  1. LOL - it's a very big detour for anyone from the South East Steve!! South Central maybe; but anyone in the SE or Thames Valley would just head north from the off...... Might I suggest a two-stage convoy - how about you SW/SC guys meet at Chievley and then you meet the SE guys at either Oxford or Warwick services a bit later:thumbup: I would otherwise have been up for this; however I have agreed to pick up a certain committee chum from that airport at Brum, so his arrival time dictates when I'll be heading up the M40:wink:
  2. That is good news indeed Ian...... All the best to the old fella for a speedy recovery:wink:
  3. Hope so Dave - as I am looking forward to meeting you there mate....
  4. That's it, in a nut-shell! "Off" is everything off; and "Econ" is having the blowers working on auto, but without the actual AC being on - leaving "Auto" for the full AC experience, providing the "Econ" light is NOT illuminated, you will be running with AC.
  5. Exactly - driving, like many other daily facts of life, can [sadly] be stressful enough sometimes. It's best to sit back and accept that what will be will be TBH; otherwise you'll just eat yourself up inside for no reason!! And as much as it goes against the grain for me sometimes - I reckon Gaz has a point there. Rise above the cretins - wherever or whoever they might be; you'll live longer for it I reckon...
  6. Yup - not to mention lower and meaner..... ......Nissan gave the 300zx a moustache for a reason Si; you know you want to revert to the [more] stock look...
  7. Oh yes - I can't believe what an improvement it is over the last one....... And whilst it might "probably" be the best car I have owned to date, it is an inescapable fact that a certain 20 year old blue Nissan is still capable of giving it a run for its money:wink: Hence we took the ZX out for a blast through The Chilterns to Claydon House today:biggrin:
  8. Looks a great show indeed - thanks for sharing the photos folks.... Richard:thumbup:
  9. Amen brother - and here endeth the lesson....
  10. Dead right Ian.... We all make mistakes sometimes; there's no need for the attitude!! And worse than that, is when you haven't done anything (even though you were thinking about it) and someone has a go at you for what they did wrong.... Like last Saturday as I left Cornwall. I joined the A30 behind a Mini on the slip-road - and with there being a slow lorry in front and nothing on either carriageway behind, I pulled into lane 2 to pass both vehicles. The Mini driver, after a slight hesitation, pulled in front of me to pass the lorry - I just slowed down to let her, and then passed her when she pulled back into lane 1..... I didn't hoot, flash, tailgate or anything - but she felt the need to flash at me and make a very visible hand gesture, all the same.... Hey ho. It's tough out there folks - don't let it get to you.....:flowers:
  11. A few people have had the Japspeed one - and not said anything bad about them..... If that's what you're after, check out Ebay as they often come up on there too. My personal preference in the Mongoose; it has the quad-pipe look in line with OEM; plus it makes a throaty bellow, without being too loud and intrusive:wink:
  12. Like it Al.....
  13. I have to agree with that statement - many cyclists (and a few motorists) should read / re-read the highway code once on a while.... But I do believe that every road user should have to obey the rules all the same; cyclists should not jump a red light anymore than a motorist should. And whilst on the subject, I also believe that everyone using the road other than on foot (be it in a car, on a motorcycle, a pushbike or horse) should be legally obliged to carry third party insurance!! We must have insurance to drive a car or ride a motorbike - but what of the cyclist who runs someone down on a zebra-crossing when whizzing past all the cars which have stopped? Or the cyclist who jumps a red light, gets hit by a car and causes damage to that car? Cyclists should have insurance to cover any damage or injury THEY cause; that might force the selfish few to reconsider their actions....:nono:
  14. Glad you are home Mandy; and all the best for a speedy recovery...:flowers:
  15. Looking good Si.... I drove mine yesterday for the first time since buying the new Merc 3 weeks ago - and I'm pleased to say it's still great... I left it in the garage today; but as it's set to be a nice day tomorrow, the ZX is coming on a day out somewhere...

  20. Not that I wish to speak for anyone else - but I think you'll also have to rule out Ian (300zx-666) owing to his recent admission to hospital..... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?177285-Long-Night Richard:sad:
