originally published - even going as far as booking my holiday from Sunday 8th so I could make the Saturday of JAE once more. And then the organisers go and change it........:cursing: ....I arrived around 10-ish on the Saturday morning and drove straight in with no problems..... Richard:cool3:
  4. ...Yes, I know it was yesterday, but no-one else posted it.... .....and calm down dears, it's only an internet forum, but RIP Michael.... I loved the Deathwish movies!! Richard:sad:
  5. Hi Peter (that's right, isn't it mate...?) I sort of know Craig as he is fairly local to me, but I haven't spoken to him in a while. Like Gary says, when were you last in touch - we cannot give out contact info owing to data protection - but you can let our TLO (Groover) or any committee member know what is outstanding via our forum e-mail addresses. We cannot promise to fix any issues between two private individuals but we will help in any way that we are able. Richard:cool3:
  6. You're welcome mate.... .....here's a couple of my pics from 2012 to whet your appetite.... Richard:winkiss:
  7. Many happy returns mate!! Richard :happybday:
  8. Happy birthday Jonnny!! Richard:sorcerer:
  9. Voddy wil be on the case soon enough as JAE is our major event of the year...... .....But usually, we have one big plot as a club; and the camping is pretty much adjacent to where the cars are. If you take a look at a few of our JAE pics, you'll get the idea mate! Richard:cool3:
  10. Great news mate...... ....and yes, it is a pretty big job. However, if you only have an advisory, why not buy yourself some time...... If you can get to the rear brake pipes, then a quick rub down with some emery cloth and a coat of Hammerite or underseal might make then last (or go un-noticed) for another couple of years!! Richard:cool3:
  11. Mental Micra - and fun to boot...... Yup - I remember the little Charade GTti too; wasn't it the first ordinary production car to acheive the magic 100bhp/litre...?
  12. Sounds interesting mate - any more details....?
  13. Nice work Lee - it looks good mate!! Richard:sorcerer:
  14. Very true mate!! I should also have added that I squeeze all that in the boot and the luggage blind still fits over - as you say, it's easy to cram bits in around a big item!! Richard:winkiss:
  15. Good find Allan - and if the work is all done to such a high standard someone is going to get a bargain if it sells at £2000 with no reserve!! Richard:cool3:
  16. Welcome back Dave...... ....no idea where your old car is though mate!! Richard:cool3:
  17. I can get one big suitcase in the boot of my LWB - and if we are going on a week's holiday I squeeze a slightly smaller suitcase, upright, in the rear footwell behind the driver's seat!! Not to mention my SLR camera bag, our walking boots in another bag, plus a couple of jackets - all in the boot with the big suitcase and without folding the seats down!! Richard:cool3:
  18. Hello mate - and welcome to the club!! The rear seats do fold down easily on the 2+2..... The boot is big and square; albeit very shallow - think about 9-10 inches at the rear but rising with the angle of the tailgate towards the front of the car. Richard:cool3:
  19. You're welcome John - and now I know about the rest of your suspension work, I'd definitely buy the Nissan ones from MJP. Zcentre is good; but expensive, Mike's always the best bet for anything OEM!! Richard:cool3:
  20. I like it; a lot of work has clearly gone into that!!! And I too agree with the comments about needing more suitable wheels - chromed, whitewalls etc definitely the way to finish it off. Richard:sorcerer:
  21. Hi John, If you are only replacing the fronts - then OEM is the way to go assuming your car is standard. Personally I would not have mis-matched shocks from front to rear as the different dampening ratings would upset the handling of the car. If you're going to replace all 4, then I'd go with the Tokicos from MJP - Mike knows his stuff and would not sell anything unsuited to the 300zx. Although at over £430 - and bear in mind you need to consider the condition of your springs as they too are most likely past their best - it's not going to be much more expensive to upgrade the lot to Meister Rs!! But for a cheaper fix - it has to be OEM; again give Mike at MJP a call..... As a comparison, JeffTT charges around £400 plus VAT to supply and fit the stock fronts.... Richard:cool3:
  22. After a dry day yesterday, it's coming down again here in The Chilterns...... .......Should be an interesting walk to the pub at lunchtime - and an even more interesting one back after a drink or two!! Richard:winkiss:
