  1. If its pretty much standard car, do a search for Carole Nash, they are more known for bike insurance, but when I first got my car ins was 280 FC incl breakdown cover with them. Barry
  2. Its all new carpet. Its made similar to how TVRs are made. They fit all the carpet around the tunnel and sides which I went for red. The floor section is like one big matt. The good thing about that, is when the floor has worn, it can be quite easily replaced. I also went with red stitching so it matched the steering wheel and gaitors. Barry
  3. I had a company make some up from the fitted carpets, but didnt fit. So found a trimmers who made the carpet to suit the car. I wanted something a little different so had red carpet on the side on black on the floor. Barry
  4. Lee, cant help you with your question. But I did have my wide arch zed moved on the back of a recovery truck, when it was sent to Alunox in Wrexham. It fit on the back of the enclosed truck, with the mania wheels I had, but with the spacer removed. Barry
  5. Happy birthday guys. Barry
  6. Thanks all, they are coach/roofing bolts that secure the garage panels together. Barry
  7. About to move my concrete garage in the next few weeks and need to replace all the coach bolts. If a bolt is an M8 does this mean its pretty much an 8mm diameter? Thanks Barry
  8. Thanks everyone :) Barry
  9. Happy Birthday Richard, hope youve had a great day. Barry
  10. Found these two pictures on one of the cruise sites, Im guessing this must be you? Barry
  11. Hi Tony, was good bumping into you at Halfords today. Can we keep my purchases between us, dont want it getting out that I was buying neon washer jets, neon bee sting aerial and a beaded seat cover. Barry
  12. Went for ganador mirrors. Plus I have them on a widebody car if you want an idea of how they look, check out my rides or the link below. Initially the mirrors seemed really small but quickly got used to them, plus have to reverse into an awkward spot at home and no porblems. Barry
  13. I went for 530s as I wanted a driveable car for the road. Not fully tuned up yet, so cant really comment. Barry
  14. Im aiming for both, went for wide arch with 19" alloys, with removed door handles, wash wipe, aerial etc. Engine wise, once fully tuned should be around 500hp.
  15. Chris, have a look at Alex_C's car, hopefully link below. I know the previous owner removed the grills before Alex got the car. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=1009 Also, I have had the roof painted to blend it in. Barry
  16. Like both as Ive had mania pacifics which were not dished and do look bigger than my now dished rims. Barry
  17. Hi Steve, hope all is well. A couple of things that I looked at while doing mine were Is your clutch upto the job Replacing the wiring loom while the engine is out Would new cams help to achieve a little more out of your setup. A few other things I upgraded or looked into Engine mounts, was advised to use new stock mounts with stillen engine dampner I went a little overboard and put new nismo crank, bearings, lifters etc etc. Ive got a list in my rides section might help. Barry
  18. Will keep an eye out for that, next time im in Tesco in Leyland! Barry
  19. Steve, mine arrived today, superb job. Thanks :) Barry
  20. Lee, what I would suggest is to work out what you want from the rebuild, are you hoping to get the most of the 16gs?. If so, the clutch youve got, is it good enough for the job, cooling? do you have an uprated rad, brakes, are they upto the job? Best thing would be to sit down with your engine builder and go through all aspects, of the build and try and make sure all your parts are together before the build starts. As you dont want to be waiting on parts while the engine is in bits. Barry
  21. Ive removed my door handles and had solenoids fitted within the door, which are triggered by a button under the door mirror. The action of the solenoid itself, and the pressure of the door rubbers push the door out a little. They also work on a button on the alarm fob. I used some from Autoloc from ebay.com. I was told to get quite a heavy duty solenoid, think I went for 50lbs. http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autoloc/product.lasso?prodinc=shaveddoors Barry
  22. If it had a body kit and the Fiat style rear lights probably was DaveW, as he's from up that neck of the woods. Barry
  23. Lol at Scotty! Theres always one I was always lead to believe, the car needed an mot for a number to be transfered. Im sure Kirbz lost his due to this. I guess they are lost, unless the DVLA once a car is scrapped claim them, then re issue them. Barry
  24. Only thing is, I think you need an mot to remove the number plate. Barry
