  1. Jaffa mate, i know your skyline discs were skimmed prior to you receiving em, so doubt that's the probs. smithy
  2. Yes mate i sure do, it simply entails searching all over the engine bay and spot a vac line, take it off, cut new piece of blue and re-fit, go round the whole engine bay doing all that you can see, takes a wee while to find em all, but it looks well and sometimes can be known to cure the odd boost leak by finding hoses a wee bit lose that you never knew you had :p cheers smithy
  3. Trust me deffo not the HKS one mate, you gotta drive a zed with one of these to know extra muscles required in the left leg :) Dunno about the exedy really as not many Zeds if any using them so i guess the RPS is the one, probably the most expensive BUT it does feel like stock and comes with a far superior back up than any other. cheers smithy
  4. Yeah that's the down side with paddles, they wear out quicker than organics. Really depends on what abuse yer talking mate, the RPS MAX series will happily take that power and more, doesn't mind screaming starts, donuts now and then also being organic is only a little heavier than stock, i've ran this in mine for over 4 years now. THe MAX series 6 puck takes more abuse and even more power but wears a little quicker and at around the 400 quid mark pretty good value. A matching Fly if you don't have one is worth having too. If cash is not a major issue than the carbon carbon was designed to be abused  RC Developments having ran out of suitable clutch kits for their 800bhp EVO ended up with the carbon carbon :nana2: cheers smithy
  5. If yer down south mate then is only 1 place, baggins at Ztech  check out the traders section. I drive there from the I.O.M and it's worth it. cheers smithy
  6. Yes mate with belts to suit your application as jap spec use 1 belt smaller than UK and n/a use one same as after 94. Stu, the quote above was in general relation to whats commonly available on the market and in particular for the Zed and to show that paying for a decent branded one, reduces your risks as i've never heard of anyone suing the mentioned companies, ever. I do have to disagree on JUST your opening line though, as myself a member of that forum and regular seller, "search button" easily shows the results. cheers smithy
  7. Would certainly look to discount 60-70 quid for all 3 items mate. cheers smithy
  8. Whilst i maybe biased towards SGP or Unortodox yer have to ask yerself a couple of questions. Crank pulleys are made by UR in the US in their 1000's and by SGP in their 100's yet cost 4 times more so is this because they are ripping people off or manufacturing correctly ? If things go tits up some time down the line with yer engine and it's proven to be the out of balance pulley the cause, what chance have you of some guy who makes these pulleys and still makes a profit out of 25 quid holding his hands up ? :nono: So whilst the top names charge more, provide correct markings and pulley belts, sometimes it can justify the expense when you consider how much our cars cost to fix. Ask the same question with above link on twinturbo.net and be prepared to be flamed :p yer pays yer money and you takes yer chances  cheers smithy
  9. This really is an awesome clutch  it's probably capable of taking more torque/power than any other unit on the market today. Very expensive, but if you want something that will happliy take any kind of abuse and still be warrented with a free rebuild by RPS guarantee, it's gotta be worth the cash. It also includes the RPS flywheel so not too bad, just wish i could afford one :( cheers smithy
  10. If yer decide a new one is the way to go mate, then by far the most popular around here has gotta be the RPS fella, check em out below. http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/300zx_clutches_flywheel.htm cheers smithy

Geez mate, i log on here literally every hour or so ;) I ain't got no messages from yer mate that am aware off, you tried email ? PMing me ? any of the ones below usually work mate. http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/contact_page.htm cheers smithy
  12. Fot those who have done their own re-trim, anyone know the easiest way to remove the panel that attaches either side of the main centre console so i can re'trim it ? is it a console out job or do they just pull off ? Thought i'd ask first before i broke one :p cheers smithy
  13. Good luck Scoops mate, i used to sell these kits for them however after about a dozen sales their service became pretty crap, good units though :) They are also available in the UK from Apex performance. cheers smithy
  14. See no reason why not mate, however if am making em one size for this other dude, no reason why i can't make em another size to suit Zed batteries, though there are a few different sizes as peeps have re-newed them over time, but no biggie. cheers smithy
  15. well i've been asked to make a loda of these for a company, so i guess i better see how they fit on the Zed :) smithy
  16. Pretty much Matt, the Full dual cone/MAF set up is really for those stretching on existing set up in the mid 400's, where as the set up You and I have is to simply greatly increase the volume of Air getting forced into the system to increase current torque/power. Consumer experience shows Apexi's to perfrom probably about the best there is, so having 2 is even better :nana2: cheers smithy
  17. Hi mate, don't worry yours is okay, the 2 maf plates you have in the pic with no filter on, swap them round, reason being is you already had a Z apexi which you've fitted correctly, now the plate on the left of pic is the same and goes to your MAF, When your other Apexi arrives it fits the remaining plate, yours appears different because you already had an apexi and Matt didn't and i do the plates to suit the apexis you have or are getting, they have different bases see and i just have all the templates for them all  cheers smithy
  18. Well done mate ;) they do look well in there and glad you noticed the difference in pick up, Apexi's really work well, when yer have 2 of them :hyper: Oh let me know when yer Koyo comes, measure the bottom/top outlets and let me know if it's still 38mm, just in case i need to swap any of your silicone for you. cheers smithy
  19. Did you manage to get the new neck design mate ? Koyo after realising there were some issues with the old style breaking, redesigned it a little while ago. Stick a pic up if yer unsure fella. cheers smithy
  20. Could always try Elite wheels in Rainham in Essex mate, a massive alloy wheel centre of literally every make. hth smithy
  21. Well done mate pleased for yer  smithy
  22. Blloin eck that's a nice clean servo and reservoir you got mate ;) so the N/A only shares one of the TT's 4 hoses, just what i needed to know guys many thanks  Unless someones got a set up different to the above ? cheers smithy
  23. Anyone fitted the GTR rear Brembo's on their Zed ? if so was it a straight forward task or any fabricating required and what discs did you use ? cheers smithy
  24. Top man :smash: so Jap spec and UK spec TT are the same then, cos yours is same as mine (UK) Just curious mate are you series 1 or 2 though i doubt it makes a difference, just being bloody sure :p So just the N/A one to go. cheers smithy
  25. Okay, i suspose i din't really think you would have the pics handy :D but could some nice kind souls pop out to their car and take a piccie or 2 for me please, pretty please  cheers smithy
