right exhaust noise
My twin kakimotos are baffleless + straight through decatts. Its a bit loud for town, but pootling along not too many birds fall out of the trees! If i could find some proper perforated tube+ wadding baffles for it i might use them! Unfortuneately, all the ones above are glorified baked bean cans-just watch your fuel consumption go up + performance die.

prop bearing
Hi. i got mine from uk driveshafts,£128 delivered, with the bracket + nuts etc. I did try a couple of zed specialists, but none had one in stock. I will be fitting it tomorrow, let you know if its all good.

goastrider crash. fook he didnt die.
So not the ghostrider. He's normally on a turbo hayabusa, but you think he deserves to die for bad riding? :nono: Words fail me. :slap:

Cheap air filter
I use a jwt 'pop' double entry cone, no problems.Think its going to be aggro if yours is a foam type in the rain.
-
eek, no v-power or ultimate!
Most of my local garages are 121.9- 120.9. for normal unleaded.

Mpg
Since i ditched my sh*te foam mushroom filter+ put a 'pop' type on, mines gone from 20-22 mpg, to 23-26mpg. Yes, i have checked it. Done over the last few hundred miles, some 40-60 cruising, quite a few full throttle fast blasts in there too.Try and keep off boost+ they are reasonable.Stay away from towns too!

Keep the MAF sensor clean £3
electrical contact cleaner is great too, sprays a lot in one go+ after its washed the dirt off, dries with no residue.

petrol rise to £2.30 per litre
I hate agreeing with this, does make me wonder how we will cope with $250 barrels, i think brown could slash the PERCENTAGE OF TAX+ MAKE IT A CAPPED AMOUNT OF £0.xx AMOUNT PER LITRE, it would at least stop the increases screwing the country. I for one have no idea how i could afford to get to work, heat the house+ eat without some sort of tax break. With a limit on our fuel taxation, The fact the rest of the europe is suffering high prices+ taxation could finally give our transport industry a helping hand. On another point, sales of syphoning kits at halfords have increased..:headvswal

LPG Route anyone?
Hi. What system are you running? I want to do mine, but get a load of conflicting advice, my main lpg experience was an early multipoint 535, but the vans at my old work were just smoother on gas....not less powerful. I would like similar on my zed, but not if its going to be a long long payback.:nono:

Royal Mail W*nkers
I had to wait for mine too, but my van (e-van) was downloaded 2 minutes after i signed up. Why cant all insurance be like that?

Who would you vote for now.......
We definitely need a new alernative. Might try it myself. Apparently if you are a member of european parliament you can go to work at 7.30, sod off half an hr later, collect £60000 wages + claim expenses for pretty much anything.Meanwhile, no-one wants to know what you do! Must be nice.

3 Exciting moments in you life
Watching the light go green at santa pod on a hayabusa, with the front in the air, the back sliding sideways was.er.somewhat exciting.lol. lifting off in a 'powered glider'+ watching the runway through the floor 'these are only made of thin wood' said the cheery pilot. Getting free of my boat,+ breaking the waters surface.Only a dinghy, but the ******* collapsed all around me. A few others, not as many as i would like though!

Whos thinking of Selling because of fuel prices?
Have you thought about a new fuel pressure regulator? if duff, they chuck fuel down the drain. I sometimes get 100 miles on £25  Running stock turbos, full 3" decats, + a big green mushroom unidentified filter.

Whos thinking of Selling because of fuel prices?
I'm so bored and sick of the while fuel price issue, i run the zedtt everyday, i've done the maths+ if i have a 'cheap' car as well as the zed i will save a whopping £13 a week. I know the time will come, when i can't afford to run it daily but until then i'm going to enjoy it+ smile smugly at the terminally bored in their boring cars.I make no apology for this.I'm ranting now, but heck, seeing as i've started.. I work 16 miles from home, i did see a bus once, but it was lost!, theres no alternative form me apart from walk to a new job, then the local firms pay is dire.(mine isn't great) Think hard if you are selling, i can see a time when we all whistfully look back at the 'zed days' and Wish for something better than your new '75cc restricted to 15mph made from cowdung multiple personal transport machine ' Meanwhile, we watch so-called 'developing' countries burning coal + oil like theres no tomorrow. Why do we have to 'set the example'? Seriously looking at a life in australia, where the governments 'green message' is to heavily subsidize lpg conversions. Not the only reason of course, but a big factor in it.

Worlds slowest laptop
Exactly. Thanks guys, i have since found out that my local pc shop will not sell a pc/laptop with vista, with less than 1 gb of memory, cos vista needs double the memory of xp home. So, extra memory ordered, how do i remove vista Without a vista disc(it is a legal copy) I have an xp home disc. :(

Worlds slowest laptop
My dad got a laptop for xmas, the buyer has left us now+ no-one knows where it came from. 3 minutes to start, 1 minute to open internet explorer, lots of freezing, going slowly. Bloody thing sends me potty. Its an ACER ASPIRE 3694 WLMI INTEL CELERON M 440 1.86 GHZ, 533MHZ FSB, 1MB L2 CACHE 80GB HDD, 512 DDR2 RAM Has xp home, office 2007 + macafee security+ no games etc. I thought it would work tons faster+ better than my ancient dell inspiron, but mine is soo much faster. :( Does it need more ram?, de-bugging? or just a slap :slap: ?? Cheers!!

bent valves
I always thought turbo changing had to be engine out, or a hell of a fight. I passed up a 'for peanuts' dead turbo s2 as i thought i couldn't do it with engine in.d'oh.
-
bent valves
When you take the heads off in situ, is either turbo left attatched?

Outer ball joint
No circlips on this one, just a pressed on seal, thats smaller than the joint end of body+ the bolted on cap. Looking at it, the tapers bigger than i thought, quite a step.
-
Outer ball joint
If you look at a new nissan balljoint, you can see a slight taper. Using the 'grind+ knock' method is going against this taper, sometimes you will get lucky+ the balljoint will crush into itself enough to pop out the wrong way, then again sometimes it doesn't. Trying to do it this way took me hours+ hours of frustration, i hammered, drifted, had a big hammer+ a weight behind the hub+ all i did was sweat! :hurl: The first time i tried to weld a bolt where the thread was, it snapped the bolt. I then managed to weld through a bigger nut, with a bit of care so as not to knacker threads, poured cold water over it, then got an m20(IIRC) bolt screwed into it, a huge imperial socket over it, chunky washer onto the bolt + it wound out-i wont say easily, but it came out! :smw: I wish you luck, drove me bloody potty, mie also had a white 'goo' around old balljoint. I also sprayed penetrant dye all over it, tp see if i had cracked hub, but thankfully hadn't.

Upper arm nuts rounded off
Irwins are a cheap, but very good make.

No more japanese
I always fancied an alfa, but when the time came there were 20 on evilbay+ 8 of those were 'spares or repair' :x:

Ghosts
Ghosts.Call it what you will, but every now + then odd things happen, like walk into our empty house + put my keys in the hanger, have a shower(downstairs) + they are not there. I've found them upstairs on the bed, in draws+ outside.I can't explain it. I dont drink heavily, or do drugs, or have memory problems.Only ever seems to be little items, draws are often open too when no-ones been home.I like to put it all down to mischievious cats, helps me sleep at night.
