Have to agree, very reliable cars, i'm running 400hp and had no major problems. They get slated by ex zed owners who have had a bad experience with them, probably due to their own fault in buying with their heart not their head! Oh, ex zed owners, don't take it personally lol! :)

Thanks guys. I got the front 225/50/ZR16 no problem at £100 each including vat, it seems that the 245 are difficult to get hold of. May have to go for the Toyo proxis T1S on the rear if I cant find any F1's.

Anyone know where I can get a new pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 245/45ZR16? I have tried online Black Circles and a couple of others and they dont have them. Also tried local garages and they want £120 + vat + fitting. Surely I can get them cheaper? Thanks.

I have kick rom 1.3 2.0 and 3.1 they are 512mb each. If you want them I can email them to you.

Nissan spent millions developing the zx and they obviously came to the conclusion HICAS significantly improves the cars stability and handling. The problem is now the cars are up to 16 years old and things wear out including the HICAS mechanism which can cause the opposite effect and cause the car to become unstable and handle worse. It can be costly to repair so disabling it may be a cheaper option.

I use Magnatec 10w 40. I change the oil between 1 and 2 thousand miles.

I have been watching this thread over the last couple of days m8 and you have my sympathy. If it is the company I think it is (nothing to do with PCworld) then I can believe you are going to have problems. I used to like this company and recomend it in my early days as a zed owner but now I have heared too many bad storys about it and have had a bad experience with it myself. The zed is not my daily drive so maintance is quite a bit less than usual.

Paid 5400 for my 92 uk TT two years ago. Spent just over 1 grand on mods and about £500 on maintenance.

Yep, defo the Looks! I first saw a zed 2 years ago and thought OMG what the F is that it looks awesome I have to get one! The looks, the speed, the pulling power, it just goes on and on. I am actually thinking of selling my z, but only for a short wheel base!

If you can get hold of the Jan/Feb 05 Banzi mag there is a feature on a zed with over 500rwhp and the guy that owns it uses it as his daily drive. The mag lists all his mods, but I can't remember what they are.

I have similar mods to you, I have 325bhp at wheels at 15.5 psi.

As has been said service calipers, replace brake fluid to 5.1 and make sure the system is bled properly, and uprate pads I use EBC green stuff. Did all this to my zed and the brakes are now VERY good, and it didn't cost much either.
