  1. :headvswal thats the one
  2. ok so lets say i go the GT675RS route, i will need eagle rods, bigger injectors (740- is that what they are?), cometic HG, forged pistons and a mapped ecu for that? will that be ok?
  3. hi matey wondered if you can PM me regarding engine work you could do? looking to start of aiming for a 400bhp engine rebuild (at the wheels) however would like to be able to bung in bigger turbos when i save up for them after so that i still have the car in between 400bhp and preparing for up to 500bhp If you have some work slots available this year (as i am sure you are busy)then i would like to organise something :-)
  4. OK, Soon will be the time to rebuild my 300zx. Looking at what sort of price i am likely to pay for: -turbos that can handle up to 500bhp at the wheels (was looking at JWT 530BB's) -Split fire coils (if i need them) -Forged pistons. (Wosner or weisco?) -555 injectors - stronger rods (If i need them) -Stronger crank (if i need it) -and a chip/ecu to support these mods -last but not least a fast auto box or a strengthening kit for my existing box (valve thingies - not sure what they are called) what am i looking to pay for these? I have found some on ebay for descent prices but does any of the traders sell upgrade kits that include most of these? If not do traders have any of these that they are selling? (obviously injectors first so i can still run the car for the meantime) I have noticed that if i do forged pistons, injectors and split fire coils i can get them to around £1500 (that's based on me doing everything myself) I will email Jimmy to see what he can do as i have heard good comments on his rebuilds
  5. thats very handy to know :-) i will look into doing that when fitting my uprated oil cooler
  6. i can agree , Scott is good, had a cam belt change on my old zed there and it was done very well, I saw jimmys car in there at the same time and i believe he was happy with his work done
  7. there on mine, or very similar, look at my garage
  8. so i take it you often sit outside your "apartment" on your "camera" "phone" in your "van" complaining about a dodgy "computer" that you want a "refund" on, all the while you are staring at the "cctv" cameras as you throw out your "headache tablets" from the heavy night of smoking "joints" and taking "pictures" of your tackle! yes, in that fact you are screwed! (think i covered it all):D
  9. sorry if you are irish, have a white van, and own a 300zx with un unfinished bumper:x:
  10. top of the morning to ye,,, that a fairly smooth bomper (deliberate spelling) you mind if i sell ye some furniture? 3 piece suite for a fiveeeer
  11. this is hilarious, next time i see the MP's I'll get reporting about their fancy cars and their houses:dance:
  12. cool. thanks for the info. i may only go to 400 - 450bhp because it will be a daily driver I will look into the oil cooler for my box anyway though :-)
  13. May sound sad but i'm glad yuo posted that.... interesting find
  14. if i really had to put a post on without a picture i would atleast put more info:mac1:
  15. well,,,, i seriously hope he don't mean the toy :mac1: http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1052355.htm
  16. so more answers to this? sorry to bring an old thread but i would like to see what "AUTO" gearbox i would need (or what i could do to mine) to get it to handle up to 500bhp? would i need to buy a different auto box or get away with just rebuilding mine?
  17. ok when i leave work i will give it a go :-) i will report on my findings
  18. yes this is happening... as soon as i am on a road going 60+ its ok. but even just now coming back from a meeting in epping. as soon as i get to town it starts making a noise. Temp gauge is happy to move anyway from bottom to midway but i guess it is nackered and not showing me when it is hot. when i leave work it will be ok again until 10-15 minutes driving round town
  19. Yeah they go back quite far. I am 6 foot 1 (granted my legs are shorter than my body) however there is plenty of room and my mate who has LONG legs sat in it and said he was comfortable. Personally compared to my old 2+2 there is a little MORE room as they are set back a little (probably the equvalent of you putting chair quite far back in 2+2) try to find someone near you who can let you sit in one or if you ever come down my way then you are welcome to have a sit in mine
  20. brilliant advise from everyone ... thankyou and i will get round to trying this :-) i will report on my findings
  21. well first thing you can do is unhook the blind from the boot door and see if it does it again. i am getting anew one made so for now i leave it reeled in
  22. no idea. all i know is once (i presume) the car gets hot there is a noise of something else spinning (sounds like a fan) it increases with revs and when pulling away it can sound louder than the engine. I was thinking the fan moves ALL the time however i only start to hear it once i have driven for a long period or driven hard. I was thinking maybe my car is overheating and another fan is kicking in.. yet the temp says midway just wondering if it is thermostat or my temp sensor cant go higher than half way
  23. yeah any guesses? i didn't do it first time round but this time i................
  24. i dont have air con :-( was taken out
