Tech guy advice on Fan Question
If yer go this route mate, do NOT wire it into the front sub fan, this fans 2 main uses are when the engine detects a fault it cuts in to keep temps down, also it will cut in just before things get too hot, but certainly above normal operating temps. An extra sensor and loom with a pre set temp is both cheap and reliable, leave the front sub fan to do what it's meant to on it's own fella. smithy

Thanks Guys, she's flying
While i was over on the mainland for the autosport show and had some business down south,i had Baggins and his band of merry men wave their magic fingers over me Zed for the day or so. After duffers done me rebuild late last year, thanks mate ;) there was now enough miles on her to enable some serious mapping on the ECU, baggins and the boys( especially JD  ) tinkered around with some odds and ends and mapped the ECU so she now rockets in literally any gear you like :hyper: Thanks also mate for the erm joyous test drive on nice damp, brow of hill, bendy, bumpy roads around Baydon ;) As ever the guys on this forum know their stuff ;) cheers smithy Unfortunately after a few weeks a different picture was painted when all worked asked for and paid for was discovered to have not been carried out. One of which could have a very damaging effect on the engine The mapping/chip however was spot on..

Really p***ed off now!!
Dunno much about the Koyo's however if they did what Howe did, then the bottom outlet will be 32mm, i have some reducing elbows in stock especialy for the howe. Dave as the silicone you have is excatly 37.5mm I/D and your outlet is 35mm, i'd clamp it down with the hose band, don't forget and this applies to any messing with stock rads for ANY reason, the top rad outlet being plastic has been known to snap on alot more than one occassion  a couple of mm won't cause any probs, but use no silicone sealants :nono: smithy

electric fans
You sure on this one mark ? i've always believed the Euro spec was the nismo jobbie, the one's suplied to the Germans due to their unlimited speeds. happy to be corrected if wrong though. cheers smithy

electric fans
Bit of a unknown one really imo, very few if at all guys here have tried or actually have electric fans and for those in the US who use em, have no issues that i've seen. It is a known upgrade on many performance cars from the late 80's upwards that use viscous fans and is fact listed by SE for nearly all their nissan's as gaining a few bhp. so to the question in hand, easy enough to do, either source your own fans to fit or buy the kit from Z1 motorsports ( i did) then ideally buy an electronic activation system for switching on a pre set temp if needed, i got mine from wizard products in the US, use it with the supplied temp sensor which am mounting in the top inlet pipe and yer done, once you remove the old viscous jobbie of course :) Done this years ago in my old silvia and S13 and worked a treat, seldom did the elecy fan activate and car never over heated. cheers smithy

Grasshopper Pro Sport
Shame to see him go, hopefully he will come back and operate on a smaller scale perhaps, seemed to work before to good effect :) Rich, Johnny very rarely used RPS it was mostly ACT, if it turns out for some reason yours is knackered for what ever reason, in my small way of trying to ease the problem, i will do yer the RPS sport street kit at rock bottom trade price for yer if yer stuck. Good luck Johnny if yer reading this thread. ;) cheers smithy

"not-so-universal" ApexI intake?
This has croppped up before on here mate, yer really should have doen a search  only way around this if you want to stick with it is use a double ally adapter plate, i can do yer one for around 35-40 quid or you can have a local metal shop make you one up, not too difficult. Sometimes ebay just ain't such a good deal as it seems guys, least traders here supply the correct stuff for the Zed :) smithy

Boost controller
Thats right, the words AFTER "no" are only used as part of ebays search engine, he's put them in to aid his sale, so he's selling the sbc 11 boost controller. smithy

My 300 is a "Total Loss"!!
Dunno the full story Jaz, but if you know the person who caused it and they accept responsibility for it, advise them you intend to sue for the personal loss amount on the car, which is technically the amount the insurance company are dissing you on. Also do you know if the subframe area is all okay ? does it need jigged ? if not deffo find the cash and repair it mate, shes a stunner and quite unique, so stick with it mate. cheers smithy

Workers rights
Stu, in relation to shift work don't forget health and safety issues regarding time off between shifts comes into play, also better shift enhancement payments too then there is addidtional payment for working a 24 shift pattern as opposed to say a pattern that covers for example a split 16 hours shift working a day. No managers can see your minutes either as shunter said. I also work as CAT regional trade district officer and attend meetings regular at T+G headquarters in Manchester, if yer need any help, drop me a line. In short though, call in the T+G rep for your area asap cheers smithy
