  1. Thank you for the comments. I always wondered why they never had them on the z32, they were standard on most jap cars including the z31.
  2. Cant stand xmas :tongue::rofl:
  3. After obtaining a velour interior, all the small panels are complete and its onto the door cards and rear panels by the seats. The interior pieces were for a UK car, so i got myself some UK door cards. The Door cards had some worn alcantara, so i stripped that off and fitted the velour and decided to add a door light, that will come on with the interior light when the door is opened. Hope you like :winkiss: And lit
  4. One company wanted £100 just to get it smooth, thats without polishing. There can be problems with chroming over a period of time, with heat etc.. there are some threads with the details.
  5. :happybday: have a great day Barry, i know you havent been on for a while, but hopefully you get to see this.:happybday:
  6. Looks slightly different to the picture of the one advertised on ebay. I know its the same bumper, but the lines around the exhaust outlets look different.
  7. There lots of polishing tips on youtube, just do a search
  8. Nice zed mate, look forward to seeing it in the flesh. At that angle though, it looks a little sqaure around the exhaust pipes, could do with rounding off, to make the lines flow better. Still very nice though.
  9. DIY job really, start off with an 80 grit to get the casting off and grind down the casting lines and work your way down through the grades. Wet and dry to get a finer finish before polishing. Once the casting is off i found a paint/varnish removal wheel, invaluable to get a good smooth finish. Then onto polishing wheels, sisal cutting wheel with compound etc Around 40 hours work, very monotonous and boring, but worth it in the end.
  10. No worries Andy, interesting though, i hope he looks at subbing, could offer a nice service.
  11. Although youve set your temp at the highest setting, the actual temp coming out wont have actually reached 40 unless on a long run. There are sensors which detect the temp inside the cabin and determine where the air comes out when at the desired temp. If you set it to say 26-28 you will find once up to that temp you will get air through the facia and door vents. In the diagnostic mode, you are supposed to be able to adjust levels and settings, but mine didnt seem to do much, which is why i changed to series 2 climate.
  12. Hi Ady, ive had to edit the thread as registered users are not permitted to sell or offer for sale. If you subscribe, you can offer your services or sell items, it looks like it could be a worthwhile service you could offer. Graham
  13. Send it to me Dave and i will upload it for you. Graham
  14. Are they on all the time when you have the side lights on?
  15. If you locate the solenoid behind the drivers side interior panel, disconnect it and put a meter across the wires feeding it. Engage the remote, and you should get a momentary 12v pulse. Unlock with the remote and you should get a reverse polarity pulse. If working, and the solenoid is actually actuating with the remote, check that it is fixed to the solid wire that actuates the door lock mech. It might not be adjusted correctly to unlock the mech. When your keyless entry is working properly on the Drivers side, it incorporates the central locking on the passenger side door.
  16. There should be another rod from to or from the solenoid, or its come off the end of the solenoid. http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=bf&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=10&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=46
  17. Or print onto some frost filter, i have some i use for lighting, lets the light through the white bits and hopefully blank out on the black ink. Will give it a go and see how i get on, then it can be back lit for a nice effect, with some rgb leds.
  18. Mybe you missed a plastic clip off the rod for the door lock mechanism.
  19. I know lol, its always the way, you make a comment, go to edit, then the bloody phone rings and before you know it, you make yourself look an arse :tt2: Before you can finish. Nice one Dave, i will give this a go. Cheers Graham
  20. A good idea in principal, but how would the light from behind, light the dial? lol I might give it a go, i have an ol clock.
  21. Climate control has its own diagnostic procedure http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=ha&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=112&design=default&total=168
  22. Yes you need a series 2 climate ecu and the series 2 pod. Direct plug and play, but they are getting hard to get hold of.
