  1. I know one thing, i caught a real deep pothole the other day and was surprised the wheel wasn't damaged, think i'll be jacking the car up now and double checking the inside of the tyre, just in case! smithy
  2. Think a picture may be of most use mate, someone may know it and the owner. smithy
  3. The shocks he says are simply KYB adjustables, basic and very common shock for zeds. It may well now be the offsett is a problem caused tho by lowering the car, he can hardly change the offsett now to bring the wheels in now tho eh? Even adjustable arms at couple hundred bucks and fitting, "may" give him enough room, but at the cost of tyres wearing more quickly and unevenely? and not cheap tyres either.... Smithy
  4. There were no issues reported before lowering the car, since lowering the car now there is. offsett clearly had them towards the edge of the arch to begin with, but he can't change that aspect now. Easiest solution is to put the stock height back, other than that some arch rolling and manipulating of the liner to suit the arch rolling by pulling upwards and outwards a couple of mm. smithy
  5. That's cos the Eibachs lower the ride by about 25mm mate, swap them out for a new set of standard springs and you'll be good. No matter what setting you put on the KYB's, it will not cure the problem as that only changes the stiffness. Smithy
  6. Your post is a bit muddled mate, You know a Mongoose system is 2.5in and the vast majorty of UK supplied Decatts and Elbows are all 2.5in too? In anycase fitting a pair of 3in exhaust elbows is no easy task at all and certainly unless someone else has started making them, they would possibly be for a left hooker, making 1 side very difficult to do. Smithy
  7. There isn't any more rides is there mate and you not in the garage... smithy
  8. Stock is actually TB22, however no longer available so yes T25 fits straight on. Easiest way is simply by a reconned one and you send your old one back in exchange. However as your in the Midlands, pop into Zedworld to have it confirmed that is what you need and if they can determine cause of failure. It's not a simple job to replace! smithy
  9. Yes mate i sent him a text for yer before anyways, due to a wee personal medical crisis today, he and Lynda were not really available. Normal-ish services are expected to be resumed tomorrow though for anyone else who's dealing with Zedworld at the mo. cheers Smithy
  10. Buy this and get it fitted locally mate http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?154577-Japspeed-Nissan-300ZX-Turbo-Non-Turbo-Cat-Back-Exhaust-System-MEMBER-PRICE! Job done! Smithy
  11. importpartspro.com (kyle puckett) for me or CZP. Z1 "can" be very good, sadly for me that didn't happen often. smithy
  12. Do you know what rating your fuel pump is? cos the Zed fuel pump is pretty high see and you don't wanna be less unless it was advertsied to flow the same as the Zed one. smithy
  13. 1st thing i'd do mate is a quick 10 min ECU diagnostics and see what error codes you get as 1st part of your thread was like a knackered MAF. Smithy
  14. Feel for yer mate, got a guy local to me serious about a decent Zed, hardest part is cost of flying over, pre book a car on the return ferry just in case, then travel to the car and if no good, postpone ferry booking and buy last minute plane ticket home, serious waste of money and time. Here, autotrader or piston heads there just ain't as many as there used to be, between those 3 areas think i counted about 25 odd actual Zeds, yikes! Smithy
  15. Yes mate :-) and should you ever need a replacement disc, they are available for reasonable money and cheap to post from the US Smithy
  16. Lovely looking 99 Spec, so rare to see one crop up these days and not a bad price too! Wish there was more pics though. Anyone know if this is the one that was highlighted here a year or so ago? http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/300zx/nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-targa-automatic/1067747 Looking around, there really doesn't seem to be as many Zeds for sale as there were a few years back :cool3: Smithy
  17. Yep Jeff does clutches mate and the RPS i've had all their different versions at one time or another an dliked them all. Shipping shouldn't be that bad though, never was for me. smithy
  18. Right so you got a catt back system then, like most systems. That leaves your catt pipes and turbo pipes, if you don't decatt, absolutely no point in changing your turbo pipes. Also you will seriously struggle to get 3in in the UK, so you gotta decide, if keeping the catts, then thats it, if not then either import 3in de catt pipes (specialtyz) or fit the ones from the UK (2.5in) smithy
  19. Mate what you asking about front pipes for if you want to keep with your catt pipes, i assume you got a catt back system now? or was it just back boxes (rear section) cos if catt back all thats left is your catt pipes and stubbies to turbo. smithy
  20. If they wern't B (US) or C (UK) specs, you had N/A plugs mate smithy
  21. Damping ration has nowt to do with height mate, he's currently too low and needs to be a bit higher. Those determine the softness/hardness of the spring when going over bumps etc. Smithy
  22. Well done and good luck! I used to do the 350Z and GTR brackets many moons ago, think i've an unused GTR bracket lying around you can for free excluding postage, just the one but thats all you need to make a pair. If i find a 350z one i'll let you know. Smithy
  23. Oh just to add, you can get Spring adjusters for little money, never used them so dunno how good, but they can be fitted to open the gaps in your springs to raise the car up. smithy
  24. It's the springs that have lowered the ride mate, unless you have Eibachs that are stock height which is pretty unlikely as nearly all lower the car. Ask someone who has a pair of front GOOD condition stock springs and try them out, if you can't fit them yourself a garage can in an hour or so. Smithy
  25. Those connectors require the fitter to strip the existing wiring out of old connectors and refit and re pin into the new ones, ermmm sod that malarkey! Get just one wrong or not quite in and you back to square one, not to mention the time it takes to do it whilst bent over the engine. Nearly 35 quid for them, whereas new connectors with wiring already inserted so much easier to do and have fresh wires too, maximum 60 quid, I know which i prefer and some things that are cheaper, like in this case are for a reason :-) smithy
