  1. Seeing as the weather is utter pants here today, I did a couple of bits to the Zed, which could be undertaken in the dryness of the garage.... First thing - I finally got round to replacing my washer motors, with the brand new ones I bought from Amayama a while back. Even in the confines of the garage, it wasn't too tricky, and now I don't have a puddle of washer fluid on the garage floor after topping up ๐Ÿ™‚ Second thing - I fitted some new intake hoses. My OEM ones were looking a little frayed and brittle around the jubilee clips, so I thought I'd give these a try. I went for blue silicone, to match the new coolant hose I had fitted a few years back ๐Ÿ˜‰
  2. We probably won't - it's barely 45 mins up the M40 for us, so we'll drive up on Sunday morning.
  3. A belated Happy Birthday Andy - hope you had a great day mate!! The Zed is looking awesome too, hope to catch up with you this year.... It's been quite a while ๐Ÿ˜‰
  4. Great news Aff..... Julia asked if Susan is coming too - she doesn't want to be the only girly there LOL...... ๐Ÿ˜‰
  5. Nice one Rob....!
  6. Unbelievable mate - I certainly hope it was not one of our group..... ๐Ÿ˜ž
  7. A belated happy birthday Andrew - hope you had a great day!! Richard & Julia๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. Hey folks, With the 2024 season testing underway - and Lewis Hamilton having switched to Ferrari - it could be an interesting season... Hence I thought about resurrecting the old F1 competition. This is the first complete thread on the old competition I could find - JaiKai might be able to assist with digging up the old rule book, if not, I'll try and recreate it LOL But if we can get a few members involved, it's just a bit of fun - and we'll still have a small prize at the end. Winner takes all, a Halfords GV up for grabs - the value to be determined by the number of participants..... What do you say..... Interested?
  9. Many happy returns Adam - have a great day mate!!
  10. Thanks Tom! I have voted for either the BMM Gaydon (again) or the Imperial War Museum, Duxford.... And any of the dates is fine with me - so far ๐Ÿ˜‰
  11. There is Steve - AndrewG found some made by Trico in the USA and imported a couple.... But you're dead right though mate - why on earth would they not use a generic washer pump on all their cars? They all do the same thing???
  12. Hi and welcome to the club Dan.....!
  13. A sad loss indeed - I fondly remember listening to his afternoon show. And only 69 years old too..... ๐Ÿ˜ž RIP sir!
  14. Thank you for the birthday wished folks.....! Just got back from t'pub.... ๐Ÿ™‚ Feeling rather content after a nice grilled salmon washed down with a bottle of Laurent Perrier โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿฅ‚
  15. Many happy returns Jim - hope you had a great day mate!!
  16. Indeed - and Amayama is a great place to buy from, for all those unfamiliar with them. Excellent service, and the postage is quite reasonable too.... Genuine Japanese Car Part Imports - Amayama It was Sir Jimmer who put me on to them.... ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. Many happy returns mate - hope you have a great day!!
  18. Many happy returns Alex - hope you have a great day mate!! Richard๐Ÿง๐Ÿบ
  19. I have a pair of brand spanking new OEM windscreen washer pumps - they are NLA according to Z1 and CZP in America.....!! But I managed to find them from Amayama in Japan.... ยฃ67 delivered ๐Ÿคฉ I wanted to replace both the front and rear washer pumps, but didn't realise they have slightly different wiring connectors. I could have cut and spliced the cables, but Amayama also stock the rear one - it's arriving Tuesday.....๐Ÿ˜Ž I may consider selling the spare front one, if anyone is interested - I say "may" as for the price, I might decide to keep it in my spare Z-parts stash, just in case ๐Ÿ˜‰
  20. LOL - yeah, but the intention was there ๐Ÿ˜„
  21. Thanks Aff - I have passed on your good wishes mate..... Look forward to catching up with you and Susan too!!
  22. On Monday my local garage MOT'd my Zed, replaced the front brake discs and pads, plus an oil service - so with a fresh Nissan filter and a sump filled with Shell's finest, my Zed is all ready for the New Year...... .......So as today is Julia's birthday - and the sun was shining - we took the Zed on a little trip to Waterperry, near Oxford. It was nice to blow the cobwebs out on the M40 there - and ease in the new brakes on the country lanes, on the way home ๐Ÿ™‚
  23. Today, I renewed my road tax and took the Zed on a little trip to Waterperry - near Oxford.....
