Not big, a little bigger than a screwed up piece of A4 paper. You have to tape it to the top of the filter. Just try it first see if helps. It is something I read on TT.net

True but the dual pop should really have a MAS on both sides which needs a little wireing and money spent on another MAS. What Smithy offers is 2 filters with a Y connector, which can help but not as much as you would think

Do you have an induction kit? Some have problems with the airflow inside the filter at high speeds, causing a tube of air to go round the Mass Airflow Sensor, so no or little air is being detected by the sensor in the middle of the air pipe. If this happens it causes the car to stall at high speed. APEX'i Filters, if you notice, have a point that sticks into the filter, designed to disturb the air so it doesnt make a vortex round the filter. What you can do if you have an induction, is to put a bit ball of duct-tape inside the filter. This will disturb the air and so it wont make a tunnel round the air sensor. Smithy at Cybercraft do a dual pop. You dont need any change in chip for it to work, but the dual ones are only needed for when you push out huge power, like over 500bhp.

No why was it loud? ;) Pisses me off these things. The Neon washers have been round here for ages, people are putting red, green or blue side lights in too, how illegal can you get and nothing is done about it? I have seen a few cars with the cheap neon lights under the car. You can tell they are the little cheap ones because you can bearly see them.

Why whould you want to rise the profile of the tyre?

Did it happen when you was slowing down for a juction? Did it stall when you put the clutch in? If so clean and reset the Throttle position sensor.

I hope that is the only Z owner with that pathetic mod. Sorry if anyone on here has them, I just think they are really sad

I dont get the thump on braking but I dont brake hard. I have heard it while braking while reversing.

The Breather Kit is a joke. People on hear did a group buy of a breather kit to stop the back presure building up too must. Many people bought and paid up and considerably less people got anything in return. I dont know how much pipe to use, you can decat it with a long drill bit. Take off the pipe and drill out the cat. :D Stuart

Sounds like you have the same problem I have had and still have, and its getting worse for me. I thought it was the torsion bushes, and they needed replacing so I replaced them but the clunk didnt change but the car handles better. I changed the roll bar bushes becuase they looked bad and it looked like the roll bar was slipping, again they helped the handling but didnt get rid of the clunk. All a long I have been saying to people its the suspention and most people didnt believe me saying it was something else. Not people on here mind you. One of my friend who has agreed with me from the start about the suspention says its likey to be the top mount due to an experience with one of his cars and I am inclined to agree. The things you are discribing sound exactly like mine. Doesnt do it that often while braking, but does it when going slowly over bumps from speed bump size to small thinks like joins in the tarmac on the road. I have never noticed it over 20mph. It also dones it with me when turning a tight corner slowly, like when you turn to go on the drive and you are near full lock. When that happens it clunks and when I straighten up it clunks back. You getting this? My car is going into the garage to have the Cats ripped out and to have the clunk noise looked at too. I will tell you how it goes. Stuart

A brake sticking on one side could cause that. Jack the front of the car up and spin the wheels and see how long it takes for them to stop. You may find that the side the car is pulling to, the brake is slightly sticking because the wheel stops quicker when you spin it compaired to the otherside causing the car to pull that way. Stuart

The cars are given a grade from 1 to 5. 5 being show room contidion and 1 being a rust pile. All you can do is trust the people who grade them. However on the importers defence, most do offer warrenty with the cars, and a lot offer full money back if you can justify giving it back and I think the car not working is good enough if that ever does happen. :D You are best taking to the company. If you are told the car is a grade 4 which is still very good, no rust with a few stone chips in regualtion with the age of the car, and you get it and its nothing like that, I am sure that the importers wont be too happy either so its in their best interest to get it sorted too. Ask them what their policies are. Stuart

I have an APEX'i too. Its easy to fit, looks good and makes a difference to the car.

Metal case? You mean the radio cage? If so you screw the Z metal plates straight onto the radio. Dont use the radio cage.
