A zed fits in a normal council type garage, uk ones are a squeeze without the folding mirrors. Its definitely a 'snug' fit.lol.

Hmmn . Bt broadband. The condensed version of my experience. Sign up, pay lots, fail to work, engineer visit, stops working, repeat above, 5 more times, get charged for visit...... only to be told i couldn't use it upstairs. Shite shite shite service. Now with orange. lovely.

The local council here had 'traffic calming' humps put in, the type fire engines are supposed to straddle. Lots moaned that they were too high but it wasn't until jeremy clarkson wrote in the sun about 'needing a mountain goat to climb the eaton socon humps', that they checked + found they were 6" too high. Cue lots of exhaust claims, which council honoured.

I know its a silly question above.but. I got taken out in one by a neighbour trying hard to impress/scare me. It didnt do either, always thought they were similar power etc to a tt zed, is his a bad one? or are they all slooooow ?

My mate took his beetle to his house 3 miles away. No straps, or chains- jeez ok, i'll walk i said. First bend the thing bounced+ hopped over the side of the trailer+ slid off the back. Cue enraged neighbours, police etc. I know its not very pc, but i nearly popped a kidney laughing.

Send them some pistonheads ads, always seem to be higher/ more realistic priced than the kak on ebay they based £1100 on.I paid £1800 for a rust free jap evilbay tt zed, with cosmetic marks all over it not too long ago..

Nothing unacceptable about it. I've been mostly appalled by her..... until the last few months. She has raised the imortance of regular testing, highlighted what happens when you bury your head in the sand + ignore the abnormal results. She did a lot of good by having such a 'public death', musta been bloody hard being constantly reminded of her own imminent death.Good on her+ her family.

I agree entirely perenaman, the local law around here hate stopping people.All it does is give them reams of paperwork. Sums it up that when my garage was broken into the only wpc on duty took ages to arrive + spent most of the time moaning about idiots hooning around in stolen cars + how speed cameras dont help that. :nono: 50mph is just another revunue generator :xxx:

I've got to agree with that, i had a tl1000s with loud cans + maxton set up suspension.Brilliant fun+ a glorious noise :tongue: loads about for your budget.

I found that if you get movement, undo a little, then do up , spray wd40 erverywhere + keep that action going, or it just seizes on the rust. Nasty,nasty job though.

Anyone got any ideas, its got to be fun, or quirky, powerful, or a nice cruiser. I've seen a 3.5 legend, 540 bmw, lexus ls400, audi 2.6, even looked at a turbo rover vitesse. Come on people, whats fun + reasonably reliable?

I got up to 30mph + the banging vibrations were bad enough to launch my stereo out of its mounts.Truly horrendous,undriveable. Ignore the book price, act like you have £2.5 k to spend, look at pistonheads + autotrader.If a zed is advertised cheaply, ring up/email about it + get them to tell you the faults they 'forgot' to list. Ebay is 'usually' full of zeds with lots of small faults/nightmares. I used this method to increase my own claim from £1100 after xcess, to over £2.3k :hyper: Admittedly, i did have to spend 4 hrs trawling round gathering info, but still worth a months pay of difference . All the assessor wants is an easy life, prints off the cheapest ebay heaps + sends them in for approval,easy to get them to chage with enough evidence. Don't refuse the offer more than twice though, or it could drag on for months :mac1: Mine was a rust free, far from mint jap manual twin turbo.
