Airbag
I dont know if just changing the wheel is enough. They are set off by shock sensors placed around the car. You will need to install these sensors too but I dont know where to get them from. You will be probably talking a small fortune to get it done. Stuart

New Top hose!
Looking at it the metal hose doesnt go over the the ends of the radiator. I think they end just before it, and then the 2 are joined by the red rubber hose.

Hit on the head
Im with Andy. When I took my spoiler off to change it for a better condition one, I turned the key and the boot would fly open nearly taking your face off. If you can get a fibre glass one.

nzr - help from the IT massive please!
Give me more detail. Where you getting these waves from? Waves files are RAW files and can not be compresses. All you can do is make the sample rate smaller losing quality, or make it Mono or 8bit, or both, again making it lose quality. What you mean send to disc? What are they on at the moment? Are you trying to make a CD out of them? Stuart

Going to buy a 300ZX very soon so please help guys!!
The reason why you didnt have the same surprise as when you got the Rover Turbo is becuase you probably drove a 1.3 or something then went to a car with 3 times more power and does 0-60 2 seconds or 3 seconds faster that what you where previously drove. Then you goto a Z with probably 33% more power and does 0-60 in 1 second faster, not as much as a jump as your first experiance. But get the 2 cars side by side and you will see the difference, get the cars above 60 and you will see the difference even more. Black Manual. You got a lot of looking to do. About 80% of Z's are automatics Stuart

5.3 0-60 in the wet. Not bad
For bad for a 2+2 especially since I did a huge wheels spin first :D on a wet road. It was done by the most accurate way ever, using presice timing instruments and speed insturments. Stop watch and a GPS LOL (Global Positioning Sensor, not Grasshopperprosports ;)). Even though I did do it on the East Lancs past GPS (Grasshopperprosports not Global Positioning Sensor ;)LOL) Yes Yes I know its a terrible way of timing your 0-60 speeds. I heard horror stories of cars supposed to be able to do 0-60 in 5.whatever and when they finally come to test it, its well over 6 seconds. I just wanted to make sure it is roughly right :D. If anyone remembers seeing that Maxpower vid where they are doing, 0-60 and top speed and the 500bhp Z got 0-60 in 5.6 and then 5.7 after that. Nightmere! I am also telling you because its been a little slow lately. People spending too much time Xmas shopping and spending time with thier FAMILYFingers> when they should be spending hours at a time staring at a screen computer screen, pressing the refresh button on the forum ever few minutes. LOL God Im Bored. :( Stuart

tracking
Your camber will change. It all depends on how much you lower the car.

How come that in Japan......?
I know some one who went to Japan to visit a friend, and when they where going back to the airport they where caught speeding, doing 100mph on their motorway. They where pulled over by the police and the driver started arguing with the police officer about how fast she was going. She got the conviction down to 80mph.

META alarm in my Z
I know, what my problems was, I took my car back 3-4 times to fix problems, ranging from boot sensor faulty, bonnet sensor faulty (and still is) car not locking itself, and have interior panels in the passengers footwell and drivers footwell where the panels where getting in the way of my pedels. Yet they said they didnt go near that area, even though they would have to get to the drivers side to link the alarm to the immobiliser and the passenger side to wire the door sensor up and he stood there an lied to me. The fact that the bonnet sensor has never worked and on the occations I have told them about it, they say they have fixed it, but when I get home its not. Which means they where bone idle and dont test after installation. The fact that they didnt put the automatic locking on because they said the alarm keeps going off when you wash the car with the alarm on keeps setting it off, yet the noise of a screwdriver being ripped through my door and the sound and shock of the handle being smashed didnt set it off, and the atempt at getting in though my boot didnt set it off, but they say its working perfectly and woundnt tocuh my car again untill it has a "REAL PROBLEM" When I contacted Meta they didnt seem one bit interested about the fact thier official alarm fitters where doing a bone idle job, and didnt give a shit that my alarm doesnt work correctly and they fitters refuse to do anything about it. Thats why I emailes Meta. Stuart

hello I'm new here - help
Try adjusting the lights. My lights didnt even make a mark on the road, and it passed 2 MOTs like that, on day I adjusted them and I found that the lights where just shinning straight down into the light unit. I tried 130WATT bulbs and they didnt last very long. 2-3 weeks like Derek said. As for the engine not starting sometimes, it may be your PTU, which gives the spark plug coils the charge to fire. They have a habit of going due to the heat of the engine. http://www.zcentre.co.uk have rims for sale. Stuart

What is "DE-CAT"??
Jap cats have a cat temperature wire on then I think. If you get whole new pipes there is no place for the wire to go so the warning light may stay on. The pipes will cost about £200. Or a mechanic should be able to cut open the pipes and take out the cat and seal it back. This is cheaper and the temp sensor still has a place to go. People say that getting new "test pipes" as they are called, is better then gutting the cats. Stuart

Abs
You can hear when your ABS kicks in so its not that and ABS only comes on when you lock your wheels up.

Sold my Honda Prelude and looking to buy a 300ZX
It is a lot of car for the money. T-top, Air Con, 16 inch alloys, Turbo, ABS. I think they are cheap because they are hugely over looked. For start the Supra is more well known, Mitsubishi are more known for making sports cars with the GTO, FTO, Starion and Galant, and Nissan have the Skyline and Z as major sports cars and nothing inbetween, so they dont get the reputation as having great sports cars. There have been many stories of people asking what the car is when they see it. People dont know about it and dont know what it can do. Stuart

Sold my Honda Prelude and looking to buy a 300ZX
1) Dont know! 2) I have got 3 mates in the back both over 6 foot, they where very crampt but its OK for the 10 min drive to the pub. :D 3) I am paying £900 TPFT but I was only 22 at the time. If you get a Z over 10 years old, or 10 years old, you can get it insured on classic insurance which I know some people are paying less than £500 a year full comp with mods. It also frees your NCB to due on a 2nd car which most require. 4) Up to you. UK cheaper to insure, Jap tend to be lower mileage and less rust. 5) Do a search on Manual V Auto and you will find that much blood as been spilt over that argument. Manuals are harder to find, because they made less manuals and they are more in demand. Its personal choise. 6) You should be able to get a decent Z for 5k. As with most things you get what you pay for. Look on autotrader and have a look. I paid £4,500 2 years ago and it was a shed, but getting better. But the engine was in very good condition. The prices have gone down a little since then but not much. I think in a year or 2 they will stablise then start to go up as all the rusty knackerd ones go. Hope you find a nice one and hope you join us. Happy hunting. Stuart.

Blasted clunking noise!!
I have been told by my mechanic that the clunk has been caused by the rollbar stabilizer link rod. A little rod at the end of the roll bar on both sides. I went to Nissan they are £15+VAT each side. Not bad. Thats my problem dont know about yours.

META alarm in my Z
I think it is, but the cost for a CAT2 alarm was dearer than a better CAT1 system. I think it is the installers, but the installers didnt want to know about my problems and then META didnt want to know, even though I told them that the people who did the alarm 3 times tried to fix the problems and when I got it back was exactly the same, which means they didnt test it after they said they changed it. :(

Hicas light staying on...
A friend of mine power steering pump or motor went on his Escort and Halfords charged an arm and leg to replace it and even billed him for the fulid they replaced. 2 days later he took it back because it was pouring out fluid everywhere and actuall emptied it. Halfords fitter a faulty unit but when he took it down for them to look at, not fix, they would give him any fluid even though its thier fault it leaked. Stuart

Big upZ to Stuart (SRRAE) Nice one on the..
Thanks Chris. I went to a smaller shop and they said they could get hold of it, but it was £40 more than the other 2 places, which is a lot of money. I think I will wait. Stuart
