  1. Yup - good info indeed. And with the older "blue" type antifreeze, it's also good to drain and refill every two years.... .....I had mine flushed in August, when I had the radiator and main hoses replaced.
  2. Interesting point there Ken.... And one which we regularly ponder over! However the dilemma we always come back to, is the direction of traffic. IE do we use the FB page to direct 300zx owners and enthusiasts to the forum (and of course the club); or do we ramp up the FB page to a group and then risk diverting even more members away from the forum onto FB...?
  3. Looking very good there mate - what a transformation.....
  4. Thank you Mark - and a Merry Christmas to you too....:santa:
  5. Nice one Ali - and thank you for your continued support:thumbup: Merry Christmas mate...:santa:
  6. The Club Committee and Moderation Team would like to thank the membership for your support during 2016, and we wish you ALL and your families a Very Merry Christmas, and all the best for 2017. :cool3::santa:
  7. LOL.....
  8. Yup - we have the same thing on the Landrover....
  9. Happy birthday for Monday mate! Hope you had a great day... Richard:cool:
  10. Groover is your man for LED dash conversions mate.... As for the scratched facia panel, you could try polishing it with a mild cutting compound. I'd recommend Autoglym Paint Renovator - it will gently remove light scratches on the plastic without causing a dull or opaque finish. Toothpaste would also do a reasonable job - then finish with super resin polish. This worked a treat on plastic lamp lenses.
  11. Hi all, As you know, we do review requests from banned members to have their ban revoked after a set time has passed. Gonzo12c recently applied to have his ban reviewed and the committee has agreed to allow Martin's return to the forum. If anyone has any objections or wishes to comment (in strict confidence) please drop me a PM. Otherwise we look forward to welcoming Martin back into the club. Richard
  12. Fast classic Fords are definitely on the up right now..... ......Even the old 1980s XR3s and RS Turbos are fetching better money than they went for new. And if you want a tidy final edition Capri 280 in Brooklands Green, be prepared to shell out some serious £££s. There are plenty of folks, in their mid-40s like me, who suddenly develop a mid-life crisis and decide to relive their youth. Hence start looking nostalgically at the hot cars from that era, that they could never have afforded back then. But can now! However since most of those cars have either rusted away - or were driven into trees back in the day - there are fewer left to chose from. And many of those that remain, are the enthusiast-owned, pristine examples; and so command a premium price tag. Supply and demand, basically - and the same will happen with 1990s Japanese super-coupes in the not too distant future as well....
  13. Today I gave my Zed a good clean and then parked it back in the garage...... .....I have driven around 600 miles in it over the last couple of weeks, so it was looking pretty filthy. Still, it's back to its shiny blue self once more - and will be under its cover in a couple of days. I thought I'd let it dry our properly first...
  14. LOL....... But yes, they do look a little sad being tucked away.... Sunday before last, I took mine for a blast down the M4 to visit the Bath Christmas Market. And I have been using it the on the odd day I have ventured out since - why not; be rude not to!! But Si is right; the poor Zed is looking damn dirty now - so I will have to give it a good clean on Saturday I reckon:wink:
  15. Easily done mate - and thanks for adding me....
  16. I could be up for this also..... .....But I have edited the thread title; it's the 25th June mate...
  17. Yup - what he said....
  18. Same here, if I'm honest...... ......And whilst you might actually get it to look good (I said "might"), you'd be spending an absolute fortune, for no real purpose or gain! Save the money - or spend it on something that will be of a real benefit:cool:
  19. Gosh - can't believe I missed this one as well.... Many happy returns for the 10th Steve; hope you had a great day mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  20. Happy birthday for the 9th, Chris - and sorry I missed it mate; hope you had a great day!! Richard:cool:
