  2. Thanks everyone for the Birthday wishes :) Barry.
  3. Steve, I had to have the inner arch lip cut back, as mine did catch and caused a small crack in the fibreglass. Barry
  4. Just browsing Pistonheads and found this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2215939.htm
  5. Can highly recommend Phil at Blackmoor, he's done a hell of a lot of work on my car over the past 7 years. Barry
  6. Just wanted to say a big thank you to John Dixon, whos been helping me with the next part of finishing my car off, the engine management and tuning. Went round to Johns a few weekends ago, for a trial fitment and prep the car ready for tuning, John spent a good day working on the car. The other Monday, set off early, picked up John near Coventry and drove over to Emerald. Unfortunately time wasnt on our side so didnt get the car mapped that day. Left Emerald in an old battered Rover leaving the car behind. Headed to Emerald today to pick up the car and then drove back to Johns to finish off the install and tidy things up. Car drives superb, think im starting to like the car again after all this time and money spent on it, was considering selling up, but will see now. I have attached the Dyno sheet from Emerald, I think the BHP are a little higher than what they actually are, although the torque figures are correct. The turbos started becoming inefficient around 18psi. Not sure if theres a spark problem, or could just be the fact I couldnt get the Mike Smith manifolds when I was having the engine built, so still running stock. Even so the car is extremely quick and drives really well now. Johns going to spend a little more time on the car at his mates Dyno to see if we can get a little more boost out of it. No point in asking me technical questions, as Ive no idea lol. But wanted to say thanks to John for his time doing this, especially the other Monday as it was a long day. Also thanks to the guys at Emerald, really helpfull and friendly guys. Heres the chart, by the way it has 3 maps setup, all switchable by a switch. Will be able to confirm BHP figures on the next Dyno. Barry
  7. Good to meet you too. Glad you sorted the window. Shortly after leaving John Dixons met another 300 owner, pointed him in the direction of the club. You learn something new everyday, yes you can fit two bonnets and a child in a car seat in a 300! Barry
  8. Steve, have a look at my rides section. Had my exhaust made up by Leon at Alunox, if you do search, theres alot of praise for his work. Barry
  9. Thats great news. John is going to be setting mine up in the near future, maybe Emerald is the way forward for me. Will have a chat to John to see what he says. Barry
  10. I have an old Motorola SLVR phone and like the fact it beeps every 5-10 mins if I have an unread text/missed call. Looking for a replacement and wondering if any of the newer phones have this feature, most of the time the phone is left in the car, so dont want anything to expensive. Thanks Barry.
  11. Mine's been sorn'd for 2 years. Just in the process of renewing the insurance as I dont want to lose my no claims bonus. Wether or not it will be on the road this year, not sure. Basically just needs the engine management/tuning bit done, not sure which route to go yet. Barry
  12. Sideshowbob, found a picture. Barry
  13. Thanks guys, picked up some brick sealer yesterday morning from B and Q, will give that a try, if not will go back and try the bitumen, as I looked at that first. Sideshowbob, the problem is the concrete base is much bigger than my garage, as I had wanted to replace my old garage with a new one. Might do this some point in the future, so dont really want to dig into it. Thanks
  14. Thanks Vijay, I was thinking of something similar , will have a browse around B and Q later. Barry
  15. Anyone know of any products available from B and Q or wickes which will help stop water penetrating into a concrete sectional garage?. I went round the inside and outside of the garage with a cement (fillet) when I first built it. Unfortunately puddles form outside and seem to seep through. Anyone know of a product that I could possibly paint the cement fillet with to create a barrier?. Heres an example Concrete section l l l l l l /l l\ Cement Fillet / l l \ Thanks in advance. Barry
  16. Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, the doors have solenoids based in the lower part of the door, then the garage sourced a boot release cable from a Ford Sapphire. I have a TVR button under the mirror on the drivers door and a button on the dash to release the passenger door. Barry
  17. The bodyshop did all the work so not sure what was used in the end. Barry
  18. Did mine a while back, I think it makes the car more modern.
  19. Thanks all for the birthday wishes. Barry
  20. Happy 40th Richard, sounds like youve had a great day. Barry
  21. Had the same thoughts for mine, but still havent finished it and havent drove it in two years :( Barry
  22. Has anyone ever removed a dashboard from a Renault Megane Scenic II?. It looks all one piece. Would a Haynes manual show things like removing a dashboard?. Thanks Barry.
  23. Thanks Pete and Murt, will have a look at that. Marty, only installed it last night, went on ok and seems ok, will see how it performs. Thanks Barry
  24. Can anyone recommend some software for use with Windows 7. I will be using windows live email for my hotmail addy, but used to use outlook for my other email. Is there an alternative to outlook I can load on Windows 7? Thanks Barry.
