  1. It's a pitty they did not feature any zed's. It seems that jap car mags mainly feature skylines, supras and scooby's hence the reason I never buy jap car mags. I'm sure they must be missing out on a large part of the market by not getting a more balanced car range. We need more zeds in them, and its not for lack of highly modded zeds weather it be engine or body so there is no excuse.
  2. If it's the one i'm thinking of it has front wheel drive and lots of torque steer. As for reliability they are fairly new cars so should not be a problem. 250bhp from a FWD is on the limit of driveability IMO.

I bet he will think twice about taking on another s13 again lol.
  4. Very nice mate. The single exit looks good on it to.
  5. Toyo Proxi T1-S. http://www.toyo.co.uk/index.php?fuseaction=car.t1-s on the rear. They made a big differance on pull off and also stick to the road when coenering.
  6. Just checked with my mate who owns a 1992 rx7 TT and he says VED is classed as a 1.3 so he pays a lower rate. He also said that some of the later rx7's are classed as 2.6 by the VED so they pay the higher rate.
  7. I have seen some brake disks in the shape of a flower petal, don't know what that is all about, anyone care to explane?
  8. Bloody hell i'm depressed now. Don't know if I would pay £900 out of principle it's disgusting don't we pay enough already? The only high power car that might escape is the RX7 as it's only classed as a 1.3 engine.

The truth is that the problem of poverty in the 3rd world will never be solved. As long as Western governments don’t invest in these countries the problem will stay. For example can you imagine if the markets opened up in Africa? You would get lots of cheap labour and products, the market would be flooded, and tens of thousands more jobs would be lost in the western world, our standard of living would severely drop. No western government would allow this. Would you take a drop in living standards to eliminate poverty? Sacrifice all the luxury’s we take for granted? That is what it will take to really solve the problem of poverty and I just don’t think people are prepared to drop comparatively high living standard so that people thousand of miles away can have a better standard of living. By the way, this is only my opinion, sorry if I sound bleak! At least Bob is trying to help.
  10. Excellent, I'm glad your enjoying your project! I am thinking of taking on a car project next year. I would like to buy a non running SWB TT manual, hire a garage or shed on a farm, lighten the car and then turn it into a 600bhp monster. I haven't got past the thinking stage yet though.
  11. For basic mods on my zed I spent about £1k this included filter, decat, chip, boost controller, RPS street clutch. According to my rolling road readout I have got an additional 110bhp over the stock 280bhp. Check out the for sale section on this forum, there is a nice SWB TT manual for sale if your mate is prepared to pay a bit more.
  12. Nice one, you must know your zed to fit all the stuff you listed. Have you uprated the engine internals or are you going to keep them standard?
  13. Thanks, got it working now. Nice vid btw.
  14. The link does not work m8.

Could it have been a turbo deisel Escort?
  16. I have the RPS street clutch. Handles 15.5psi no problem. Close to stock feel when pulling away.
  17. When you replaced the thermostat did you make sure you put it in with the arrow pointing up? If not then you are going to have problems bleeding all the air out, thus causing possible overheating.
  18. I'm hoping to be there around 10am.
  19. I don't mean to come across all smug but I don't have this problem with my zed. In hot weather the boost can drop by 1 psi and increase by 1 psi in cold weather but nothing as drastic as has been mentioned. I use a Profec B spec II boost controller.
  20. I'll be there. So thats 3 zeds and 1000 Mazda's :)

Are there any instructions for removing them permanently?
  22. Well, I can switch mine between standard power and 390bhp using the presets I have programed into my boost controller. I still think you have a problem of some sort with your car. You say yours is a auto box, could it be slipping when you hit high power band?
  23. The S3 has the same power as a non turbo zed, you should of passed him with ease in a TT zed.
