Opinions on the MeisterR coilover kits
I have Meister R coilovers fitted - have done for some years now - and I have to say, they were one of the best upgrades I did to my Zed. I have them set more towards the softer setting; the car corners flat-ish, but remains reasonably compliant too. Nice balance between GT car and sports car; plus the 25mm or so drop improves the stance. All in all, great value - although Si is bang on regarding finish - but a quality product nonetheless. I'd certainly recommend Meister R coilovers…

Where can i buy some shocker top mounts?

Silverstone Auctions NEC Classic Motor Show
Nice find Gary - I shall look out for that on the Silverstone stand... Note the cheap tyres on the rear though!! Although I guess they're fine considering the amount of use the car has since had - I would still expect premium brand rubber on such a powerful machine.....

Mmm... and it looked so good at first
Eeek - goes to show what a potential minefield it is for prospective buyers nowadays.... Also, rare to see a UK car in that colour; I didn't think that was available here?? Agreed!! Which is why I have been extremely patient with Darren doing mine up at Dasstech. He may not be the fastest - and his forecasted completion dates might be (ahem) optimistic - but looking at the photos he has sent me over the restoration period, I can see he's done a top job....!!

HIDS no longer allowed
Whilst we are all fully aware of the law changes - and are mindful of the delayed start-up of HID headlights, these cars are pretty much off the radar to most people. Garages included.... …...So I'd personally take the chance - I mean, would the tester ever know the HIDs were actually aftermarket? We have projector lenses, just like modern cars with HIDs, so might just get away with it!! What's the worst that can happen - we get a fail and have to switch back to H3 (H3C for imports)… But if it does get overlooked, hell, that's a few less scratched hands attempting to change bulbs for just a day...:wink:
