  1. Not a bad idea, though again a bit restricted on space, swirl pot should really be in the top rad pipe area and there ain't much space there as it is, quite possible though ;) Mark didn't you have the Howe or Koyo fella ? if anything i thought my Howe was a tad taller anyways. Did you sort your sensor position that you mentioned little while ago, or have i confused you with someone else :nelson: cheers smithy
  2. Well done Mike, was deffo needed for me self anyways :-) cheers smithy
  3. Have seen a couple of cars in the US where they removed all stock gauges including Rev counter and speedo, fitted an alloy plate covered in Carbon then installed all new Autometer ones, one guy fitted all new Deffi ones, looked real cool too imo smithy
  4. Ur welcome :) please pass on my good wishes. cheers smithy
  5. I done this some years ago and after searching various sources decided on installing in the turbo pipe directly after the turbo, for most accuracy it should be in manifold but sensor tips have been known to disintergrate and go into the Turbo causing damage also most sensors are quite long and there isn't the depth in the manifold. You should be able to remove the passenger side turbo pipe off okay and drill a hole then weld the boss in there for the sensor. HTH cheers smithy
  6. Mike feeney at MJP in traders section sells caliper rebuild kits mate. smithy
  7. The thing with chroming is it can so easily go wrong a few months down the line. Sometimes when you pick up cheap gear of Ebay if it goes crap later on you often think "ah well it was only cheap of Ebay" that peice in particular is quite intricate in terms of preperation/polishing and acutally chroming, so it needs to be a good time consuming job otherwise it won't last. Having seen Cos's work and some sold in the US the difference is really noticeable and Cos's outshines the US stuff by way of quality more than shinyness. So bare in mind he has a very good reputation to uphold with his work should the finished job end up more expensive or time consuming. Give it a go Cos lad and let the bling shows commence :) smithy
  8. Well i didn't want to be quite so blunt meself :D but well said Mark ;) smithy
  9. Do a search on the goodridge ones as there have been the odd few issues with them previously. Danny's supplier is responsible for many many sets sold on this forum without a single fitting isssue. Maybe Chris uses the same, dunno...... cheers smithy
  10. SE-Nisstek ltd unit 9 Wycke hill business park Maldon Essex CM9 6UZ Good luck mate cheers smithy
  11. I thought yer problems were sorted mate, so is this your second clutch now that don't fit ? (erm none of which supplied by me ;) ) smithy
  12. The place where the call was made from has been made known to me by the police and is down Essex way. Just incase there is a connection with this company or it's staff and this forum,( which is a possibility, as i don't have any connections with the company it self) i'll just hang on until investigations are finalised and if there is a connection i'll speak with the commitee first. After all it was clearly a one sided conversation that turned into a threat of life and as it played over the speakers in my car (hands free kit), my daughter was none to impressed that someone was out to kill her dad  cheers smithy
  13. All the best fella hope you enjoy yerself tonight ;) smithy
  14. Well i had this feeling it wasn't someone in the Isle of Man and fortunately it wasn't ;) Took yer advice Mike thanks and It seems call came from further afield and has now been traced, modern technology is marvelous :p cheers smithy
  15. There should be one that's smaller than UK TT's as yours has a smaller waterpump pulley, only by an inch or so. Search "pulley belts" on twinturbo.net mate and all the sizes and part no's come up for yer. cheers smithy
  16. Literally 10 mins ago i received a phone call on my mobile which went something like this, "Hi Smithy" "Yeah it's me who's that" "you ****ing twat, your a dickhead am gonna ****ing have you, am gonna ****ing crush you and you'll be a ****ing dead man, so watch your back" Then hung up. Now whilst this person obviously felt brave enough to say these things, he clearly wasn't that brave as to say who he was or more importantly WHY. Havn't the faintest idea who or why this happened clearly i've upset someone. I wouldn't like to think this is in anyway connected with someone from the forum as obviously over the years as things do, i've fell out with one or two, thankfully i've more mates than enemies though :) But seriously what a gutless way to go about things, which is clearly one sided. So when am dead and buried which could be sooner rather than later now, just remember where you heard it first  smithy
  17. And don't forget Danny from DTA, he's got some own branded systems on his site now as well as the Mongoose. Smithy
  18. Don't wish bad luck on nobody, soz to here that, 2 excuses to go and get drunk now, all the best anyhow fella smithy
  19. Well i sold me 1st batch to the US/Aus mate, though can soon get some more made up £56 inclusive of new bonnet stay clip and stainless bolts/washers to fit. However i did want to do something more for the UK ones like maybe having Nissan Motorsport lasered ontop in same finish as my TB strips and fuse box covers, but am open to suggestions ? plain or lasered. cheers smithy
  20. Done these brackets some time ago, infact Mac was gonna test fit my Howe one to make sure it fitted the Koyo. Mine was fitted at santapod ( the non holed version) So if anyone fancies some and possibly lasered top with ?? am open to suggestions on that one, just let me know. cheers smithy
  21. Apexi mate is somewhat smaller than the blitz and equally if not better performing too ;) Think Danny had a couple left in stock. cheers smithy
  22. Chris mate, the sensor heats up in the hot water and this heat sends a signal to the wire connected to it, this wire then sends it up to the gauge to read, which tells you it's reading, gauges are not calibrated to a specific sensor, to the signal. Having had around a 100 sensors pass through my hands the only difference between them is thread size to screw into the boss and the way the wire is connected, some plug on and some wrap around a small brass nut. Why ? are you having a problem ?? smithy
  23. Certainly mate, you got drawings etc or ideas just mail me smithy@manx.net and i'l gladly look into it :) cheers smithy
  24. Matty, it will look the same mate as EVERY Apexi kit when opened from the box looks the same, the ONLY difference is the bolt pattern on the bottom, you may even have say 8 bolt holes on yours and the one in pic does too, however the pattern is different and the Zed MAF will not line up with a Universal filter base, if it did no one would buy the Zed specific one, just universals instead.. Honestly mate when i dealt with Apexi's couple of years ago you couldn't tell one from the other unless you knew the pattern of bolts and the serial no. and the serial no, in that link you had is for a Universal filter with no specific fitment. Seeing as you've bought from a trader here (Danny) you've got the correct item that fitted 1st time round with no issues and from his prices advertised, at a cost under Apexi's mrrp, just one way of showing why it can be best to buy from Traders here. HTH mate Cheers smithy
  25. Just on a side note from the "what's happened bit" those filters are quite good value for money, however they are universal and if you want to fit em to a Zed's MAF they do not fit without having a double sided adapter plate being made up. i was doing some induction kits for a few Honda guys and purchased some of these from the same guy in the link, i made up adapter plates for em but at the same time checked how close they were to the Zed's bolt pattern, it's way off.... I think he may do adapter plates as a seperate purchase which makes the cost even more, plus on the last 2 i bought of him i was hit for import duties a month later so it actually made them MORE expensive than a vehicle specific one. Just a little note worth considering when spotting a bargain on Ebay :) cheers smithy
