  1. If you really want to do it, then move the dump valves to the usual place being the outer pipes, then you can fit your balance pipe on the inner pipes. smithy
  2. You don't have a fuel computer as standard, it's a fuel PUMP controller which is in your 3rd pic mate. I would imagine the Greddy has been spliced into the ECU or is to simply control the extra injectors through varying levels of boost. Perhaps the silver unit is a fuel controller, as you may have one if you have the sticker lol smithy
  3. Nope thats just a sticker someone put on it and yes normally 3. The pics as loaded is your post above number 39, yowser as detailed them in that order. smithy
  4. That's basically it mate :-) smithy
  5. No mate no pic showed up, however your main engine ECU you posted before. Looks like all the pipe work to and from your coolers has been custom made and enlarged, which wouldn't have been an easy job tbh. Some serious money been spent on this baby! smithy
  6. Ah so you meant to say build a "custom" t section as opposed to the stock one then cos the original one ain't going anywhere near it. Turn the custom t section upside down to avoid the new air filter popping out through the plastic guard under the bumper too...... As i first suggested yep go with a stock engine and remove all the various gubbins, but i seriously couldn't be arsed sourcing and making pipework up and ideally removing/altering some of that behind bumper custom stuff for the sake of turning a couple of dials on the VPC :-) Smithy
  7. Erm put the T section to what? look at the pic again and visualise where the t section goes and where the enlarged custom ally pipe is with his filters on, cos it can't connect on there. smithy
  8. That's all well and good but he has custom pipework so would need the bumper removing and all the stock pipework put back in again. It's a pita getting it out, imagine how hard it will be getting it in lol The VPC is no biggie tbh, everything else can be stock, can even start the engine with no maff or VPC working, just alter the VPSC settings to suit. Would save hours of work replacing the stock pipework. Oh maybe you have upgraded intercoolers as well? smithy
  9. What!! "Average" garage price is 200 -250 quid mate depending on cash or card and invoice required. Not hard for any garage tbh, but always best to find one that has done it before. smithy
  10. Ok that shows some light on things, but not all your pics loaded? The HKS VPC explains no air flow meter as it replaces it, the ECU is standard but with god knows what wired into it! Look out for a standard cheap engine, do a simple swap over and get the car running then. That leaves you to open yours up and do whatever you like over how long you like too. well thats what i'd do lol smithy
  11. Mate you need to get this on a conzult and diagnosed and certainly your timing checked to be sure! The ONLY connection between your fault and those turbo's can be something altered/messed with/broken while they were fitting the turbo's. They are such a a small upgrade compared to stock, nothing needs changing in any way once fitted. smithy
  12. Nope it will drive and just behave in the same way any other zed does with a maf problem, ie: rev upto 2.5K and splutter after 2.5k. A missing MAF to the ECU is the same a faulty MAF. No recics or dump valves required to drive the car and the car would not behave differently either, they are there solely to improve the turbo's performance and prevent turbo lag and protect the turbo's internals from surge or stall. Next step is deffo show us a pic of his ECU and have a conzult plugged in to see what various OEM sensors are saying. Having had SE Nissans extra injectors fitted to another Nissan i used to own, i can't recall if the car ran like shite or wouldn't run at all when the extra injector system developed a fault, though i do think the latter. smithy
  13. car would start with no recircs and no MAF. However by the design of the induction kit he has, it's not meant to have a MAF. I am of course assuming it was a runner previously whilst set up as it is. smithy
  14. Looks like this car has had some serious SE Nissan work done to it as they used to do all the odd things you have. The extra injectors usually worked off a certain boost level and Pete from SE usually made his own gadgets, that silver tube maybe part of the control for it. As there are no dump valves, it'd be a good idea to stick a pair on tbh. The filters they often used were known to be crap, measure the diameter of the connection pipe and source the same size neck filter from say apexi or K + N or similar. You have no air flow meter either, so you either have a mappable aftermarket ECU and map sensor or again another gadget that allows no air flow meter. Look under the passenger side carpet and the board underneath, show us a pic of the ECU thats there. smithy
  15. Were the turbo's fitted with the engine left in or out? smithy
  16. You must have a leak or summit somewhere, those tubs are only tiddlers and no we don't have any fuel or boost cuts and nor would a re map be required for those turbo's. smithy
  17. Many thanks fellas :thumbup1: Sadly it's coming to an end, but was a great day, well apart from being even older that is! cheers smithy
  18. Not in anyway having a go at Dave, simply asked sensible questions on the basis that IMO whats being offered and why, doesn't make sense especillay based on his opening post. Like i said good luck to whoever is involved in all this and certainly someone could be very lucky, despite all your "if's". My point in relation to a house though is simple, IF you owned your own home, would you want your neighbours to obtain the BEST price for their property or the worst? obviously the best so as to help your property obtain it's best price in the future, the very same argument applies to Zeds, erm the car we all wanna see carry on for years to come :thumbup1: hope now you get my point. This guy can still get a realistic price that helps his next project and gives someone a bit of a bargain at the same time and all for very little effort. cheers smithy
  19. Shame cos with what you say, all the more reason he should get as much as possible for it to pool into his other project and save you spending your own cash upfront. 2K-ish with the existing mods and a fresh built engine irrespective of the "fettling" to bodywork, is to be blunt nuts. Shame you can't encourage him to sell it for a realistic price direct to someone who'll keep it and use it. Lucky peeps don't do this with houses otherwise we'd never sell em when they already hard enough to sell, a bit like Zeds lol Good luck anyways smithy
  20. Well on the face of things it all seems like it could be bit of a bargain tbh 2 obvious questions though, this guy has clearly spent a fair wedge on the car, albeit in some good and bad way. He is still spending money getting the engine rebuilt which ain't cheap in order to sell straight away, so why is he selling it so cheap and making such a big loss? Assume your not a bloke who happily buys things for fun when you don't need it, but you imply you may not even keep this for any period of time to enjoy or use yourself, so why you buying it in the first place using around 2K of your money to sell again almost straight away? why not tell him to advertise here or elsewhere cos obviously you know the answer to your opening question, yes there is a lot of interest in buy a Zed for around 2K with that much power and mods which is clearly worth a lot more. cheers smithy
  21. Oh and if you only want 1 post in the middle of a thread somewhere, on that post click the wee number on it's right hand side, a new window appears with it's full address, again copya and paste. cheers smithy
  22. Whichever thread it is, there are 3 boxes on the top right. Click thread tools and then "email" another box pops up with all the details, simply copy and paste, job done! smithy
  23. Should still give you the same answer tbh anyway a quick search for me shows different part numbers for all clutches i can see. Not sure why you thought about fitting a GTR one to begin with unless it was mega cheap for some reason. smithy
  24. I believe from memory the GTS clutch fits, to be certain just google part numbers of them or contact SRB power who sell clutches for both GTR's and Zeds. Smithy
  25. Just of the side of the fuel line mate is 4mm vac line smithy
