A dual carriageway in weston super mare, i pulled up at the lights and this cosworth was there on my nearside. I thought fook hes gonna be quick, lets see if he can keep up:cool: There was only bout 400 yards to a roundabout so not much road, lights went green , floored it and he got half a car infront, then the Z power took over and i pull past him with my back wheels zig zagging 4inch side to side (last owner put 225's on back:rolleyes: ) then 2nd gear kicks in and Z growls and surges forward pulling 3 to 4 car lengths on him before breaking hard for roundabout. cossy eater yumyum :D

im a bit pissd , im naive too, what the fook is zyban?

Anybody use slick 50 in their Z? I had a RX7 before and couldnt use slick50 in it. Is it ok in a Z? Is it worth doing ? Also is it worth putting the auto box slick50 in? Also the book says use 5/40 or 10/40 fully synthentic but ive seen on here that alot of you use 10/60. Is that thicker and why use it ? Also, is any make of filter better or worse? W/B pleasey weasey

So yellow is for hairdressers huh!! lol To me : yello is the most eye catching colour , silver is great , standard Z looks best in silver, red is ok but doesnt really compliment the Z, blue is ok but looks a bit un-sporty, grey is ok but quite boring, white is just boring, black doesnt do anything for a Z and i dont really look twice at it - my father has black cars but then he's an undertaker! :D Edit this post with your rating below guys, 7 for the best, 1 for the worst and state your column ; c'mon yella yellow- 7 silver- 6 red- 5 blue- 4 grey- 3 white- 2 black- 1 (Trevz column 1)

Heya, I had a red RX7 before my z and had to polish it every month, it faded bad in the sun! I love silver Z's, i was gonna get one untill i saw this ( see atachment) and had to buy it! Heya, i just wondered if there is a fuel pick-up strainer in the tank on a z? It does sound like fuel starvation, maybe the gauze is a bit clogged? Ive known it on other cars :)

lol i didnt mean to start arguments! Personally i luv manuals but i luv autos too, learning to change gear with ya foot instead of ya hand; or lock it in 2nd and hav all the oversteer u want, and u still get good engine breaking when approachin roundabouts at 100 just clickin out of o/d. Nobody answered the kickdown question, can any of you still kickdown to 1st at 30mph? The only way i can is by pullin the stick back to 1st and floorin it, its much quicker than 2nd at that speed, i dont do it much tho just when i need to lose an imprezza or summat!

Heya, i took my z to a garage near Bristol who specialise in jap import sportscars. I found they were very good but the downside is they charge £38 + vat per hour, but they do have all the latest diagnostic equipment. Its not too close to you tho', but theyre called Protechnical Ltd. tel 01275 859955, :)

Heya everyone! Im new here, had my z less than a mnth and love it, btw its the yellow one on paul baileys site (under 'front section l' & 'rear wing l') if anyone wants to look, i was amazed to see it there! Anyway back to the point, when accelerating hard it changes to 2nd gear at 48mph then 3rd at 80mph then still pulling hard in 3rd i click the overdrive button ON and the revs pick up slightly and it pulls even quicker! Are your z's the same? Does it accelerate slightly quicker with o/d on all the time? Also, it wont kick down to 1st if im doing over 24mph is that normal and can i adjust to get 1st at say 30mph? Replies welcome pleasey weasey!

Ive only had my z less than a mnth so not experienced, but it was misfiring slightly on the nearside and occasional black smoke out the n/s exhaust. I took it to Protech near Bristol who done engine diagnostics and said injectors were dirty, engine temperature sensor was coroded, but mainly the n/s lambda sensor was faulty. making it run rich on that side. So after a bill for £540 it now runs perfectly.
