Mine are smooth paint finish, but i have new bumpers to match. The bottoms of the doors are still stonechip tho, and the whole thing looks perfectly ok. I would have thought the whole skirt sprayed in stonechip was OTT to be honest. How high up is the stonechip paint on the stock bumpers, ive never noticed. Is it level with the top of the skirts or lower i would think. Do 'em smooth ! You can always stone chip 'em later.

AKA scamera vans. Wondered what opinions you have of them? They dont get targeted by anti camera groups like the fixed gatso's do. I think we're gonna be seeing more and more of them , especially on dual carriageways where they rake in a mint from a high turnover of traffic. IMO the vans are the lowest of the low, you never know where they're going to be 'keeping an eye on your safety' what a joke, only it aint funny. What is their so called purpose? To promote road safety and prevent accidents? So what do they do - they prosecute on a mass scale average drivers traveling slightly over the speed limit but in the majority 100% safely, and worse they totaly ignore drivers doing the speed limit or less who may be driving dangerously ie. tailgating. They churn out fines on a robotical production line basis and alienate joe public form the police. A scamera partnerships purpose can only therefore be to raise revenue under the pretence of road safety, as it clearly doesnt attempt to prevent dangerous driving, or have any impact on it. Anyone here been had by one yet? Does anyone here support them and why? cheers :-)

No government is gonna cut fuel tax i agree. But can you not see the difference driving on roads today compared to 10 years ago? I didnt say tories would be good for motorists , just not as bad as this lot. I think you mean the fuel tax escalator? But labour carried it on untill they couldnt get away with it any longer. Are you happy with lower speed limits, motorway tolls, more gatso's, more talivans, having satelite fitted in your car to stop you speeding? Its all coming under labour. Tories 'say' they will scrap alot of gatso's and raise m-way speed limit. Freedom.

Are you sure the lorry driver was actually speeding and not falling asleep at the wheel through having to go so slow ? He can only go 56 / 60 max, 40 on A roads. I cant imagine an unmanned JCB or any other plant on a stretch of unmanned roadworks wondering on to the carriageway all by itself and totalling my car. If its a temporary road surface or contra flow i think most drivers will slow down anyway. If its just a row of cones and no work being done , conditions fine , road quiet, where's the danger? The only hazzard would be the gatso itself. IMO :-)

Yep. Hopefully we'll get revenge at the next election tho, not that the tories will cut fuel tax, but they dont scam the motorist as much as Labour do. I dont think i could take another term of falling speed limits and more scamera vans on every street corner! Satelite is next- they'll always know where you are and what speed you're doing , its already in the pipeline ,scary. Lets fook them out of it before it gets too bad! The transport minister recently did a review of all gatso scameras after growing complaints, the results were every one was situated according to the guidelines ie. accident blackspot and none should be removed. Who did he get this information from? The regional scamera partnerships! LMFAO they must think we came down in the last shower. On the men and motors program earlier , a caller said that gatsos were being placed along a newly built road near him that hadnt even opened yet. 'How can it be an accident blackspot?' he asked the authorities , and was told the contractors had a couple of accidents while building the road!

LOL , well if you dont care they'll stealth tax you to death! We could have been paying a fiver a gallon for fuel by now.

Is it deffo camber? Surely its worth checking the tracking 1st, as both tyres are wearing on the inside edge. Might it be just toeing out too much? ps. mines doing exactly the same! ( but o/s front tyre is worse than n/s) Gonna check tracking at wkend with mates old tracking equipment, anyone know what its sposed to be - toeing in or out how much? cheers

Windscreen would be the best place to mount it, if you dont mind it being in your face a bit. Mines on the dash, far right corner where the little flat bit is. Run the wires in the instrument panel cover / dash joint, and scotch lock to something in the footwell.

LOL greg, ive never driven a saxo but i can imagine! I have to drive the Z every wkend or i get depressed lol. Had it nearly a year and longest ive been without driving it is 8 days. Gives me something to look forward to in my simple life haha.

Went to the shell garage and filled up with optimax, if u didnt know they're doin a new promotion to win a 100k supercar at the sunday times motorshow. You get a pack of 6 car cards at every fill up, collect all 24 and you win! Anyway, on the way back this car passed me on the M5 , i thought what the hell is that! It looked gorgeous and played with me for about 20 miles, it wasnt any quicker than me from 90 to 120, unless he wasnt trying! So i got home and opened my pack of supercars form the optimax, and by coincidence this car was on one of the cards, so i know what it is now. Never seen one before, anyone know?
