  1. Seconded - welcome Dave.....! …….And good to see you back with those gems of good advice Jeff....
  2. A belated happy birthday Mark - hope you had a good one!! Richard:thumbup:
  3. Many happy returns Tom - have a good one mate.... :happybday: Richard:cool:
  4. Many happy returns Jay - have a good one mate.... :happybday: Richard:cool:
  5. I bought mine from Mike Feeney - IIRC they were about £75. I did collect them from his old place, so it must have been at least 3 years ago!
  6. Still my thoughts, certainly for my own blue Zed - but it's your car Lee; and the Bayside blue is lighter than my TK3, so it will probably look just fine with black roof bars mate...
  7. Yup - I pretty much agree.... …...And how about this! http://stonecoldclassics.com/1971-datsun-240z/
  8. Congratulations mate - both on the birth of your daughter and moving back to Blighty....
  9. Yup - seconded!!
  10. …..I have clumsy sausage fingers, so it would probably have taken me longer. Not to mention the cut hands... That - and Darren took it for its MOT, as he's had the Zed for over a year...
  11. My thoughts too.... I was going to have mine done in black - but seeing AndrewG's car at the NEC, next to Gary's and Joel's, made me think that mine also look good left blue....
  12. Personally mate, I would not bother. Put it through the MOT with HIDs still fitted; most garages don't even know what a 300zx is now - let alone whether those HIDs were an OEM fitment or not.... For the record, mine passed an MOT on Friday complete with HIDs still in situ... Oh, and aftermarket LED upgrades are supposedly as illegal as aftermarket HIDs!!
  13. LOL - but yes.....
  14. And if I have just made that up, please do forgive me.... Getting senile in my old age...
  15. When you say braking - do you mean a slow, smooth gradual glide to a halt; or a more swift slow-to-stop in the last few metres? I may have dreamed this, but I vaguely remember that failed PCV valves can be the cause in the latter circumstances.... Oil from the top of the engine can get into the throttle bodies during (ahem) enthusiastic braking; thus temporarily messing with the air-fuel mixture.
  16. Excellent video Joel - thanks for sharing mate!! And it was indeed an awesome show we put on this year. A big thanks to everyone involved..

That's what I was thinking.... …..Although sadly I probably won't be able to participate in this excellent weekend next year. Julia and I have pretty much booked our holiday days with work for 2019; so unless we're utilising the bank holiday weekends, then I guess I'm out.....! Hence I voted for 23rd August - albeit we'd only be able to head up on Saturday 24th.
  18. Hello and welcome Nav.....
  19. This was our best stand ever - and IanL deserves a very big thank you for his part in making it happen..... Thanks Ian; great work mate, you did us proud!!! And so too did Andrew, Gary, Joel and Lee by offering their cars for the duration - thank you too guys; we could not have pulled it off without you!!! The show was a real success for sure - ours was definitely the best stand in hall 5, and that thought was shared by the 3000GTO lads. I was certainly proud to have done my little bit to help - even though I bailed out early Sunday afternoon... Nice work everyone - we stood once again on the world stage, with our heads held high!! Here's to 2019 and a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Z32 and the 20th anniversary of our club:thumbup:
  20. PMSL…. Thing is, (sadly) some idiot will buy it...…..
  21. Sad news indeed; RIP Stan Lee....
  22. LOL - but yes, done:wink:
  23. Lest we forget indeed - thank you for posting Gary! And in honour of the fallen, the NEC Classic Motor Show will also stage a two minute silence at 11 tomorrow.
  24. Good luck with the repair Russ....:clover:
