  1. Very nice zed you got there, SWB TT and black are the best. Is it manual or auto?
  2. You have one fine looking zed there m8
  3. I have had a pair of these fitted to the front of my UK car last week. A mechanic did them for me and he reported "no problem" with fitting them. Did you request the disk for a UK car? Don't know if there is a differance berween UK and Jap.
  4. Just to add to John-boy, the UK car come with 245 tyres/wheel as standard and the J spec have smaller 225 on the rear. You will also find it easier to insure a UK car and it will probably be a bit cheaper too. Go for a manual gear box, they are much more reliable and can take lots of power if you plan to start moding.
  5. I have had my uk TT zed for over two years now and it has been very reliable. The only time it has let me down was when a intercooler pipe blew off while I was overtaking a car on the motorway, I was running 15.5psi a the time :) Servicing is esential on these cars, as with any high bhp car. Make sure you buy one with lots of service history if possible. UK spec tend to suffer a bit more with rust so give the body a good checking over. J sepc if your going to import, and this is my personal opinion, if low milage its could very well be clocked as a lot of imports (I have seen this on all makes and models) tend to be around the 55000km on clock regardless of its age, be careful. The zed is a great car and if looked after well it will treat you well.
  6. You could be right m8, I supose when the miles start to add up and things wear out the stock power drops too, but I doubt it drops by 100bhp. Get you car on a rolling road and check what your kicking out, the mechanic will also tell you if there is anything wrong with your car.
  7. Robert, do you have a TT or N/A? If it's a TT you sure your not in safety boost?
  8. The zed is 1520kg for 2 seater the jap TT Manual I got that figure from the Nissan promotion video, and 1575kg for 2+2 . The BMW 330d is 1580kg figure taken from BMW web site. The zed gets slated for its weight, but its only 10kg heavy than a SupraTT, and its lighter than a R34 and GTO.
  9. LOL, come on guys, a standard TT zed would demolish a bmw 330d! The bmw only saving grace is that it has 288lb ft torque! It does 60 in 7.8 top speed 141mph only has 184bhp and it weighs a bit more too.
  10. Top Gear is a great program for entertainment value, I love it. Jeremy Is a great entertainer but a shite car reviewer, even my dad says this and he's not into cars that much! Jeremy is very inconsistant in his reviewing of cars, I watched a series he did called J Clarkson motorworld he went to the US and said how great American cars are and they are the best in the world. Now his opinion is that American cars are shite! I prefer 5th gear for a proper car review and Top Gear for entertainment.
  11. Welcome to the club and welcome to the darkside.
  12. I feel for you m8, sounds like you have had a real nightmare. At least you have tried and have give it your all to try and get it working. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.
  13. Hi. Can somone post up a picture of their driverside foot well on a manual car please. My brake pedel is too far over to the accelerator pedel and I need to see its proper position and make adjustments. Thanks.
  14. I will be coming in my z with my m8, who is re-building a rx7 that has been badly abused. I won't be on the strip though as I only have 390bhp and it looks like its for extreem power only. I may see you there!
  15. Go for it! Put a zed TT engine in it and be a bit different! It would be a awesome project. As for the weight differance, a few extra kilograms want make that much differance!
  16. Could it be that a lot or most z drivers are not members?
  17. Cheers BlackMagic i'll do that.
  18. I have to disagree with the last part of that. I have spent no where near 26 grand on my Z, even with servicing and the mods I have done to my car and the actual cost of the car it's much less than half the cost of a 350z. I am starting to like the 350 though, I was behind a black one in a set of traffic lights the other day and I must say it looked the biz. Never liked the look of them when they first came out but they have grown on me.
  19. I want to remove the AIV's completly, can I just pull them out or do I have to block any tubes as well?
  20. I asked 2 of the cashier's of my local Shell station about V-Power and when it was coming to the UK, they hadn't got a clue what I was talking about!
  21. I have used conceptzed before and found them very good. They gave me a tracking number so I knew where the goods are including customs. Also they labled the goods as less that £100, also sent invoice seperate so I paid next to nothing on the tax even though the goods cost much more.
  22. I used to drink special brew but it started to give me a bad headache, I've down graded to White Lightning now.
  23. Very nice indeed.
  24. I have done 179mph, was still accelerating before I bottled it, I know it would have gone off the clock. Ive got 325 @ wheels.
  25. I'm sorry to hear this. Why the hell do people do this type of thing to other people? Rig the garage door to the mains supply.
