  1. Yes, yes and yes.....
  2. Today, nothing as I was at work.... …..But I did not get online yesterday, as I was giving the Zed some more attention. I gave it a coat or two of Beading Marvellous Carnauba Wax, polished the tail pipes, installed the USB socket extension cable to the stereo and started refurbing the double-DIN radio surround. I made the mistake of spraying it gloss black - not a great look TBH, so I'll be sanding it back and respraying it in satin black by next weekend...
  3. Happy birthday Graham! Richard:happybday:
  4. Let's have a Christmas song this evening....
  5. I have had an issue with my ABS light for a while now - IE after driving for (say) 80 miles, the light comes on; and then stays on until I switch off the engine and restart again.... Luckily it stayed off during the recent MOT.... …..I had forgotten about it, as the Zed was away for a year. However, it's back now - and I have also noticed a weird "groaning" sound from the ABS module in the boot. Probably because I drove the Zed 150 miles home with no radio.... Darren at Dasstech did mention there's probably a fault within the ABS module; and I have acquired a replacement from Banzai Breakers for £40. So, has anyone else encountered this problem - and does anyone have any advice on how easy it is to replace the module....?
  6. Wow - that was one hell of a whack……!!! Definitely glad to see you walked away mate.....:clover:
  7. I'd pay the man Pete - can't be too careful about these things....:biggrin:
  8. Thanks Gary - serious times make for serious thoughts. Whatever people think of Theresa May, she remains the country's best hope at the moment. Let her do her job, get the UK through a rough transition, and then cast your vote at the appropriate time. Let's be honest, there's not a single one of us here, who could do that job remotely as well right now - if there were, they'd be there doing it. It's not the X-Factor FFS, it's real life - it's serious - leave running the country to those who can. Let them get the job finished and pop your "x" on the appropriate piece of paper when the time is right.....
  9. Hello and welcome to the club Phil - and good luck in your search for a Zed...:clover:
  10. So do I.... ….Whether or not you voted for Brexit (and remember Theresa May herself voted remain), the fact is, the majority voted leave. It would be futile for any government or leader to renege on that - and Theresa may has put her own personal view aside, to honour the will of the people. That's what she was elected to do - therefore she must be permitted to deliver Brexit. Besides, the last thing this country needs right now is another general election, further instability, or heaven forbid, that idiot Corbyn in Downing Street. At the very least, people should get behind Theresa May to prevent Corbyn getting in via the back door - if he does, we'd all be better off emigrating for sure.....
  11. Hi and welcome to the club Edwin! Richard:thumbup:
  12. Not too bad here either..... Although still not quite 21 degrees..... Safe journey Jeff - enjoy your stay in the mother-country mate.....:clover: Richard:cool:
  13. Many happy returns old chap - hope you have a great day mate!! Richard:happybday:
  14. Not so bad inside there Russ.... Mine was worse, going by the pictures Darren sent me - I must get a journal going.... …….But good luck with the repairs mate...:clover:
  15. Cheers Gary - the rest isn't too shabby either.....
  16. Does anyone have a series two heater control pod please.....? The lettering on mine is starting to fade, so I'd like to replace it....! The series two control unit, is the one with directional fan settings - and no ambient temperature display.... And it must be in good condition please... Thanks, Richard
  17. Seconded...…
  18. Yup - push-button is standard on UK spec cars..... ….Certainly is; nice one Pete.....
  19. I met Graham in September when I was on The Island - he was busy with work and re-fitting his own house - but certainly remembered your parts Danny. I am surprised he hasn't come good, to be honest - he was also going to try and get over for the NEC show - but sadly has done neither... I'll give him a ring tomorrow..... Richard:clover:
  20. I took my freshly cleaned Zed out of the garage and gave it a nice coat of Chemical Guys Jetseal - the first of many now Zeddy is home..... And just got it back in the garage before the rain started....
  21. Very nice Gary - I'd say that was a decent price.....
  22. My starter for this evening.....
  23. Nice - always secretly liked the Capri; despite being a GM man (hence owned a Manta) in my teens... Such a car would be worth a pretty penny today though; fast Fords are good news in the modern classic department....
