  1. Yes i can imagine he did!! anyways Jeff's price is in this linkl from when you asked him mate :-) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?164536-lightened-flywheel-and-clutch-suppliers&highlight=jefftt smithy
  2. Assuming you mean Jim Wolf. yes been around for many many years doing parts for the Zed and with pretty good reputation. RPS, dunno where you heard the bad rep for them, if anything they are 1 of very few clutch companies who actually made/designed their clutches with the aid of a 300zx performance specialist in the US. I know they have sold literally 1000's for Nissan's and do applications for the seriously high horse power freaks. Jeff at Zedworld also does clutches now as supply only or supply and fit for an all in price. smithy
  3. If 1 side is very much warmer than the other you need a throttle body rebalance mate. smithy
  4. Appearance nothing, slightly smaller A/R and that's it, so the part number . smithy
  5. Lol no surprise there am a couple months behind!! Read in the paper this weekend about his will, or lack of it and brought it all back :-) Hey ho smithy
  6. Geez hasn't the actor who played Onslow just died this weekend? also known as Eddie yates :-) smithy
  7. Look under Petes avatar mate, it says Nottingham. smithy
  8. Yes it covers the area of the old OEM sponge spoiler, generally bonded on and in come cases blended into teh rest of the bodywork. Yes it hides the holes left by the old spoiler. smithy
  9. In that case then mate, the best advice i can give is to always try and take it to a garage when there's nothing wrong it! it's much easier lol So plan a night away from home, take the long trip up to Zedworld, service and setting up with check over. start some history with it. stay the night in a cheap B+B sample the Midlands and head home when cars ready, simples :-) smithy
  10. Just say why you need a garage as obviously there are some jobs which really are easy that any garage just couldn't get wrong, well shouldn't lol so wassuppp? smithy
  11. Buy a chip for 555 injectors, fit then sell your old chip. Buy an Electronic boost controller and have it set up correctly by someone who knows what they doing. When funds allow further down the line, have the car mapped for a specific map to suit your mods and available "safe" power Then sell your 555 chip. Smithy
  12. I think what Mark means is whether or not the previous owner fitted an aftermarket AFR gauge mate. Your chip for the injectors though is JWT, which obviously as you know is American and very generic. 15PSI as Mark says is the MAX i would run without knowing excatly what's inside the engine, especially piston wise anyways. smithy
  13. Dunno about a stamp, but genuine 99 specs are Urethane and copies likes car mads (which are very good btw) are fibreglass. Smithy
  14. Agree with the above, even if you do a quick fix to keep you happy for an hour or so down the road. It really isn't the most important of jobs unless it's actually constantly pissing out like a stream! Hope the garage don't do you a big bill for investigating mate. smithy
  15. For the sake of 10 mins mate, do yer ECU dianostic the ole fashioned way direct from the ECU turning the screw. If your still getting a clear 55 then that eliminates a number of things for you. smithy
  16. Sorry if it's obvious and already done, but what codes were you getting when doing the ECU diagnostic mate. Cos if one of the usual 3 things are in someway stopping it starting, their code will show. smithy
  17. GTR33's are straight fit over and yes work with existing handbrake etc. simply swap over so no extra work involved really. How much improvemnet i dunno, has anyone done it yet, yes over the years quite a few had. Often on the GTR forums for sale and sometimes ebay! hth smithy
  18. Mainly yes however in the end think there was about 6 different companies we approached for ideas and looked at with and without the PTU mountings. The original covers i had which were modified to be removed without taking top water pipe got binned in the end. Always worth looking tryinga gain, it's just a case of finding the right helpful company who don't need in excess of a couple hundred initial productions. smithy
  19. This was something i looked into in great detail to produce some years ago, the design we came up with to remove them without removing teh top water pipe was quite simple, we even looked at led lights for that optional bling effect for some! However moudling costs within the UK was sooooo bad it wa sadly shelved. But yes seeing as AMS had them produced they deffo should have altered the design slightly to enable easy removal. It was obviously cheaper to have a mould made of the existing covers and then copied. Oh you can buy these for other Jap cars in japan for a few years now, just never the Zed. smithy
  20. Man how you got 2in pipe on there i dunno lol anyways now your at the top end of peformance you need a decent free flowing zorst, forget mongoose, powerflow or japspeed, all nice bits of kit but are simply OEM complete replacemnets with no difference in design. I checked ebay and google.uk and nowt comes up, so either second hand on a breaker or if funds allow a system from the US, IMO not much betters Greg Dupress stuff at SpecialtyZ. I imported mine from there and came within bout 4 days, not cheap but then his systems are designed for power! which if i was you, i'd focus on :-) Good luck mate! Smithy
  21. well is your car a UK spec? if so sell it, is yours a jap spec? if so does it have a UK speedo or a chipped ECU, if so sell it If none of the above does your car go over 112mph no probs, if so sell it :-) smithy
  22. I just registered my phone number with a website (will find the name) and the calls have graduly stopped almost, just the odd one now and again. If after 3 weeks you still get these calls, and you retrive the number, you simply complain to this site and they notify them. smithy
  23. Soz can't help with the wiring, however am curious why your fitting it tbh A chipped ECU removes any limiter that exists and even then would normally be for a fresh import. smithy
