A new car to the UK, and a first time Z owner.
Hi and welcome Steve....

To shave or not to shave...?
Whilst the SWB can easily carry off the de-spoilered look, I personally think a TT still looks better with one...... .....Albeit on the SWB, the OEM '89 spec is best; the '99-spec not quite so:cool:

Happy Mothers day!
LOL - but yes!! I made the effort to visit my mum yesterday.... In the Zed, of course... But nonetheless it was a nice surprise for her when Julia and I arrived. Bearing gifts of perfume, a lovingly made floral arrangement (thanks to Julia) and a bottle of something sparkling. Richard:cool:

thank you and good bye
Yup - what they said..... .....Don't be a stranger because of one minor issue mate! It's the scourge of the internet and, sadly, we are not immune to it here either. Take a deep breath and move on I say; we all want you to stay, Rolandas! Richard:flowers:

EU: Leave or Remain
I am in the "leave" camp..... .....And without jumping on one band wagon or another, my reasons are simple. We vote for our own politicians and government - and whether or not you support whichever government we have, the fact remains they won an election fair and square. And they can be voted out again in 5 years, by us, the British people. So why should we have laws, whatever they may be, forced upon us by an authority unelected by the British people? The EU is fine for trade and nothing else. However as a leading global economy, we should be looking at selling to the rest of the world outside the EU. Apart from Germany, Scandinavia and (possibly) France, the rest of Europe is teetering on the edge of he U-bend. They have no money, so cannot buy from fact we are expected to help bail them out!! So economically, we'd be better off - in fact I reckon we'd thrive and our recovery would accelerate if we pulled out of the EU. Each country in the EU is different. Different cultures, attitudes etc. So trying to get all together in a "United States" type union just will not work - we all want to maintain our independence; with some countries actually wanting to call all the shots themselves. Again, nothing would ever get done; there are meetings, summits, and whatever else politicians want to call it. Yet still nothing beneficial to the people ever gets decided, as they all want for different things. No, we're better off alone; with our own currencies, monetary and tax policies, the right to decide on our own laws and destiny.

Get well soon chunk

What did you do to your zed today?
Collected mine from the garage this afternoon - with a new MOT (no advisories - and a glowing bill of health from the technicians); a fresh sump full of Castrol's 5w40 fully synth; a brand new Nissan oil filter; some new NGK plugs and fresh coolant....... All ready for another year's zedding....

What did you do to your zed today?
I did this yesterday afternoon - and decided to try yet another wax.....! I have been using a couple of Valet Pro products lately; and after being thoroughly impressed with their Beading Marvelous Wax, I bought some of their "Classic Gloss Protection" wax. It was in the sale at one of the online suppliers I use. What a result - again I am impressed!! It goes on easily, although you have to stick with a single panel at a time, or else it gets a bit harder to buff off. But it leaves a nice wet-look finish and is very smooth to the touch. Lovely - and all for £12.......

Top Gear Delay
Agreed....... ....And definitely agreed! The "old, old" Top Gear was ruined by the ever-increasing number of presenters - which is why it worked with just Clarkson, Hammond and May. I am not simply lamenting their departure - and will happily give Chris Evans a chance - but the Beeb should have stuck with no more than 3 presenters and The Stig....

What did you do to your zed today?
Just had 4 new tyres fitted - which was interesting, watching the guys carefully squeezing the jack under the car, in order to lift it by the chassis.... .......And now I'm going to give it a wash. 3 weeks of daily use has left it a little dirty:wink:

What did you do to your zed today?
Just to my local village garage mate.... They're happy to do a simple oil/filter/plugs/coolant change; plus MOT and general check-over - but they will also tell me if they can't do any other specialist repair works. I'm fine with that, as there's always Jimmer and co, if anything major needs doing...... Which, touch wood, hasn't happened for a while...:clover:

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
I like those very much Si......:thumbup:

What did you do to your zed today?
LOL - yes..... I drove it. In fact, I couldn't be arsed to swap the cars around on drive/in garage a couple of weeks back. Hence I have used the Zed daily for the past 3 weeks come tomorrow - and I have to say, it has just got better and better the more I have driven it.... It will be back to normal on Monday though; the Zed is booked in for a service and MOT. So I'll drop it off in the morning, nip home and pull the daily hack back out of the garage; and resume non-Zed commuting once more.

What coolant expansion tank?
Daft question (maybe) from me - but why would the wheel be rubbing against it.....? How far have you lowered the car mate....?
