  1. 50k miles a year and no points yet, but i know thats only by luck. I dont drive thru Wales much so that helps! Fookin camera partnerships make my blood boil but thats another story.
  2. Well done Dan, nice 1st car that. Remember to keep ya eyes peeled for sneaky scamera vans etc. tho! specially as you've only got 6 points to play with. cheers
  3. My Alfa does this starting from cold, its the valve stem oil seals like Paul said, not a problem other than looks ugly! Does anyone know why blocked pcv valves causes blue oily smoke? I know it does but why? How does oil/fumes get in the cylinders ? It does when the re-breath system is working correctly anyway doesnt it? I would have thought it should just blow the dipstick out.
  4. But he's not facing the wrong way! Its a oneway road. Its a mean thing for two coppers to do this! Politely challenge it Billy!
  5. On the other hand if you're doin 1000miles aweek the wear's not bad! I got 12/13000 from my Bridgestones on the rear (SO2's). Had 36psi in them and they wore evenly.
  6. Got mine from MJP in the traders section. Excellent service . Cost £197.+vat+postage.
  7. If you were parked legally you have to challenge the fpn. Its a bit unclear in your pic but is the rear bumper hanging over the double yellow lines? If it is then theoretically they have got you i think :-( but what a bunch of tossers! Also can you prove you didnt move the car after the ticket was issued? You should post this on http://www.pistonheads.com for advice. Go to the 'speed plod and the law' forum , some decent coppers use it. Cheers,
  8. This is what they say they will do: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/040421/344/erlx8.html Scamera partnerships to die - YESSS  Make as many ppl as you can aware of this! Even if you dont trust them it's a step in the right direction.
  9. Yeah £55.+vat+postage. Fitted Mikes metallic pads at the wkend , they seem pretty good so far.
  10. Looks ok , mine used to read zero when hot, prob the sender. Confusing details tho, the pic shows the old rusty zorst fitted but he says the ss has been fitted, unless its an old pic. Also says its auto and manual!

  12. I amaze myself, i only got 12 , some of u lot must be nutters lol.
  13. Cheers Craig, sounds good down there, i wonder what the rules are to emigrate, hmmm..
  14. Yeah 60's ok cheers, had no idea they could be 1k for a pair!
  15. Yeah the viscous fan blades - just the plastic blades as mine are looking iffy, kinda big splits in them, thinking they might take off and fly thru the rad! I have no idea what they cost or the stock IC! Do you know if it fits an import tt, i would guess so. How about 40 quid + postage for the IC and blade?
  16. Mmm thats interesting, so you can drive any car 3rd party after passing your oz test, must be alot of written off sports cars i would think? Dont blame you for not liking it here, so whats it like over there? What price is fuel, fags/beer, houses compared to here? I have no idea. What rate is income tax / NIC, if you know? Do they have silly speed limits on roads and gatso scameras? Is the weather better than ..ahh i know that one! Cheers,
  17. Nice pics stu , uve been buzy. Im after a passenger side IC and also the fanblades! if poss please? I can post cash or chq :-)
  18. Hi zx devil, So are you saying you can drive any car in oz without insurance? How does that work? Cheers,
  19. Cheers Dxjohn Richsmith, im lookin forward to Sat morning :-)
  20. Thanks for that info dicko, i'll check that out tomo. Ive had GSD3's on the front and Bridgestone SO2's on the rear for the last 10mnths or so and never had any probs tho. I cant imagine why 3's on the front and 2's on the rear could cause any problem? Thay are still eagle F1's and have very similar tread pattern and performance. Anyone else running this combination? Cheers,
  21. Thanks guys, Tack, im in Burnham On Sea, Micheldever is in Basingstoke i think? I dont think they could beat those prices to be honest. Ay3388, thanks for that link , it seems GSD3 not available in 245. Wonder why! Cheers,
  22. Im getting new tyres on sat, have to order them tomo so any replies tonight (tues) appreciated. My local tyre guy can get me Goodyear eagle F1's GSD3 225/50x16 £94. fitted , good price! But on the rear, 245/45x16 he says he can only get GSD2's £103. , but they have a slightly different tread pattern from GSD3's (grooves arent so long ). Does anyone know if you can get GSD3's in 245/45x16 or is he right? I've looked on http://www.mytyres.co.uk and they dont do them , as he says. Cheers,
  23. When ever ive had a seized piston the pad has always worn more on the seized side, because it keeps pressure against the disc and doesnt retract, am i unique lol?
  24. Have you solved it yet? If you spin the wheel you must be able to hear it? Theres has to be metal to metal contact somewhere - have you got a bent disc shield ?

Scott, I had the same thing on mine, zorst was actually resting on the metal bracket. I spaced the bracket down 1/4 inch or so with washers. There are zorst hangers behind and infront the rear boxes on mine .
