  1. The scoop when it was 1st designed was meant to go the other way, it follows the very minor bulge the bonnet already has, yep a wee bit of rainwater runs inside and usually onto the fan area, no biggie or issues with it though. Driving rain as you drive will still go in it the way you have it anyways, however IMO it looks totally wrong and hence why the majority fitted are the other way around. Rear bumper, it deffo needs a quad exhaust to fill the space and a difusser in Black or carbon would look great! Smithy
  2. Just buy yer brackets from Z1 mate, tried and tested and used on many over in the US, saves any faffing about and costs about 150 delivered i think. smithy
  3. I think you could be the 1st on here to do it. As long as you use larger wheels (18in) and no doubt fit the required brackets, then 370z calipers and discs and possibly braided lines, then i believe they will fit straight on. Price i would say is a bargain btw smithy
  4. Here yer go http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?97275-Wanting-the-black-stripe-again!!&p=926157#post926157 G64-1 Charcoal smithy
  5. Yup! simply look at it, if it's Grey alloy colour with what looks like fins it is series 1, if it's Black and hard plastic, it's series 2. Smithy
  6. Unplug the fuel pump fuse in the small black box Drivers side bulkhead. Try to start it about 4 or 5 times. Symptoms are of the water temp sender ECU side either disconnected, faulty wiring to it. Smithy
  7. Ask for Phil who's worked on many Zeds before Blackmoor Service Station 363 Manchester Rd , Astley, Manchester, M29 7DX Tel: 01942 883348 hth smithy
  8. Hope this helps mate http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?147851-Manual-conversion&p=1486939&viewfull=1#post1486939 smithy
  9. Assuming the cover is still okay mate, just order a new disc from specialtyz. Quick delivery and cheap posting for that. smithy
  10. Or these are about the same and a spark plug company, used to be a trader here many years ago http://spark-plugs.co.uk/index.php/search/simple/58205 smithy
  11. You can still do a wee simple mod incase a flat battery happens again mate and your not with a spare battery to activate the actuators. I can't post it on here as my old Zed would still has this mod on it and if you do yours, everyone will know lol Feel free to email me using my username @manx.net i'll let yer know! No handles is cool though :-) Smithy
  12. Loved my old Silvia S12, 1.8T went very well and easy to work on. They go mega cheap now. smithy

  15. Aye the 11b was only available in the US designed by Nissan for the difference in emission laws me thinks, however it protruded just ever so slightly morre which benefitted the UK cars running higher boost. 11C also designed by Nissan works well with both stock and higher boost, just not quite as good as the 11B that was all. smithy
  16. You can't really buy the B in the UK, so the 11C is the jobbie to go for smithy
  17. First off at least the guy can spell when writing something! Yep i agree many Nissan dealers have no experience or very little of Zeds, however some still do and especially those who have continued working on them for the past 20 years. Given this guy has put up very detailed info on the work done by Nissan dealers, one would asume he has the invoices and of course given the work wasn't exactly done in last few weeks, it's obviously still all working well. ANY car with dealership invoices will always look more attractive to a potential purchaser and can help in it's re sale vaule. IMO it's not a bad Zed and with some good history too and is worth a punt if someone was interested! Smithy
  18. If fitting the 33's then handbrake remains as is. smithy
  19. Brembo rears from the GTR33 ONLY are an easy fitting, R34 and 350Z NOT easy at all. Smithy
  20. Nope and nope. Import duties are due on the total cost of the package including postage costs. Boxes can go missing or arrive at customs very badly damaged, you can claim ONLY the value declared by the sender even if he emails you the invoice of the true amount. If you claim for the real amount on a missing box and the box does eventually turn up, your in trouble, big time. Even worse is if they put the real invoice inside the box and a false decleration outside the box, should customs open the box or find it damaged and they spot the real costs invoice, your liable AND they can bring action against you. In short you paid £730 for the 4 items which should have been best part of a grand delivered with correct duties paid. Jeff would have done the clutch and flywheel for around £600 (supply only) leaving the remaining £130 towards cost of the short shifter and airguide, so the risk didn'y outweigh the costs. Fitted would have been around £900 ish which compared to trus costs of importing, was an attractive option. Well done but beware next time, a decleration of just 10% means a very high risk but more importantly the benefits of buying from the US compared to the UK only really work so well when defrauding the system! Smithy
  21. Jesus did you check the customs decleration paper + Invoice attached to the box to ONLY pay 30 quid import duty on that lot? it must say something like about $425 Well done! Smithy
  22. +2, no wait a mo i reckon +50 :-) smithy
  23. Andy can tell you the part numbers off the belts mate :-) I did post a full list of belt for various different configurations some years back, but alas my memory ain't that good soz smithy
  24. Yes providing you put the standard Nissan recirculating valves back on under the nose panel. smithy
  25. Zeds have BOVS as standard so by swapping for ones that fart and whoosh, your simply getting the noise so no benefit. smithy
