anyone confirm this
You mean "unorthodox" pullies mate? if so they go OUTSIDE the cam covers at the bottom. Your pic shows the cam/exhaust sprockets behind the covers and even remanufactured/aftermarket ones usually have Nissan stamped on them, unless you paid mega money for some Jap branded ones. This is unorthodox pullies http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=4365&Car_Type=300&UID=2012061300310387.254.95.140 smithy

Question
Possibly but would have been 10 times easier and cheaper to retro fit the washers tbh, guess we'll never know without asking! smithy

Question
UK spec indicators and side lights in the front, corners were usually dummies. jap spec indicators on the side/corner and fogs in the front. PS Spec savers open at 9am lol smithy

Question
Indicators differ between jap and UK spec mate. Plus this one has fogs. smithy

Engine not firing
Plug teh stock ECU back in again, do an ECU diagnostic and diregard the code for the MAF, any remaining codes should hopefully point you in the right direction. Fix that then plug yer AEM back in again! smithy

Indigo sills wiring diagram?
Yup that was how all the kits were designed for. I can't recall what wires etc either, but with only a couple it ain't too hard to work out tbh smithy

Best value holiday in the sun
Just came back from 7 days in sunny Salou, great place especially for kids and not bad price either. Stayed at the H10-Med village in Cap Salou, fantastic and couldn't fault it one bit tbh smithy

Anyone running a Selin twin-MAF setup?
You are correct, MAFS limiting factors are based on volumetric internal size and the hot wire within. The Q45 allowed more air to be measured than the Z32 one. The Selin kit though which has only been out a few years now, is a better upgrade than the Q45 MAF. Smithy

NISSAN Skyline R34 GTT calipers
Only a bit mate, 310mm compared to our 296mm. However calipers as far as i know are pretty much the same, as in not Brembo calipers. If the set up was free or very very cheap then worth the time swapping over, if mot then i wouldn't waste me time tbh. smithy

Should I have expected more from a specialist garage??
Teas still in the micro lol Your missing the point mate, professional or not had you very first email been different, then your reply would have been different and thus set the tone for all future communication. How can you call it unprofessional after what you sent them.... I always look at the very 1st point cos it nearly always paves the way ahead, sozz Oopps got a bing, gotta go smithy

Should I have expected more from a specialist garage??
Dam forgot i can't edit, you asked for an explanantion which at the end of the day you got mate, just not quite in the way you wanted it... smithy

Should I have expected more from a specialist garage??
Lol just going of for me tea now, but for sure if someone sent me a picture and simply said nothing else in that email other than "Hi can you explain please" They would have got an even bigger sarcastic responce than what you got tbh mate. Just like bleedin divorces, the very first official point of correspondence sets the course out there after, sadly! smithy

Should I have expected more from a specialist garage??
Geez! Like many things in life it's what's at the begining which often causes the problem, have you a copy of the email that you first sent them titled " Very disappointed" I couldn't see it above, but others are? ta smithy

Headlights that would be compatible with a 300zx
About 10 years ago there was a guy at Billing with a pretty sweet looking Zed and 1 of the unusual mods he'd done was fitting Peugeot headlights. HID's though as said work a treat and cheap as chips now days too. Smithy

Guess what .......................Engine out again
hmmm he means a supra engine mate!! smithy

Guess what .......................Engine out again
Injectors, fuel rail and lower plenum were changed. It was noticed the No.6 piston did not get quite as much fuel as the others. Nothing drastic that would effect a standard Zed, but once tuning running richer than norm would help compensate it. N/A oil squirters direct the oil in a different direction to TT ones, given the design of forged piston tops, TT squirters do not direct the oil where needed the most. Again not a die hard thing you must do, but considering cost of parts and prolonging pistons and their performance, it is an ideal thing to do. JD chips run richer than most when on boost to protect going lean and of course a custom map could be done to be even more accurate, knowing your intake charge temps is a massive bonus when using higher boost though and no using stock coolers with bigger tubs and injectors! smithy

Guess what .......................Engine out again
Looks a bit better than mine did when it let go lol sadly nearly all pics of a fecked piston on here are from No.6, obviously on pre 94's. Decent performing coolers keeping the intake charge temps down, good mapping or chip (such as JD) that runs a little richer when on boost will help prevent this kinda thing. Bare that in mind when you do the rebuild and add N/A oil squirters too with using forged pistons and jobs a goodun. Sadly a reflection of a 20 year old plus piston suffering on higher boost and not enough fuel. smithy

queery about nissan fairlady
Fairlady is the term given to the jap imports. Come in all the usual colours and Japan carried on making the Zed till year 2000-ish smithy
-
Guess what .......................Engine out again
They are indeed a decent pump and seldom without issue too, IMO anyone with an engine stripped down would be nuts not to replace a 20 year old oil pump considering the cost of an OEM item and the potential cost of repairs, should it either fail or not work effectively. Both of which you only find out when it's too late! Smithy

Guess what .......................Engine out again
When i blew no.6 piston ( the usual most obvious one!) oil pissed out of both exhausts and was in all pipes all over the gaff. Stock pistons are 87mm however as every block should have a de hone of the bores, you fit 87.5mm also being the smallest you can normally get in forged from wiseco and the likes. smithy

what kind of prices
Just look in the for sale section for prices as an average. But not a lot tbh, soooo many for sale means no high prices. smithy

GTR Brembo Brake Upgrade

Potential clutch failure?
Was that by looking at the reservoir and seeing it's level from the outside or actually removing the lid?. Often is the case by looking at the outside you see a fluid stain rather than the actual level. smithy
