  1. The issue of that pipe is wildly known and this now acts as a refresher, so peeps go out and check yours does not slide easily eh. smithy
  2. Higher PSI is not a problem as long as you know for sure fueling is spot on with the correct mixture throughout the boost range, otherwise det will destroy a piston, or 2. smithy
  3. The Vac pipes are on Ebay or any Samco supplier as not expensive, but SMIC pipes, you sure? none are seen unless you got yer bumper off, so any brand would do and even colour perhaps? smithy
  4. Sadly like any community whether in real life or on an internet forum, there will be a small group who from time to time and usually after drink, upset the good feeling within that community and that is a fact of life as we all know. Lately IMO that has happend. In recent days a couple of members gave their opinions and went on to make suggestions, the Mods/Committee took thos eon board and accepted to look more closely at the concerns, albeit nearer the time they crop, but that agreement was there and they were done with ears wide open too. However that wasn't good enough and late one night and a day or so later and the these opinions and suggestions became attacks on fellow members. They were given some advice as to how things were going down hill, it carried on with swearing and hey presto, light moderation now becomes heavy. That maybe just one example but it has happend in similar fashion many times before. Sometimes a subject will be brought up going back years and not really important, again once a certain type of member realises it be a bit iffy, it's latched on becomes bait for worse to come. If certain people can offer criticism and ideas without being offensive or down right rude or even repetitive after a couple days worth of it, pretty sure they would get a different responce. I do agree with thoughts about the funds, the number of Zeds is dying off slowly, withit will be members, specialists etc, so sadly this forum will not live as long as many more popular modern car ones. I have suggested some form of reducing membership fees based on length of membership, a bit like long service awards. The income gradulay goes down but only marginally and the members feel their time here is honoured and rewarded. A small thing, but worth while. More money spent on big meets and equipment too. We need a healthy bank balance, but not as big as it is right now. Oh and personally for those few who are pissed at night and decide to wind peeps up and be stupid, personally i'd stick em in the naughty room and tehy can only post to each other and we can all watch but not post. A great site that has been going for many many years now with thankfully only the odd blip, but hey thats life. I do know having been on numerous forums, we most certainly are not the most heavily moderated, that is for sure. Oh and respect gains respect and adults who act like children, get treated like children. Smithy
  5. Re run of the racing on snow/Ice, poor ole Zed is getting a bashing on the bends lol smithy
  6. Assume you have no warnings lit up still when engine is running? Take it you have done an ECU diagnostic to look for error codes? smithy
  7. Aye me too, mine was running cossie T3 conversion, extra injectors, I/C etc absolutely loved it. This is what started me off loving Jap cars. Smithy
  8. There is nothing stopping you saying where you bought something and if it was cheaper than Nissan, geezz smithy
  9. erm why not, don't you think the other thousand or so members might wanna buy some at some point! smithy
  10. Not that i was there, but always thought JAE being the biggest, then if EVERY zed from here had a clip on number plate for the front with the persons username on it, then you'd know who's car you were looking at and who's who! With the JAE logo on one side and the Forum Logo the other, it also helps promote the club. smithy
  11. :hang: Lol Back on track as they say! Really admire your constant attention to fine detail mate and always with the right end result, top marks  smithy
  12. Here you go http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_16&products_id=94 and http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_14&products_id=1056 and http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_19&products_id=3696 and http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_19&products_id=1531 and http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_17&products_id=2451 All that and a really decent exhaust of at least 2.5in diameter and a different ECU will see you hit 500bhp and probably a bit more. smithy
  13. You need a Turbo of T28 in size or bigger. These will have a 5 bolt design to connect to the downpipes. Z1 motorsports do a good one called the GTR675 Standard 300zx turbo is a TB22 similar design and size to a T25 and is a 4 bolt design for the down pipes. smithy
  14. You will need 650cc injectors or higher if you wish to achieve solid 500bhp. Either AEM or Emerald ECU management system too. smithy
  15. I do recall someone on here doing this before mate, pics and details were in his post. Seach each section of the forum Brembo brakes and you should find it, i think it was about 2 years ago. smithy
  16. When you did this you will hear injector firing, however are you certain you heard those particular 2 cos it ain't easy at all. Know when i've done it yeah you hear the faint clicks, but i couldn't tell if all were or not. smithy
  17. Oh yes he's the Columbo of Zed engines is Jeff, he always gets the baddie in the end  Well done mate smithy
  18. In that case then I'd swap your CAS for a known good one. If this is faulty then usually injectors will not operate, i've not known before if it can effect just 2 of them, but unless you can see some damaged wiring to the injectors, I'd change the CAS over to at least eliminate it. Smithy
  19. Geez mate yer should't have to go that far back, certainly back the rear of the Plenum i would have thought to replace wiring. You are certain it's injectors and not coil packs arn't you? cos if it was coil packs, then the PTU sends signals to each one see, so it could have been that. What made you think those 2 injectors won't fire? smithy
  20. Arn't they Japanese anyways, so think youd struggle even if they bothered to respond mate. What is it you wanna ask them? smithy
  21. Am sure a wee bit of hard driving or a sudden swerve causing the battery to roll will show you why it should have one now whether an MOT is due or not, but then with yer car in flames an MOT wouldn't really be needed either:glare: Safety before bling young man! smithy
  22. Be better off fitting a battery tie down bar 1st me thinks! smithy
  23. Man these things can be mega bucks mate, i've bought ALL the seals you can think off, so i know!. 1st Check a few other things, is the targa drain draining properly, is the targa roof seal well sealed where it meets with the door seal. Go to the other side and lower that window, raise it back up again and watch how when it reaches the top there is a tiny rubber lip now sitting on top of the glass, now check your leaky side does it do the exact same thing, there only needs to be one part of this lip as a flat piece of rubber and you got a leak, finally check the window actually does go fully to the top, faulty window rollers cause it to close about a mil or 2 short. hth Smithy
  24. As far as i was aware you had to also fit a 94+ lower plenum for the 94+ fuel rail to fit or at least do some work to it. Guess you'll find out what work when you come to fit the rail lol Oh and whilst a small minorty may advocate you can swap the tubs with engine in, forged internals being fitted as well, you'd be nuts not to take the engine out. smithy
