  1. Same here, around 400 at wheels is sensilble.
  2. LOL that web site is really funny, I like the one with the 4000bhp Golf by the year 2010. http://www.sniffpetrol.com/issue029.html
  3. Subru Legacy 3L sport tourer, Mitsubishi Galant 2.5 V6 Turbo, two practical sport cars.
  4. I had never seen a zed before until 3 years ago (even though I was into performance cars) when a mate of mine pulled up outside my house in one. Well my jaw dropped at the sight of it, I was in awe of its amazing looks. Got inside it and the interior blew me away, and the performance goes without saying. I found it difficult to accept that it was a Nissan as initially I thought it was some sort of Lambo. Anyway after 1 year of hard saving I finally had enough money to buy one and have now owned it for 2 fun packed years.
  5. Could there also be the possibility of putting a crack in the metal case of one of the turbos if you have not let it cool down enough when the steam condenses into water?

Again that link does not PROVE the 360bhp flywheel claim you made. How do we know for certain that the supra was not moded? How do we know the article was not doctored in some way without seeing the original? How do we know the article was not made up in the first place? All we have to go on is good faith. Now when someone makes an outlandish BHP claim on a standard car I can't help be cautious. Then again the article could be true, but all these wild claims just add to the many myths that circulate the internet. People will always believe what the WANT to believe.

You have not come up with any evidence for this, all you have given is graphs that anyone could knock up on a pc. I've had this supra v zed conversation many times now and I feel that I'm wasting by breath.

Mate, you really are a dreamer. Do you really expect us to believe that those graphs were from a standard supra? What proof do you have that they came from a standard supra? None. Your talking about a huge increase in power over a standard zed, an extra 80hp. Now we should be seeing some significant increases in performance data over the zed but what do we get? 0.3 sec here and 0.2 there. Anyway http://www.junauto.co.jp/democar/jb-z32/index.html?en PROVEN

OK so what car are these graphs from? For all I know the graphs are from a modded Citroen 2cv! Your claim that a standard US spec supra has 360hp is a dream. It just does not tally with the performnce data. I mean a 280bhp zed will do 0-60 in 5.2sec quater mile 13.8sec. Now you claim the supra has a whopping 80hp extra, and yet the supra only does 0 to sixty 0.3 second faster and quarter mile 0.4 seconds faster!

I'm still waiting for these dyno graphs that a standard US spec supra produces "360 HP flywheel"

Anyway back to the original question "Whats the fastest. A 300zx? A GTO or a Supra twin turbo. Or the top skyline" Click here for the answer http://www.junauto.co.jp/democar/jb-z32/index.html?en

Standard zeds make 300bhp take a look at the specs http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/magazine_articles/Motor_Trend_article01.html Jap supraTT make 280bhp at fly. I have never seen the dyno reports to back up your claimed "360bhp" for the UK spec supra, can you find them out for me? Sounds like another myth.

The zed has a much more efficient engine than the supra. Boost for boost the zed will push much higher bhp. At 9psi with 370cc injetors you get 300bhp from a zed. At 12psi with 550 injectors you get 320bhp from the supra. Put 550's and raise the boost to 12psi on a zed and your looking at around 350bhp at fly.
  15. I think you need to get the controller set up correctly, I can give you the setting I use on my profec B II if you like. I have mine set to 9.5psi in LOW and 15.5 in HIGH. As for the differant reading on the autometer boost guage, not sure if its a good idea having two guages and would imagine the profec would be more accurate.
  16. I usually log on to the site every day. I don't post much but love reading all the tech and banter.
  17. Hi greg, how bad is the noise? Is it loud or does it vibrate the car, do you have the disks the aggressive way round?
  18. Cheers guys. I have the link for 3G and EBC web site, can anyone give me links for other brake disks for Z like Brembo. Smithy, do you sell brake disks?
  19. Has anyone had experience with these brake disks, which one is the best as I need to replace mine. Any other front disk makes that are worth considering? (stock size)
  20. Actually, i've seen this car on the strip and it gets into the heigh 8's. But I bet it needs a rebuild after every run lol.
  21. Very impressive, but its only a dyno Queen.
  22. I got them for this site http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H3_osram.htm
  23. If UK spec bulbs put a pair of Osram Super H3 in for £13.50 Did wonders to my lights.
  24. Is that the guy doing the huge single turbo convertion to his zed http://www.japmetal.com/forum/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Proj1;action=display;num=1106172244
