  1. damn my baboon hands to slow, but he didnt get the piston info :)
  2. The difference in the power, where it exists, comes from smaller turbos and different cam profiles, not from the block design. The auto block and manual block are identical apart from the flywheel. Piston sizes are here
  3. to be fair. We are all sitting here, hopefully, fairly good drivers in fairly well maintained cars but, and its a biggie, you have some doddery muppet in a clapped out old banger on the same road. Now whilst I am happy doing well in excess of, I dont want mr dodder in his 19frozentodeath banger behind me doing it. or some batty boy in his tricked up nova (who has spent so much on his "bling" he cant afford to get the brakes sorted). I agree that the limit is out of date, and that it should be raised, but on condition that if you use the higher speed limit, you have to take a more stringent test (cos lets face it, we did a 45 minute test nearly 20 yrs ago, that didnt involve motorways and that was the last time our driving was assessed, generally) and your car should have to undergo a proper inspection rather than just an mot and six monthly , not yearly. That way at least the people doing those speeds are reasonable drivers in reasonable cars. Unless of course its me on me bike, in which case (due the far superior brakes on a bike, less mass to bring to a halt and the fact that bikers (generally) are better drivers) I should be allowed to update my personal best of a a fireblade "off the clock" :)
  4. That be VERY pink bud :) you might want to block the number plate out on the pics tho ;)
  5. in the face of no competition, I would like to be the first to welcome our new secretary. I am sure you will do a sterling job :)

  23. Same reason I wear arai, when youve done 90 mph on your head, it gives you faith in things :)
  24. If you drop a lead from the battery + down the wheel arch and insulate it (halfords do some a decent length) then you should be able to connect the - to any bare metal underneath and start the car that way, saves running two leads
  25. never been pulled for it in a car, but many many times on my bikes. Could have been the "you'll never take me alive filthy copper" on the bottom of it tho :) Got pulled in wimbledon one evening and the cop pulled a "Starwars" ruler to measure the plate, I wemnt into a rant about using a calibrated measuring instrument if he was going to do me, when my buddy who had stoped with me, reminded me that there was no rent on the bike, shut me mouth, took it on the chin:)
