binding is often rusty pins. take the front wheels off, take clips off back of caliper pad pins, pull pins out, clean them up with glass paper/wire brush, reassemble+ then see how free the wheel is.

Hi. I have gained a leak, seems to be coming from the joint between where intake joins onto the drivers side turbo. the part thats bolted on, that the rubber connection goes to i mean. Is there a seal/gasket under there? Car does not smoke at any time, boosts well + doesnt make any noises from either turbo. smokes under the bonnet when it drips on turbo. Any ideas?

Some people are going to hate me for this, but. We saw our dream house exactly where we wanted it + put ours on the market. Thanks to hips, waiting to be online etc, we missed our chance+ it has gone to someone else.then something else came up + we had an offer on ours. Between the time of our offer+ putting our offer on, the one we wanted was also sold..... 'oh well, something will come up' we said. Trouble is, we are on a very limited budget+ need garage + parking, or possibiliy of parking spaces. Nowt has come up that we would of put our house for sale for.So we may well have to stay put. We have only verbally accepted the offer and havent instructed the solicitors. Any one had this kinda experience? whats it gonna cost me??

A head gasket 'sniffer' is good start, shows if there are engine fumes/fuel/oil in the water. Shouldnt be much to have it tested professionally, or less than £40 to buy new..

I've been trying to help a mate with his bm, trouble is the last keeper pulled all the relays out+ i cant find any info on what goes where. By trial+ error it now runs,but with only speedo, rev counter is erratic+ fuel gauge, temp gauge + miles are not working. Any ideas??

Quite often a zed tt with dead pcv valves will not smoke if left to idle for a few mins with aircon on, turn aircon off, tickover slows+ then it smokes? Anything else, worry, or stop looking behind you :wack:

Apparently, he bought it without a logbook and the original seller is unable/unwilling to do anything. As to checking its legitimacy, i used dvla, + a mobile data check. Thought that was good enough.Mmmnbugga.

What possible reason is there that i cant go to a post office, with id+ declare'yes-its mine, heres the form, now please tax it' Fecks sake. even in aus you show up at the local office show them ID + pay+ drive your legal vehicle straight off. It doesnt matter if i'm slow, fast, or double clutching, sometimes it crunches from 2-3rd + from 4th-3rd, really sounds like the box is gonna hit the road. Not all the time, cos other times it wont do it at all.I'm confused now. No problems in any other gears :)
