  1. When I was looking at brakes, I came to the conclusion that just putting big brakes on the front will upset the braking of the car. I then went and bought the Stoptech big brake kit, as its designed to work with the existing abs to give the balance braking the manufacturer setup. Not tried the brakes yet, so dont know how good they perform. Barry
  2. Great news Iain. Barry

So the winter project was to have a full rebuild, starting with JWT530bb, 615inj, AEM ECU, and lots of bling bits, pretty much everything apart from the block is new, or upgraded. 9. Just received a phone call from Phil at Blackmoor Service Station , it was all silent, then I heard an engine start up. Woohoo its running. Still a few things to finish off, interior has to go in. Then get the alignment done, as part of the project had all the bushes done. Then run her in and then get it booked in on the Dyno for mapping on the AEM which should be here tomorrow (thanks Smithy) and then start driving her again. One happy chappy :) Will post some pics hopefully next week Barry

  21. Was going to use twin MAF setup, with Apexi SAFC and custom chip by JD. Are there any pro's or con's to using a stand alone ECU, like the AEM one? How does it meter the air? do you still use a MAF? Are there any displays on the dash, for boost, traction control or is it all configured by laptop. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Barry
