Crash frame? When I took the rear of my car apart it was all the body except a bar which is located just behind the bumper. A slam panel I think its was called. It was made of aluminium and was very very light. It kept blowing away and thats no joke. Stuart
  2. However if you buy one with modifications you are gambling on that the work is good in the first place, that the owner didnt just want maximum power for the least amount of money and that the services where kept uptodate. Stuart
  3. :D I thought it was going to be that drunk peeing game when you said that. LOL Didnt these people do something like these but with cats? Stuart

LOL You keep posting things that where posted before you joined. But all the new people will want to see ;) Stuart
  6. It depends on what you want. Do you want a 2 seater? The 2 seater is lighter and will accelerate quicker, but I hear that the 2+2 is more stable at high speeds, plus the rear seats maybe small but they are there if you ever need them. About a year ago there was a 2000 300ZX for sale with 1,000kms about 600 miles on the clock. It was a 2 seater which is lighter and it didnt have any t-tops which makes it even more lighter. Stuart
  7. I think the purple only came out in 1997.
  8. Latz at GPS wants to make stuff with his own personal logo on for his Skyline which is competeing in major competitions. Could you make the things he is after? Is it OK if I give him your email address as he can expalin things better than I can. Where you work? Is it a company which makes stuff like that? Oh, on the 2nd car front. Well worth it you save money on the small trips and you keep the miles off the Z. YOu can also get modern classic insurance from Firebond if you have a 2nd car which means you can use your NCB on the pug too. MY best quote before Firebond was £850 TPFT with mods declaired. Firebond £800 fullycomp and I am 23. It will come down a lot in a few year. Stuart
  9. I think your best bet is to ask Bob. He does all the stuff like that. He's based in Chester. Stuart
  10. Eric, are you the person who can make personalised transfers and stuff? Stuart
  11. It all depends on how good condition it is in, how many mile, any rust, wear and tear. A good one about £5,500 - £6,000 i reckon, but its near impossible to tell from what you said. Also the Green Stuff pads are not good enough for a 300ZX. They are made for little nippy cars not large heavy ones. Stuart
  12. This is what happend to my car just before the PTU packed in. The pops are very very loud like a gun going off. When the PTU causes a misfire the unignited fuel goes down the exhaust and ends up igniting, creating a loud pop, and often, some black soot. PTUs tend to just go on you, but on my car, the contacts where very very dirty and wasnt creating a good connection until if failed. For about 3-4 months before my car would make this reall loud bang and I had no idea what it was. Then I broke down because of the failed PTU and just before I broke down I got the same bangs and pops, just a lot more about 5 or 6 really lound bangs and pops in a row. Thinking back, the bangs and pops a few months back where probably caused by the PTU starting to get problems. Take the PTU off and give it a clean with WD40 and some sand paper on the contacts. Tell us if this helps. Stuart
  13. Remember when this came out. He produced a video of it all working. Looks impressive but a little 80's for me. Very impressive though. Great work. Stuart

0.62 Bar is 9psi. All is well on the turbo front. Boring fact. Out of the, Supra Twin Turbo, RX-7 Twin Turbo, GTO Twin Turbo and 300ZX Twin Turbo, the Nissan 300ZX produces the most BHP per PSI. Stuart
  15. Also you dont really hear about people complining about thier family car. I know the Sierra we had: the rear axel , front suspention, radiator, electric windows, exhaust all broke in the first few year and that was a brand new car.
  16. Aghhhhhh, I dont want to hear this.
  17. Does the steering work find some times but the stop working? Has your speedo been playing up too? If so, the speed sensor on the gearbox may be broken. This is because the 300ZX has speed sensative power steering. You may not notice but the steering gets harder the faster you go. If you speed sensor is not working, it causes your power steering to go AWOL. Stuart
  18. About. But ask some people and the 300ZX is 280bhp. The 200SX is about 180bhp isn't it? The 240Z isnt 240bhp, the 260Z isnt 260bhp and 280Z isnt 280bhp, the 300ZX (Z31) isnt 300bhp and the 350Z isn't 350bhp. The Stillen 300ZX isnt called the 450ZX ;) Stuart
  19. Dispite the fact that its called 300ZX because of its engine size and not power ;) Stuart

Yeah I hear there are loads of 300ZXs in the US. I read some where that only about 5,000 where ever sold in the UK. Maybe less than that. Stuart
  21. Ahhh you thought that the midget smell changes when in an elevator
  22. Midgets are about waist hight. They can smell peoples arse, t**t and c**ks ;)
  23. Cool, I actually said something that made sence :D :D :D Thanks Nelson ;) Stuart
  24. It will be I think. I ran it for a while had not problems except one little tappet noise. Changing to a "thicker" oil seemed to get rid of it, but my Z has probably dont more than twice as many miles than most. ;) Stuart
  25. I bought a 2nd hand spoiler from DaveW for £50 becuase my one was splitting. Stuart
