Plus dont forget that turbo cars are very badly tuned engines. Turn the turbos off and it will run like a bad of poo performance wise and would get stuffed by a NA. I dont think its a good idea. As said with the insurance. You tell them you have a boost controller to turn to boost off and they will laugh at you, plus you are telling me that you could resist the temptation of turning it up for a blast? When I learned to drive, I thought the 1.1 Fiesta was fast, then the Corsa GSI with a new instructor was fast, then the family Sierra was fast then when I got my Z after my Astra I thought that was really really fast. However, I believe , I handled the power because I made a gradual increase in performance, from a 50bhp Fiesta, to a 100bhp Corsa and a 130bhp Sierra which was also rear wheel drive which is a hell of a lot different with high powered cars than front wheel drive. But saying that I was driving for 4 years when I got my Z. Please get an inbetween car first. We dont want to see you dead. Stuart
  2. When you are bored that is not horney ;) I visit these sites on a regular basis. http://www.miniclip.com http://www.savagenews.com http://www.overclockersforum.com What sites do you go to often.

Your hands should be on QVC. LOL.
  5. I can see both sides of the argument here. First there is nothing wrong with having a laugh. Most of the best threads start this way, and as I remeber it happened alot on the old forum. However that is why we made a techincal fourm, becuase people including myself asked questions and ended up as threads of banter. As funny as it was it didnt help.
  6. I may do Aaron. My car is getting decatted on Tuesday and I have asked them to look and see if they can see anything while its up. On a lighter note I must recommend changing your roll bar bushes. Mine seemed ok but changing them my car seems so much better and more responsive in the steering and even going over bumps on the road, the car feels firmer and in a way softer. Firmer as in the car doesnt feel like its gonna shatter apart when going over a nasty bump and softer as the shock is more gradual and not a sudden thump like it was before. Only cost £15 from the Zcentre. I phoned up Thursday about 1 ish and they arrived with the post next morning. Thats good service. :D Stuart
  7. I have jacked it up and tried to wobble the wheel and it doesnt seem to move or make a noise. I did get a strange uneven tyre wear a few months ago. The outside of one tyre and the inside of the other went bald. But I think that was the track rod end which was replaced with my new tyres.
  8. I have changed the Roll bar bushes, and besides making the ride a hell of a lot better :D the clunk noise still happens. I have checked all the subframe bolts and they are all tight. It happens when I go over small bumps slowly or turning tight corners. Its coming from the front drivers side. Any one have any ideas now :( getting desperate. Stuart
  9. Im a M3 Driver. :D Nice but then I will become a tw*t BMW triver. :(
  10. I think its good. Nice lay out and I think a front page with news would be good. Like others I just thing that the colour scheme is a little dates. A few years ago all sites where dark but now they are brighter. Good work though Clarkey
  11. Really? So do you lot really think all that needs doing?
  12. You will have to be traveling at least 70mph over a very rough road, then take both hands off the steering press the switch and see if the steering wheel vibrates more than it did before. :D :D :D :D Stuart

UKMark. That car was owned by another forum member. I believe that he had no problems with is and a lot of money was spent on it. His username is Senna. Send him an email to him via the members button at the top and ask him about the car. Stuart
  14. You changed the same tyres I had the virtually the same tires I put on. I had the Kumho Ecstas with Bridgestone S02's. And I found the same thing. The Bridgestone grip better in the wet than the Kumhos did in the dry. As for the radio. It wont fit. The ZX had its own radio size and didnt come into line to fit the normal radio dins untill later along the line. Stuart
  15. Yet another great night for my local team Wigan Athletic!! Hehehehe Beat the 3rd Premiership team to go through to the Quater Finals of the Worthington Cup. Not bad for a 2nd Division team. :D Bring on Blackburn :D Stuart
  16. On the Japanese or US cars there is a button to activate it. I know the US model has a sports setting, hard suspention, and a touring setting, softer setting. But of course being in the UK they got rid of usless things like adjustable ride settings and gave us more pratical things like, head light washers. Seems fair to me. Stuart
  17. I found out my clunking. :D I looked under the car today and I noticed that the roll bar has been sliding along, by the scratches on it. So I have finally found what it is. How do I go about fixing it? Here is the bushes for sale at the Zcentre. No4 holds the roll bar in place and is where I have noticed the slip. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/Images/suspension/frt_bush_lge.jpg Here is a larger view of the picture http://300zx-twinturbo.com/manual/fa/016.gif Will changing these bushes stop the bar from slipping? Stuart
  18. Not seen anything from him for a while
  19. Fuses. 1 in the engine bay on the right and 1 near the accelerator pedal on the side. As for the idle thing. What have you done? Have you cleaned the throttle bodies, changed the fuel filer and air filters? This are a few simple things. Also check the throttle position sensor. Bet all this is strange to you. ;) People will explain more in a civalised hour. ;) Stuart
  20. Dont forget these cars would have been designed for that type of power and then restricted for Japanese law. You can get 70-80BHP just by changing the fuel rate slightly and makeing the turbo work at 85% of its designed boost instead of the stock 60% of the turbos ablilty. The turbo would have been turned down to get meet the power law and the fuel turned down to meet emissions laws. However the clutch may not last too long though if its a stock one.

I used BlackIce Defender because it shows the so called attacks and grades them green, yellow, orange and red. The red ones are serious attacks where if undetected had a good chance to cause menice, these are acutally attempts to access restricted stuff on your computer by getting in through closed or used ports. Orange are probes which are data just scanning for vunerable computers. This is not really an attempt to try and hack your computer. What it is doing is checking out 1 or 2 ways of accessing your computer, when its tried and failed the scan moves on to another computer. These people I would not really class as hackers, becuase they need a trojan horse to be installed on your computer. I had one on my computer because I wanted to look at it which meant I was open to attacks. The things that kept happening where computer locked out and computer turned off, which was what you could do with that particular trojan. These are not hackers they are just pain in the arse kids. Yellow, are things like wrong information being sent to you. It could hid a hack but is most probably a website some one is loading and some of the data was sent to you by accident, computer error. Green attacks are information and most of them are accidental too. Things like PCAnywhere request, which is a program that allows you to access and control your computer over the internet. The PCAnywhere access so called "Hack" is just a signal asking the computer if it has PCAnywhere. Most probably some one wanting to access thier own computer but typed in the wrong IP address. Dont worry about internet hacks. When I first got broadband I was obsessed with people trying to hack and I reported every one who tried to access my computer, be it accident, error or attempt to hack but I couldnt keep up becuase there where hundreds a day and it increased as users increased. Now I only report IP numbers of people who keep trying over and over and of major attempts at hacking. Even the people who try over and over may be mistakes. Their mate has an IP and they are trying to connect and play a game but the night before the IP's got changed and you got one of thier IP's and they are trying to access your computer to play a game still thinking its his/her mates. Dont be too worried about it though. Stuart
  22. I may be wrong but I think that Windows98A (First edition) Didnt support USB, and Win98 SE's (Second Edition) major update was USB support. Have you run windows update? What you mean your drive doens work? Which one? You may have pulled something out during putting the card in. Drives dont just stop working when you put something in. Stuart

A lot of the stuff could just be echos. Ie people sending information like internet pages or even requesting an internet page and the data is sent to you by accident. There are no worries for that. Thinks like Trojansub7 probes are a little more dangerous, but the fact that Zonealarm saw it, means it stopped it. This is a trojan horse file, (A bit like the myth of the trojan horse. You think you have downloaded a useful file when infact when its on your computer it starts to let people in on your computer.) and if you dont have the trojan on your computer again you are safe. A good upto date virus checker will find the trojans. You can find out what thier IP is, it should tell you when that so called "attack" is detected. Use the IP address an look it up on the whois website. It wont tell you the name and address of the person whos "attacking you" but it will tell you the persons internet provider. If you keep having problems email them and let them sort it. Stuart
  24. Truthfully, yes but its one way to show how quick a car is. Like you said the Z top speed is 180ish which means it has 5 gears manual and 4 gears auto to get to that speed. When you talk Audi TT top speed is only 140ish I think so the gears are closer and you can get quicker 0-60 times with less power. As you said, the difference between 0.2 0.3 seconds 0-60 is less than a cars length so in the real world, there is little use of 1/2 a car length. However, 40-80 the Z is very quick and till be more than a cars length infront of a TT. The 3rd gear on a manual just keeps going and going all the way to 100.
