  1. But there is a bracket each side, screwed from the side that holds the rubber in, did you just pull the rubber up or did you leave it off, if had them removed before.

  4. Tons better after cleaning, but i did take the whole light apart in the end as i fitted halos for sidelights. You will only reach the inside of the projector with the method i mentioned, but you can get access to the inner glass of the housing, by pushing the main beam reflector in a little. Its seated on round ended pegs, with 2 of them used for adjustment. You might be lucky to get at most of the glass that way.
  5. I used some meguiars swabs to do mine, before i ended up taking them apart. They are like big plastic cotton buds or an old artist paintbrush with a bit of microfibre cloth on the end, and use an alcohol based solution. I got a bottle from the chemist, used to clean wounds.
  6. I looked at that bumper so many times lol, i do like it and would just go for it, i were you.
  7. Dave was referring to using P40 fibreglass filler/paste. Using the flexible bonding will allow the paint to crack with any movement in the joins. I had this problem with my rear one piece light panel. I used the P40 for strength then a flexible plastic bumper filler on top. Look forward to seeing it finished, should look really smart.
  8. Is your car a Jap or UK? The problem your are having is normally associated with the the speedo. Dry solder or dodgy kph convertor. Are you still in kph or mph? Its possible the speed sensor is at fault but i would check the speedo board first.
  9. Dirty lenses Chris, you need to clean the inside of the projector lens, the grime/dust will scatter the light rather than focus it as it should.

After spending 5 hours today helping a mate out, changing a clutch on a clio,( awful job) by the way:no: I dont know about you, but I have loads to do on my car, but i find myself with more enthusiasm working on someone elses. Its the same with DIY, i dont mind getting stuck in, but when it comes to my own i cant be arsed:laugh: I just need to find that rocket to shove up me arse to get motivated :thumbup:

  15. Yes mate, it is advisible to do it anyway for peace of mind, makes no difference if its a TT or an N/A.
  16. Not so much in London, but Ascot or Kent. There will no doubt be members in your area who can offer advice or lend a hand but they are the 2 im thinking of who can do more, who are closest to you.
  17. Hi ande welcome to the club, there are a couple of people who deal with zeds, depending on where in London you are. I would get the tracking done when you get new tyres, the camber wont be an issue if its on stock shocks and springs, ie: not lowered. Tyre size the same as you have, its about right for 17's and Falkens are the most popular for the money and quality. Get some pics up and have a search around the site, theres some good info to be had, which might answer some questions you might have.

  22. Standard bulbs usually appear dim because the projector lens is dirty. Once the grime and dust is cleaned off the lens, its not too bad. An ultra bright or higher wattage bulb is better, i tried these before i got the HID's. My first HID's were 35watt, at the time i wasnt happy with the brightness, so i bought the 55watt kit. Also i had cleaned the whole of the inside of the light and lens before fitting the 55w, so they may have been ok with the 35w kit.

  24. If you can, get up to zedworld for the xmas bash on the 19th Dec. Lots went last year and looks like even more this year. Give you a chance to have a good run out with the car, great atmosphere and hospitality, food and drink.
