Interesting - speed cameras
I saw this on the news last night. Always ask for the photos! The SCAMera partnerships make many mistakes, read about some at http://www.ABD.org.uk

Fuel?
Bit of a cheapskate is he? yes. super unleaded, optimax is sposed to be the best, i think some use LRP cuss they think it gives more power, ive tried 'em all but found optimax the best.

General feeling of this Z?
I would take it for a nice long drive if i were u Kernow. If everything works correctly , the engine sounds sweet , no smoke, gearbox changes perfectly and the body is as good as it looks on that pic , buy it! £4700 aint bad and like Paul says get him to do water pump aswell, still 4700 tho. Its exactly what i was lookin for 8 mnths ago (silver/leather), but then i saw a yellow one in autotrader one night, drove it and bought it the next day. no messin lol.

Very Scary !!!
LOL mark u loved it really! Mine hardly waggles at all now, did when i 1st had it with continentals on the back, even in the dry. Soon straightens up tho when u let the power off doesnt it. The roads are slippery as fook tho arent they, damp and covered in slimey salt . Cant wait for summer!

low front end
I live in Burnham on sea , there's speed humps all through the high street and my front is only about 3 inches off the road! I go over them at 0.005 mph and scrape on every one! No damage done tho. I think the main thing to be carefull of is clipping a kerb as you're driving ! Havent done it yet! Also, if youre going down a driveway or pub entrance on a slope it'll scrape as u level off. I couldnt get out of a car park 'exit' once and caused mayhem as i had to reverse out the 'in' way lol. All gud fun.

Dilemma!
Be better if it was all yello, every one on 300zx.co.uk thinks yello is the best and fastest colour:dance: dont u agree? I have a week off nx wk and might be going up to Tamworth for a day, if u want a spin let me kno.

hold/power button
Ive found its something i never need to use really. I spose 'power' would be handy if you're towing uphill and want to stay in lower gear longer, but who tows with a Z?! Hold is only usefull on ice and only then if you have no feel in your right foot! Bit of a gimmick IMO. :)

Top Gear
shame they didnt use a yellow one like the one in the pic on the board, would have been even quicker again:dance:

Please Help
I was gonna say the same as Barry, its the 1st place to start. Has it been left in a garage before? It would have been wet and damp so perhaps something to do with that, ie condensation , if it was me i would open the bonnet and get the hair dryer on it.:D , well its worth a go!

sweet spot
What i have found is : floor it with overdrive OFF when it gets to about 90/100 mph in 3rd, switch overdrive on and it picks up about 250 rpm and pulls even quicker! Great for quiet motorways with scooby behind:D Try it and let me know if yours does same

oil changes
Stick to 3000 , its not worth trying to drag it out.

Oil
- Oil Pressure
I heard the same Rich, that starting from cold and just letting it sit idleing does more harm than driving straight away, obviously not booting it till warmed up tho. Something to do with condensation in the upper cylinders and the engine taking longer to warm up?- Oil Pressure
My engine is sweet as a nut , neva misses a beat, but sometimes when hot the oil pressure reads zero or slightly under !! The gauge is total crap lol. Dunno why they even bother fitting them.:D- Squeak squeak!!!
What make are the pads? Ive found some cheap ones squeak more. Also , are the discs ok or a bit thin?- Got new tyres
I had F1s on the front 225/50x16 for £90 each all in. Couldnt get them for the rear cuss there was a supply shortage ( back in july) so had Bridgestone so2's 245/45x16 for £75 each - bargain! I kno i wont be popular but i think they look betta than the F1's cuss theyre so solid - the sidewalls dont bulge out like every other make of tyre, they go down straight from the rim . The only car tyre i kno of with 2ply sidewalls. They stick good too.- Got new tyres
I had continentals when i bought car, it would wiggle all over the place even on dry road. Got Bridgestones now - no more wiggle. Surely any tyre is gonna let go if u push it too hard in the wet, especialy on shiny tarmac.- Revs drop when blipping the throttle
I had exact same prob too, temp sensor it was!- vecichle reg document
Perhaps the 1st keeper imported it in oct '93? There were two more keepers between when he sold it and oct '01. You bought it from the fourth owner. They dont name all the keepers, only the last one..., bored here at home!- Help - email from abroad offering to buy car
If you put a special clearance on a cheque and your bank confirms it has cleared in your account, surely they cant change their mind later?- Help - email from abroad offering to buy car
How can it be a scam if hes gonna pay by cheque? If he asks for any of your details then yes, but he hasnt. Clear the cheque 100% , then send the goods surely? - Oil Pressure
